blondemusic says "Game is pretty hardcore, but book is a classic, her best work!" about Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express for Windows

I read the book before playing the game, and found that even though the plot was rather depressing (murder and all), but she found ways to add humor and an interesting twist to a common story: A murder on a train, mystery ensues, everyone a suspect, careful elimination of suspects but oh wait! I can't tell you, you have to read it for your self and discover the appeal of an Agatha Christie book/game. She works the plot beautifully and the game does not stray far...almost too close to the book to play right after or before, but with a suitable distance between them they can both be enjoyed. The game, being a mystery had three different endings, and was very hard at some places. I just got a walk through and it helped....alot : ) I really recommend this to mystery lovers or not, myself being not a true mystery lover, but I enjoy the suspense. I loved them both, and got her other game (and then there were none, which was a little to dark for me, but you might enjoy it). —...

blondemusic says "While slightly colored in anger, Kelly really shows herself." about Kelly Clarkson - My December

Even though she got a little angry at someone during the writing period obviously, at least she had the guts to connect to people on all the levels she can. Not only singing about letting your self follow your dreams, but feeling the anger when some one hurts you. She pulls off a great collection of song, and while a depressing cloud is cast over the album, she has a real sound and it's refreshing to see. —...

blondemusic says "Must have for any CD collection" about Taylor Swift by Taylor Swift

Having been a bit skeptical at first, I quickly found myself swept away into the world Swift paints in her intelligently creative songs. Great lyrics and a over all fun, country, good'ol girl CD. In a league of her own, by being not only a role model, but also being herself in a very public way, Swift sets herself apart and enjoys every second. —...

blondemusic says "Amazing Insights" about Carrie Underwood - Carnival Ride

I don't know if it's possible, but this is even better than her first CD. I love the emotions and views she expresses in her songs this time around. Telling it straight and giving her all Underwood pulls another hit out of her voice. Totally worth every penny you'll spend. —...

blondemusic says "Hilarious and Educational, the perfect teacher you never had..." about Good Eats

I was introduced to what I could almost call a Good Eats addiction, by my sister a few months ago. Having tasted the good work that comes from watching his amazing show I know he knows what he's talking about. He teaches you recipes, but teaches you why you mix certain things together. Two thumbs up for Alton Brown! You have to see him to believe it, you'll never know what hit you! —...

blondemusic says "Very eye opening and information" about 1984

Being born after the Russian revolution I have not experienced a culture so terrorized.
— Reading Orwell's beautifully crafted and emotionally attaching book has not only taught me about the Revolution that swept a country, but also about the power of such things as language and history. I read this book and then read the Spark Notes book as well, and learned a lot more about not only the history behind Orwell, but his reasons for writing 1984 and Animal Farm. Both of which are very well written and deeply moving. I can't possibly give you everything that happens in this amazing book, so I urge you to pick up a copy and a Spark Notes book on it as well. I -like many other reviews have mentioned- have heard the terms "Big Brother" and "all people are equal, but some are more equal than others" and now understand them, having read both 1984 and Animal Farm. You will never look at some things the same way, but we cannot afford to be naive. I not only enjoyed reading a classic,...

blondemusic says "A wonder sequel to an amazing series!" about Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

I have been a fan of all three, and this, being the last of which, I completely adore. : )
— The beginning as usual starts out the movie with an adventure partial to our favorite pirate crew and ship. As some have said ' Even I wouldn't mind sailing with these pirates' and I second the remark! This is one series on which you will never hear me saying anything negative: Witty Humor, Beautiful stories, Wonderfully sculpted characters, thrilling action...what's not to love?! —...

blondemusic says "Very long, and most of the movie was focused on one thing..." about Marie Antoinette (2006)

I was very interested in this movie from the beginning, but when I finally caught it I was quite disappointed. That is not to say that the characters were not exquisite and beautifully filmed, but the final product together was not the action film, romance, or comedy some people expected. It took the long story, kept it long and while the beginning and end I liked, the middle left something to be desired. Most of the movie was about her trying to get pregnant, while that makes us remember how big of deal that was when Marie Antoinette was alive, when you see about an hour of a woman getting dressed, eating, and wanting to have sex so she can have a child and make sure she won't get divorced, you become slightly bored.
— And boredom is the primary thing I will remember about this movie. I enjoyed the middle end, because the plot finally continued onto something amusing about her. But, while I would recommend it, I probably won't buy it. Once was enough for me. —...

blondemusic says "Wasn't as good as expected, but good none the less." about Atonement

Ok, it was a fairly good movie. The French subtitles were helpful, but over all it lacked a gripping story line. At the end of a movie such as Titanic -which Atonement has been compared to- you feel like apart of you has died when you see a character in pain. Atonement had some iffy scenes, but they were needed to build the plot. I good movie to take the slightly old kids (over 13) to and point out what happens when you assume something and act on it without thinking it through. The plot I must say if very good, taking the viewer on twist and turns as the narrator herself finds things out. And ending it on a happy note, then taking your vision of the end away in an abrupt move, leaving you with the painful end. Close to Titanic, but not quite. —...
