benjy1 says "On my side" about Nationwide Insurance

Had one accident a year ago...not really an accident, someone sideswiped my minivan while it was parked. Anyway, I called Nationwide, we discussed where I would like to take my car to be repaired, they made the arrangements and also arranged for a rental from Enterprise. No muss, no fuss, no hassles. I've heard horror stories from peoples' experiences with auto damage claims, but Nationwide made this as painless an experience as could be....

benjy1 says "Great way to earn fre Red Lobster meals" about MyPoints

I've probably earned $200+ in Dardens (Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc.) gift certificates over the many years I've been a member of MyPoints. Yes, I've made my share of purchases through their website, and generally the discounts aren;t as great as buying through other means, but those points sure do add up fast. And you can earn significant points without purchasing...just by reading their emails and clicking the links, and taking the occasional surveys they send, those points just accumulate! I average a $10 gift card award every other month for very little effort!...

benjy1 says "Bought for my wife, but now I fight her to drive it" about Hyundai Elantra - 2007

We went looking for a small 4 cylinder car for my wife, and we fell in love with this. You just wouldn't believe all the bells & whistles that were included at no extra charge, that the other mfrs charge extra for. It's comfortable to drive, very fuel efficient, and even peppy. I love this car and often fight my wife to drive it on errands. This is without a doubt the best small (they call it mid-size) car I have ever owned, you can't beat their warranty, and the price was great too!...

benjy1 says "Not for delicate stomachs" about Chili's - Multiple Locations - Pompano Beach, FL

Chili's specializes in Southwest style foods. We had a new one just open in the Harrisburg PA area, and I took my wife to try it out..even though she can;t handle spicy foods very well, we expected that they would have some options for visitors such as her. Wrong. Everything on the menu had "kick" to it. My wife ordered some ribs that the server saild was only "mildly spicy", but it was still too much for my wife and she left most of it. If you like some "kick" in your food, then this is the place for you, but if you prefer things not so spicy, you will probably want to pass on this place....

benjy1 says "Quick & cheap breakfasts" about Colonial Park Diner - Harrisburg, PA

I visit this place for breakfast a couple times a month. For the most part, the service by the morning breakfast staff is very fast. The food won't win rave reviews, but it's no worse than that of other places in the Harrisburg area, is reasonably priced, and is usually served hot. The morning staff are mostly regulars that have been there for a long time, and once they get to know you will kibbitz with you when they have a moment. As far as lunch and dinner, I've tried them a couple times, and the previous reviews are pretty much on the mark...I doubt I'll return anytime in the forseeable future for lunch or dinner. I'll stick with breakfast....
