blondiecub says "great enchiladas !!!!" about abuelo's mexican food - Mason, OH

It is Thursday at 11 a.m. Must mean it is ladies lunch time !!! We chose a place called Abuelo's. Serves mexican food. This is a chain restaurant, which i did not know about or had ever heard of prior to today.

We had over 30 again in our party. There was ample parking in the lot for us and all the regular customers. The only down side to this venue was no separate room. We were in the middle of the restaurant. tables and chairs lined up. Which we don't mind as much as i would think other customers not in the party would. we can get a little loud...

We got seated easily and we had two waiters working our group. they were very quick and helped those of us out who didn't know what exactly an enchilada was.

They offer a nice lunch menu with smaller portions, i ordered the chicken enchilada. it came with two enchiladas, a type of mashed potato and a side of rice. that with the corn chips and salsa was plenty to eat.

the food was very good and my meal was $6.99. The lunch menu went...
...

blondiecub says "deep tooth clean." about Sonicare Essence e5500 Electric Toothbrush

this review is focused on the philips sonicare electric toothbrush e5500. what a great little toothbrush !!!

After a dental cleaning, the hygienists recommended to me i try a electric toothbrush. i tend to brush too hard with a manual toothbrush and that is wearing my teeth. (who would of thought brushing too hard would be bad) so off i go to find an electric toothbrush.

i choose philips because it was a reliable brand name. the sonicare brush was about $90. it came with the electric toothbrush itself, an extra brush head, the electric charger and a little travel case for the heads. the bonus on the box stated a quadpacer, didn't know what that was, but i would give it a shot. the quadpacer is simply a sort of "timer". the brush runs for two minutes, the quadpacer makes the brush "hesitate" for a second, every 30 seconds. you divide your mouth into quadrants, front, back, top and bottom. brush for the 30 seconds on each quadrant, the brush hesitates and that is when you move to the next...
...

blondiecub says "great space saver" about Splendide waher/dryer combo..WD2100XCNA

If you are limited on space. the Splendide WD2100XCNA washer/dryer combo is for you. !!! it is the size of a portable washer, but you can dry your clothes in the same tub.

The dimensions of this little dandy is Width 23.4 inches, height 33.75 inches and depth 22 inches. the loading capacity is quite small, so this isn't something for a large family. perfect for one or two people, though. The washing capacity is 2 to 15 pounds. i can do a couple jeans and a couple shirts at a time. the drying capacity is 2-11 pounds.

there are several settings on this machine. everything from delicates to heavy duty jeans. it takes about an hour to wash and a hour or a little longer to dry. i had to learn from trial and error on what i could dry and it not be wrinkled when it came out. since the tub is so small, mens all cotton work shirts tend to stay wrinkled. so i just hang those up to dry.

the down side to using the same tub is you can't wash a load while another is drying. so a load a day keeps...
...

blondiecub says "keeps your face soft..." about Estee Lauder Moisture Relief Cream

this is for those 5 percent of us ladies with truly sensitive skin. i use the Estee Lauder Verite skin system and love it. !!!! this review will be about the estee lauder verite moisture relief creme.

This cream is very lightweight and it put on after the estee lauder verite calming fluid. a small amount goes a long way with this cream. it is used twice a day, morning and night. wait a few moments after you use the calming fluid before you put on the moisture relief creme. it makes your face feel so soft after it is used.

this product comes in a small 1.7 oz. glass jar with a lid that screws on. this jar is about $60 and lasts me about three months. that is about $20 a month. but well worth it. a note, this jar is glass, it does break if you drop it!!! this i know from experience.

The verite line from Estee Lauder can be purchased at Macy's, Dillard's or most fine department stores with an Estee Lauder cosmetic counter.

blondiecub says "perfect for sensitive skin" about estee lauder estee lauder verite calming fluid

this is for those ladies with truly sensitive skin. i use the estee lauder verite skin cleansing line. and it works wonderfully. i searched a long time and tried many products before i got to estee. i love it.

the Cleansing step was talked about in a previous review. after the gentle lotion cleansing, i use the Estee Lauder Verite Calming fluid. this stuff is amazing. this fluid actually helps sensitive skin act more like normal skin should. it does what it says. it calms your face. any redness or little bumps go away. my biggest problem was the redness and those little bumps under the skin on your face. i use two little squirts, twice a day to make my skin act and feel good. once in the morning and once at night. at night, i use it after the light lotion cleanser.

i was told at the estee counter that those with normal skin use this a lot also. if you get a sunburn or some redness, put this on and it helps those type of faces also.

the calming fluid comes in a small 1.7 oz. bottle with...
...

blondiecub says "for really sensitive skin....." about Estee Lauder verite light lotion cleanser

this is for those 5 percent of the laides who have truly sensitive skin...estee lauder verite is wonderful !!!! i looked and tried many different products before i found and stuck with this one. the verite line is cleansing, use of a calming fluid and a moisturizer. i will talk about the cleanser on this review.

the cleanser comes in a 6.7 oz. plastic bottle with a pump on top. the whole name is Estee Lauder Verite light lotion cleanser for sensitive skin. You use it once a day-at night to remove your makeup from the face.

the best way to use this for truly sensitive skin is to wet the face, pump a squirt or two onto your fingers, gently pat on your face (i rub just a little) then remove with a tissue. Really sensitive faces break out when using a washcloth to wipe off any cleanser. it usually takes a couple of tissues to get all the cleanser off.

the bottle of cleanser runs $27.50 for 6.7 ozs. a bottle lasts about 9 months for me and use it every night. so the monthly price breakdown...
...

