bethano says "Durable, convenient, and good value" about Fisher Price Healthy Care High Chair

This is a durable high chair that is a good value for the money. It's easy to clean, and we liked the adjustable back so that our babies could sit with us during dinnertime even when they were still too young to eat solids. My favorite part is the removable tray insert, which is easy to clean. Just don't cut on it with a sharp knife! It will scratch the plastic and leave grooves. Fortunately Fisher-Price sells the insert separately on their website for a good price, if you ever need to replace it.

I think my only complaint is the cushion design -- it's not as cute as some of the others I've seen. But you can't see it when the baby's sitting in it!
...

bethano says "This pump is easy, convenient, and comfortable" about Medela Pump In Style Advanced Backpack

This is a great breast pump -- fast and easy to use, whether you're pumping for spare bottles or just to relieve some engorgement. It's portable and convenient, and I like that you can pump right into bottles and then store them in the fridge or freezer. I got the adapters for the Avent bottles (which have a wider mouth than other bottles) and was very happy with them.

The only drawback is the price. It's a good investment if you plan to have more than one child, or you're a working mom who has to pump a lot. Unfortunately, because of health concerns, you shouldn't pass this along to someone else; it's a one-user machine. But if you'll get a lot of use out of it, it's worth the cost....

bethano says "Love how thin they are, but too expensive" about Fuzzi Bunz Pocket Diapers

We've used a big variety of cloth diapers. I really like how trim the FuzziBunz are, and they're very easy to put on (once they're stuffed with the insert, which is a bit of a nuisance) and to wash. However, they are really expensive compared to other cloth diapers, and I don't think they're worth the cost. We had more leaks with these than with any other cloth diaper, and the snaps sometimes make it hard to get the right fit.

We much prefer using thin hemp inserts with a fleece liner (you can make these yourself for pennies -- just cut a piece of microfleece into rectangles and place them against baby's skin to keep them nice and dry). It's a bit bulkier but less than half the cost of FB.
...

bethano says "Good value, but price is creeping up" about Target Brand Diapers

We use Target diapers almost exclusively because of the price. Absorption is good, and they're nice and thin. Unlike some other cheaper diapers we've tried, this one doesn't have a weird odor once it gets dirty, and it doesn't get too puffy when wet.

One drawbacks for us is the fit -- on my son, the diaper is not quite wide enough around the waist, and it's a little too long. Pampers fit better, but the cost is prohibitive. Another drawback with the Target brand is that they recently raised the price -- not by a lot, but enough that I'm going to start looking for Huggies coupons (and make a more concerted effort to potty train!)....

bethano says "Sturdy, easy, washable, and versatile" about Kangaroo Korner Fleece Pouch

We've used the Kangaroo fleece sling for both of our kids and it works great. It's very easy to put on, and easy to get the baby in and out. My little ones loved peeping over the edge and looking around.

This sling IS adjustable, it just takes a little longer to resnap than some other slings I've seen. My husband and father-in-law, both of whom are about 10" taller than I am, have worn this comfortably.

Another thing I really like is that you can use this sling for older babies. Once your baby is too big to fit all the way inside, you can have them straddle your hip and tuck the sling under their bottom, allowing you to carry them with your hands free.

The only drawback is that the fleece can get a bit hot in the summertime. Otherwise, I'd definitely recommend this sling, especially if you plan to use it for multiple children.

...
