blkdolfin says "Painfully magnificent." about The Road

To say it brought me to tears would be an understatement. The Road is a masterpiece. It was so beautifully written that it's hard to believe it is a work of fiction, althought, thankfully it is. One of my favorite pastimes is imagining a story as a film. If adapted correctly and casted appropriately ( I see Russel Crowe as the father and the little boy in "The Hours" as the son) it would undoubtedly Oscar worthy. Painful yet compelling, The Road is one of the best books I've read in many years and I read several books a year. ...

blkdolfin says "Can't wait to see it made into a great movie!" about The Time Traveler's Wife

This was one of the most entertaining books on time travel I've ever read, and I've read plenty (starting with the graddad of them all, H.G. Wells' "The Time Traveler"). It had well developed and sympathetic characters, enough twists to keep it interesting and came off as really beliveable, not easy with such a cliched foundation. I have and continue to recommend this book to others that I know enjoy this genre. One of the things I liked best is how it could easily be adapted into a screenplay (John Cusack or Jamie Foxx as the lead and Kyra Knightly as the title character) that would be well worth seeing. ...

blkdolfin says "Great is an understatement" about Apple - iPod Photo (60 GB) MP3 Player

Both my grown kids have this and they both love it! It is my daughter's second (the first was stolen) and my son's birthday gift. I plan to get myself one for the new year! I love the selections available as to color, the capacity and the ease of use. It is the best of this type of gadget and a must for all music lovers. You may wish to consider a refurbished one if cost is a big issue. But new or refurbed, it is a great buy and I highly recommend it....
