Wells' "The Time Traveler").  It had well developed and sympathetic characters, enough twists to keep it interesting and came off as really beliveable, not easy with such a cliched foundation.  I have and continue to recommend this book to others that I know enjoy this genre.  One of the things I liked best is how it could easily be adapted into a screenplay (John Cusack or Jamie Foxx as the lead and Kyra Knightly as the title character) that would be well worth seeing. ...
