beca1956 says "A gift worth giving for a kitchen queen" about Cuisinart stick blender

A first, the stick by cusinart seemed ok with nothing stongly recommending it to me. It came as a Christmas gift and I was eager to try it out. Limitation for the little machine are mostly size, if there is lots of stuff to chop or blend, one is better off with the standing blender or mixer. small quanities are good with this machine. Easy to clean, some parts are machine washable, some are rinse and pat dry. The company offers a wonderful three year replacement program, which I used after the first year. One note, the wisker attachement is too weak to mix any cake mixes or such, stick to egg whites only! The chopper is fast, interesting that you can reverse the blade to go from pulverize blend to just chop (salsa) the service people were so nice and helpful and even called me back when the answering machine picked up. I always try to hold on to the paperwork, but in this case I looked them up online and found the phone number and an email contact to send the info on the...
...

beca1956 says "Southwest tries hard" about Southwest Airlines

I started traveling more with Soutwest when I became a companion pass holder with my husband as the primary flyer. The program is not toted as much as it could be and although I have a special card, I only was asked for it one time to produce it at the airpot. Really a blesssing, in case I misplace it. The interesting part for me is watching the actual people running the flight on the plane, I know the training is the same for everyone, but the a happier personality on board can change a flight from boring or uncomfortable to interesting and cheery. I have been exiting a plane seeing wrapper all over the floor, but when I get on a southwest flight I rarely see any trash. I do feel that the rush to put people in their seat for take-off only works well when the flight is not late to landing or late for boarding for problems beyond anyones control. An interesting long distance ( orange county CA to BWI ) flight had the attendents racing peanuts down the aisle and prizes...
...

beca1956 says "advil has alot going for it" about Advil Advanced Medicine for Pain 200mg Tablets 24 Each

Advil has been around awhile now and even my dr. recommend it BEFORE I start out a day where I know I will be gardening, lugging heavy things or pulling stuff. The tablet style rather than the caplet is much easier to swallow, has a slight sweet coating ( reminds me of the coating on a M+M ) and can slide down your throat with no to slight water. I got a bottle of caplets one time accidently and was surprised how hard they were to swallow. One side effect that I have noticed, for me at least, is when I take it, I need to use the restroom through the day, perhaps it tenderizes ones' kidney while it is dulling the pain. It is not something you should want to take everyday, everyweek, every year. I like the fact that comparing Advil to asprin, you get no stomach burning, comparing it to Tylenol, easier to swallow. I would recommend trying this product and using different aches and pains and a headache to give yourself the comparision.
...
