bnovitzke says "How did we ever live without these!!!" about Fisher Price Link-A-Doos

I really am not sure how we lived without these! I mean what an invention...seriously!!! Yes...there is a downside...babies can sometimes unlink these..but that is a small price to pay! I love hooking toys to strollers and carseats. I can also link my "car-time" toys together so that they don't wind up under the seats! This is a "must-have."...

bnovitzke says "My #1 choice in bottles!!" about Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles

I love these bottles...they are easier to hold at 2am when your arm and everything else is getting so tired you want to pass out!! Plus they are pretty easy for my daughter to hold herself. You have to be aware of the stages of the nipples..my daughter never took the stage 1 nipples. My husband and I couldn't figure out why she wasn't getting any formula! She was 5 days old and it was our first night home from the hospital! I was freaked out and my husband said, "I don't think she is getting any milk!" So I told him to hurry up and bring a stage 2 nipple and sure enough...it worked...she was always gulper! I like these bottles alot..just be aware of the nipple sizes....

bnovitzke says "Ugh! of the generic brands, this was one of the worst!!" about Target Brand Diapers

This diaper was awful! I tried every generic diaper because I know that sometimes generic works just as well as name brand products. But first of all..this diaper was so thin, it didn't feel very good, and I found that I was changing her diaper twice as much! That kind of defeats the purpose of buying a cheaper diaper! Plus, when you have a wiggle worm, the less diaper changes in a day, the better!

The best value I found were the huggies you buy at Costco! They are around $38 for 200 (size 4). Sometimes Target also have the smaller packs of pampers and huggies on sale. If you use coupons on each of the smaller packs..buying 4 or 5 can equal the amount you buy at Costco...and it's less. I rec. stocking up when you see sales and sticking to huggies or pampers. (I thought Luvs were pretty cheap too)
...

bnovitzke says "A great way to introduce different aspects of the world" about Baby Einstein CD Collection

I bought the whole 23 dvd set on a site for $75 w/ free shipping! Great deal! I started putting them on when my daughter was 3 months old. (I noticed her watching the TV at night while IW as burping her) She couldn't see colors but she could see enough. I would stick her in her vibrating bouncy seat on our big coffee table so that she was right at the height of our TV. It was great! She would be soothed and even nod off and take naps. to this day..being 10 months old...she loves watching the new ones and she rocks back-and-forth to the music! It's a great way to introduce shapes, colors, seasons, animals, and many other topics. She is seeing things she would never get to see otherwise.

I kind of visualize these dvds as combining "baby mozart" cds with vocabulary books. Only it's better because they give you several examples and you can see video of sunsets and animals interacting in a way you can't in a book. Babies love these!
...

bnovitzke says "I LOVE MY JUMPEROO!!!!" about Fisher Price Deluxe Jumperoo

I do love this product!! I would have never paid $70 for it though...but if you can find it on sale or used...totally a great purchase!!! I stuck my daughter in it around 4 months old...she could just kind of hold herself up and was just starting to use her hands...she didn't bounce on purpose..maybe by accident....but it was good exposure for her. I just put her in it everyday and eventually she started playing with the toys, then she just started to jump a little one day...now...she jumps all the time...even when is in my lap or playing in her exersaucer. It's wonderful because she has this great leg strength now. She is almost 10 months old and only tolerates it for a short period of time now (she is crawling and find other things to get into). But I used to put her in it and she would last for a half-an-hour before she would start to fuss...it was great for when I had to do laundry or make dinner!!

My advice..find a friend who has it and try theirs because that will tell you if......

bnovitzke says "not worth the money!!" about Desitin Diaper Rash Cream

When my daughter was first born, I was soooo afraid of any kind of rash or skin irritation!! I was careful with EVERYTHING...bought the best expensive brands...then I realized that her skin is just fine! So when it comes to diaper cream..which I apply every night before bed..I buy the walmart and target brands! I think the Target brand is less than $2!!! I mean seriously...it goes on their butt!! My little one has NEVER has a serious diaper rash....so if yours has pretty good skin like mine...I would stick to the store brand!!...

bnovitzke says "saved my sanity on many occasions!!" about Sassy MAM Air Pacifiers

I love the mams! My little one is 9 months old and it's been a great comfort for her through the start of the teething process! Plus they are pretty easy for her to put into her mouth all by herself (since there is no "upside down." I also think they are pretty cute..I can usually find a mam to match her clothing. I know..shallow! But it's really fun!...
