http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/bkhamer Sat, 29 Dec 2007 05:00:41 GMT Reviews by bkhamer http://www.viewpoints.com/Hairspray--21104-review-51ce1 This a great  movie but it is different then the original.  This has more songs/music.  My daughter and I loved this movie but not my son or hubby.  They both said there were way to many singing songs in this movie.  So this movie is not for you if you do not like musicals. — The plot is the same as the original movie but this verision did not have the same acts/scenes as the original movie did.  I did miss the beatnicks in this verision.    I must admit that even though John Travolta gave a terrific performance I do not care for him in drag.  The female star who plays Tracy resembles Rikki Lake very much.  I am a huge Rikki Lake fan and the new female star did not disappoint me at all.   Also loved Queen Latiah in this verision. — We were lucky enough to get this DVD with a bonus DVD with lots of extras that are very good and interesting. — Once again.  I highly recommend this DVD... Made with so much fun and a true happy spirit that it also reaches outside this goal audience. —  This is a fun, make you smile, type of movie. I'll leave this short as so many other people have described the movie greatly. My husband and I both enjoy this. It's great to watch and fun to just put the movie on and listen to the music while you work. — — The songs are very catchy and are in your head easily. This sure helps the movie's success. Just like with Grease, these songs are ones you can, after a few times of listening, happily sing along. — — Then there are a lot of colourful characters people can relate to. Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens are good charming leads and give the story a nice touch. — But next to all that fun, there are of course some lessons in the film as well. I thought it was fantastic. Guitar Hero II is even better! Great songs, great gameplay, quite addictive. A must buy for all of us want to be rock stars.  — The graphics are pretty good - but really, when your working the controller (looks similar to a guitar) you have a hard time watching to see what is on the screen. — Here are a few of the songs.  Cherry Pie, You really got me,  Them Bones, Can't you Hear me Knocking, Message in a Bottle, Girlfriend. We had a party at the house and both kids and adults had a ball being pretend rockstars playing the Guitar Hereo II. — One nice thing is that you can use your same controll from orginal guitar hero.  But it is also nice to have more then on controllers. — My only con and this not the games fault.  Is that we only have 1 ps2 so I have to wait... GREAT CAR TO TAKE ON A ROAD TRIP ESPECIALLY WITH THE PRICE OF GASOLINE NOW A DAYS. — WARRANTY SEEMS SUPERB.  OF COURSE I HAVE NOT HAD TO USE IT YET. — ALSO THE COST FOR THIS CAR IS VERY REASONABLE AND SO IS INSURANCE. There are numerous places to plug in your USB equipment so you can add on different types of hardware. — You will not go wrong buying this Dell for yourself or anyone else. Makes a great Christmas gift at a very reasonable price. — The only con I could find is that this system comes with windows Vista.
