beetle33 says "You pay for what you get" about Payless Car Rental

Rented a car in Tampa, FL for 4 days in Nov 07 at Payless. We waited over a half hour in line. There were 2 people ahead of us, only 1 person was taking the reservations, other people were working but seemed to just keep wandering around and then dissapear.

The person ahead of us said to the employee, "Look, I said I didn't want the extra insurance. There are people waiting, I don't need the sales pitch." The employee then yelled, "This is a full disclosure rental company. I can put you back on the shuttle!" The full disclosure policy involves scare tactics-"Your insurance is not enough coverage. If you are in an accident, then the car will have to be repaired and the part may be on back order and this could take 60 days and you will have to pay for the car the entire time."

He then asked us if we would like to upgrade our car, we asked what the mid-size would be. He said, "Like a Nissan Sentra". He had the key at that time. After we signed the paperwork he told us to take our 2 door mustang.......
