bestbet33 says "One word...WOW!" about Quality Suites San Luis Obispo - San Luis Obispo, CA

I stayed here on business for one night and was a little apprehensive at first because it was a Choice brand hotel. I was expecting something along the lines of a typical Comfort Inn or Econo Lodge. I could not have been more surprised at the comfort, service, and quality that went into every aspect of this hotel.

Upon check-in I was immediately greeted by a friendly desk clerk and was checked in within two minutes. The lobby was beautifully decorated and in immaculate condition. I was asked if I wanted a more secluded room (away from pool) or a room off the pool. I opted for a pool side room. The rooms were spacious and included a microwave, fridge, two TV's and a DVD player. They actually had a system where you could check out DVD's from the gift shop at no charge (while they certainly didn't have a huge selection, I had no problems finding something I wanted to see).

The free drinks in the evening were not much compared to some of the hotels I have stayed at (eg. Embassy Suites) and......

bestbet33 says "Not impressed..." about Hilton Sacramento Arden West - Sacramento, CA

I can't say I was terribly impressed by the hotel. It is evident that the management is spending a lot of money on "trying" to bring the old hotel up to date. Unfortunately, it is not quite there yet.

Check-in was quite speedy. As a HHonors gold member I did not receive an upgraded room. They said I chose "free internet" for my VIP benefit so I was unable to receive access to the lounge. This was unfortunate because I found an unsecured wireless network that was free anyways. I got a room on the 10th floor (out of 12) and had a view of the freeway, a junk yard, the restaurant roof, and the train tracks. I do however acknowledge that they have no control of their surroundings. VIP members also receive two free bottles of water.

The room was quite nice (exactly as shown in other user photos). It had obviously been newly remodeled. The beds were very comfortable and everything was in good working order. A refrigerator will cost you an additional $16 a night. One thing I did not like about the......

bestbet33 says "Highly reccomended for transfer students" about Cuesta College

I went to Cuesta from 2004-2007 and was able to transfer to Cal Poly with a GPA of 3.14. I am confident that if I went to any other college I would have not of gotten in with that GPA. The college had a lot of programs focused on your success. They helped me with tutoring and helped me fill out my college application to transfer (all for free). They offer many classes from GE to specialty classes. I was able to get a hospitality diploma on the side which helped me get a good job at a hotel to help pay for college. There are some bad teachers though they can easily be avoided by going to cuestaratings.com and doing some research. While I had to commute 25 minutes to Cuesta (Hancock is technically closer) it was worth it because they offered me a wonderful college experience....

bestbet33 says "Awesome Navigation System - Highly Reccomend!!" about Magellan - Maestro 4000 GPS Navigation System

I bought this on overstock and got it for $300 shipped. I used to hate driving in places which were not familiar. This product has changed everything. It exceeded my expectations by far. It gives a lot of useful useful information (other than directions) like ETA, points of interest, and AAA information with your coordinates if you break down. The directions are detailed and separate window pops up if there is a especially tricky maneuver. It also comes with a suction cup that easily affixes to the windshield. To people who I have driven with have since purchased their own. ...

bestbet33 says "Good value / good tv" about Philips - 32PF5321D-37 LCD Television

I purchased this 32" LCD TV on super sale on Overstock.com. After discounts i got it for $689 shipped. The picture is clear and bright, it has a lot of inputs, and looks sleek in my bedroom. I bought it to replace my 32" tube TV. Now that I have it I kind of wish I spent the little bit extra to get the 37" because it looks a lot smaller that the tube TV screen. The TV is bigger, depth wise, than most flat screen TV's i've seen (5"). Also, for some reason I thought it wad a DVI (monitor) input. Now that I look back at the description, I see it is not included on this model. Furthermore, on certain sound pitches the tv speakers rattle (not too frequent though). All in all, I am happy with it though if I had a second chance I probably would have considered other models....
