bargainhunter30 says "Nuvi 680 is at the head of the class in portable GPS systems" about Garmin - Nuvi 680 GPS Receiver

I purchased my Garmin Nuvi 680 about nine months ago and it is the best money I've spent this year. Don't get me wrong it is pricey, especially compared to other units, but it is worth every penny. The things I love about it is the size, it is flat and I keep it in my purse when not in use. The blue tooth is a must have, it is great when you are on long trips because I am not a fan of the ear pieces, they annoy me, so this is an awesome alternative. Additionally, I have a Motorola Razor phone so my text messages sync with the nuvi and I can either listen or read them on the screen. I also love the traffic updates that are available (free for the first year then available via a subscription). They worked great on a recent trip up North, alerted me of an accident just ahead on I95 and allowed me to take an alternative route. I live in Maryland and took my Garmin on a road trip to West Palm Beach this summer, stopping in Atlanta for a few days on the way home. I've made this...
...

bargainhunter30 says "2,000 songs and fits in my jean pocket, how great is that!" about Apple - iPod Nano 3rd Generation Media Player

Okay so I finally crossed over into the world of Apple. I have been a hold out because of itunes to be honest. So what do I think two weeks into being the new owner of a 3rd generation iPod Nano in a sharp green color? I love it, my goal was to have a music player that would hold my collection of cd's which were about 100 or so. I am not much of a music person so ease of use was just as important as how many songs it would hold and to be honest sound. The nano scored high marks on all accounts. A helpful hint, it is easier to download your cd's directly into the software rather than importing them from your pre-existing library on your computer. I made that mistake and it didn't capture the tracks and titles it was a mess so I started over and it was beautiful. itunes will import the artwork and when it cannot find it, it takes about three clicks to upload it yourself. The screen is not huge but a great size for flipping through your cover art looking for your favorite album. ...
...

bargainhunter30 says "This machine is a Starbucks killer" about Braun Tassimo Coffee Maker

I had been looking for a coffee machine for a while, a regular pot was out of the question, and I wasn't impressed with the machines that make coffee directly into the travel mugs. One visit with a friend who has this machine and I was sold; she made a perfect cappuccino in less than two minutes. The best part of this system is the variety I am a huge cappuccino fan, and for the price of 1 cup of Starbucks you can buy a pack of Maxwell house which will make 8 cappuccinos they have 8 milk discs and 8 espresso discs. These are available at Target or online at tassimodirect.com, Target generally has better prices. You can also buy ghirardelli coffee products, which will make mocha, white mocha etc. cappuccinos so yummy that you walk by Starbucks without a second thought about going in. This is the feature that distinguishes this machine from the rest of the pod or disc systems, they make cappuccino flavored coffee, the tassimo spits the milk to create froth or just adds the milk...
...