It was thursday, 11:30a.m., this means ladies lunch again. We chose the Cheesecake Factory in Beavercreek, Oh for this weeks lunch. Several of us have eaten at Cheesecake factories in other locations, but a few had never tried this restaurant. it did not disappoint.

Again we had over 30 in our lunch group. They were able to get all of us together with the exception of four. but they sat at a table very close to us. there were several children at this lunch, all were seated in high chairs with the group.

the parking was ample. the cheesecake factory is in "The Greene" shopping plaza. so there was mall parking. there was also parking on the street, but those were metered spots. If you drive around to the front of the mall, there is a large free parking lot. it is not that far of a walk to the restaurant or the stores.

We got seated quickly, they started handing out menus immediately and got our drink orders in. Brought the bread and butter out.The waitress was very effecient getting...
...

well, it was time for ladies lunch again. we choose a mexican place in lebanon, OH called Acapulco Mexican Restaurant. what a cute little place this was. We had 30 in our lunch group again, and they were very accomodating. they did not have a special room, but they did put many tables together in the middle of the dining room so we could all sit together. i always prefer out own room, but this was a new place to try.

our lunches are always at 11:00 a.m. When we started to arrive, that is when they put the tables together, even though we called ahead and they were expecting us. but we did not have to wait long.

we had three waiters dedicated to just us. that was nice. they took the drink orders and got them right out. I ordered a large frozed strawberry margerita..OMG, it was the size of a bath tub !!! i asked for more straws and shared with a couple of the other ladies. and all of us could not finish this monster. That's what i call a good time !!!!!

i ordered a vegetarian burrito...
...

the ladies in our group like to go out on Thursday for a "ladies lunch" it is fun, get a little social time and keep up with friends. On this lunch date, we also had a baby shower for one of the girls expecting in May. We chose Viva Tequila Mexican Grill in Mason, OH. it is just off interstate 71, next to McDonald's. We all arrived at 11:00 a.m. and they placed us in a private room in the back of the restaurant. there were about 40 of us, including children. they let us decorate, bring in a cake and had a table for the gifts for us. the room was large and colorful. someone there does like marilyn monroe a lot, a couple of her pictures were on the wall along with the mexican theme.

they served us the chips and salsa first, then drink orders. i will suggest the frozen margaritas...they are very yummy!!!! then on to the orders. i had a veggie queisadilla. VERY YUMMY!!!! the girls at my table also ordered a taco salad and steak fajitas. all said their meals were good.

we had three waiters...
...

while visiting ohio, a friend of mine who is originally from there told me i HAD to grocery shop in a store called dorothy lane in springboro, OH. she picked me up and off we go. WOW, what a store. very high end grocery shopping, for sure. the bakery employs a french-canadian pastry chef. the cookies are big, soft and chewy. brulee, cheesecake and some desserts i can't pronounce, but look delicious.!! the meat department has beautiful cuts of meat, plus they will cook it to order on the grill next to the beef station. they furnish plates and silverware if you would like to take your cooked steak upstairs to eat on the second floor. furnished with tables, chairs, a meeting room and a piano...IN A GROCERY STORE!!

my honey had a porterhouse and i had a southwestern cheeseburger a couple of days later when i told him about this store. they both were very good. we picked up a tea and a strawberry crush in the bottle to drink with our meal. the customer service station had a bottle opener for...
...

i have never tried a donatos pizza until i visited southwest ohio. i find out it is a chain pizza, kinda like godfather's, with it's own specialty. edge-to-edge pizza. NO CRUST!! how wonderful is that!! and the pizza is really good. nice, big chunks of vegetables, onions, peppers, mushrooms. and very fresh. there was not a layer a grease standing on the pizza. which makes it tastes better to me and does not upset my stomach. Greasy pizza does that...

you stand in a line and place your order. the server waiting on us was a sweet young lady that was very helpful in making our pizza decision. you then pay for your meal, get your glasses for the fountain drink and take a seat.

there are booths and tables. the first booth we sat at ended up having a very energentic little girl behind us that liked to jump on the seat. so we moved to the party room.

the party room is a small room you can book for small parties. looked like it may hold about 25-30 people tops. but it has a door that can be...
...
