baileymouse says "A wonderful oasis in Tijuana" about Hotel Lucerna Tijuana - Tijuana,

My husband and I spent 9 nights at the Hotel Lucerna in November of 2007. We had gone to Tijuana because I was having reconstructive surgery at the Cosmed Clinic, which was located 3 blocks from the hotel.

Check in was a breeze and everyone was extremely helpful. The room was comfortable with a nice balcony. If you are going and you like quiet, request a room that faces the pool instead of the front of the hotel - the noise from the traffic circle can be a bit much.

We were given daily fruit baskets, chocolates, bottled water and extra towels. I had my surgery the day after we checked in, and when I returned a day later the staff went out of their way to make sure that I was comfortable. Our maid brought us extra towels and she would take extra care with bleaching the bathroom. The hotel lent us a wheelchair so that my husband could take me out to see the sights. If we asked for anything it was provided instantly.

Not many hotels offer 24 hr. room service anymore but the Lucerna has a nice......

baileymouse says "Fast computer at a great price." about Dell XPS 410

I bought the Dell XPS 410 this past June. I was replacing an older Desktop model from 2002, and I knew that my family would be needing a lot more memory.

The only disappointment has been with the Vista operating system. At times IE will suddenly stop working and it seems to be a conflict with vista. Also, some of our older components (printers, webcam) won't work with Vista. I'm sorry I didn't ask Dell to provide us with XP instead.

I ordered the computer with extra RAM so we have 4GB right now. I wanted to make sure that the computer wouldn't become obsolete right away, especially since we use a lot of memory-intensive programs like Photoshop. My husband works from home and is online and working on photos and documents all day, and I tend to get on the computer at night. So far so good.

The 8 USB ports are good to have, although I wish there were more than 2 up front. Those are constantly being used for phone charging and my husband's headset. The card reader that came with the computer......

baileymouse says "Great little pocket-sized camera" about Canon - Power Shot SD1000

This little camera takes amazingly clear pictures. I was looking for something small to carry on vacation, and the Canon SD1000 fit the bill.

In spite of its compact size, the camera has a sizeable LCD screen that helps you see exactly what you're trying to shoot. The color tones in the LCD are really crisp. The face-recognition feature is a great plus - it helps make sure that all faces in the shot are in focus. The auto focus works very well.

The camera starts up very quickly, and there's no waiting before being able to take a picture. I like that. I had a Fuji that used to take forever and this is a welcome change.

If you're looking for just a little bit more, like image stabilzation, you might want to go for another model. However, the price of the SD1000 can't be beat for a camera of this quality.

The rechargable battery lasts a long time and the charger folds flat for convenient travel. I've had this camera since February, 2007 and it's come with me to Vancouver, Seattle, Montreal and......
