baboese says "Older printer that still works well." about Canon i850

I purchased this printer to be able to print photos. I thought that it was nice to have 4 different ink cartridges also so I didn't need to purchase another one if just one ink color ran out. It worked fine right after I got it and still works, but I have noticed that I just can't seem to get the pictures quite right anymore. I've had it for at least 10 years though, so I don't really use it as a photo printer anymore. It still works great as a regular printer or as a printer to get an idea what a photo would look like, or to use as a photo printer for a photo that you are going to switch out in a frame frequently rather than one that you want to scrapbook.
...

baboese says "Still had problems." about Clinique Lash Power Mascara

I purchased the Clinique Lash Power mascara after a suggestion from a Clinique representative. I wanted to find a mascara that would not flake off under my eyes. I was assured this was the mascara for me. I liked the fact that it would come off with warm water and I didn't have to purchase another eye makeup remover. It went on fantastic and I really liked the color since it made my lashes quite dark.

I didn't love it though and actually ended up returning it. Basically, it covered well, but didn't make my lashes look any thicker, so I felt like my eyes didn't stand out as much as I like them to look since it just appeared my lashes were thinner. Also, I found that it did flake off just as much as all my other mascara's do. Now, this may be because I have allergies that bother my eyes and I probably touch/rub my eyes more than I should. I just found that little flakes would come off and end up IN my eyes and that would be irritating. I probably would have kept the mascara...
...

baboese says "Wish there were other options!" about ticketmaster.com

I wish there was some other way to get tickets for many different venues in the Mpls/St. Paul area OTHER than Ticketmaster. There are a lot of different concerts, plays or other attractions I would like to go to, but Ticketmaster has a monopoly on almost everything. Thankfully there are a few venues that will still allow you to purchase tickets directly at their box office. A lot of the time concerts are already expensive, but then you add in the "convenience charge" of using Ticketmaster which will be around $10 or more PER TICKET and it will make you rethink going to that concert or play. It is NOT convenient to use Ticketmaster when there is no other option. They can just charge this fee because you can only go through them. When will it be up to the venue to charge for the tickets over a company that overcharges their customers?
...

baboese says "Like it but it sometimes misses things." about Garmin - Nuvi 250

The Nuvi 250 is a good little unit since it is slim and light and easy to work right out of the box. There are many different voices that you can use as well as vehicles so it is fun for my kids to watch also. I bought it on a trip to CO and it worked great. I found the places I wanted to go with no problems.

You do have to watch where it tells you to turn occasionally. I was on top of a mountain in CO and it told me to turn left on the dirt road (there was no road, I would have been driving off the mountain) as well as told me to stay on a road that thankfully I was familiar with since I was directed at the last minute to take an exit that had a medians in between the road I was on and the exit I was supposed to go on. The last "issue" was it couldn't find a street near my house that I was looking up by an address, so I had to mapquest it instead. When I drove to the address, I took along my GPS to see what road it said I was on. It was the same road I was looking up, so...
...

baboese says "Love it" about Apple - iPod Nano 3rd Generation Media Player

I received the 8 gigabite iPod nano for Christmas two years ago and I still find that I love it. It is small and light so there is no problem bringing it places. It holds a ton of music. I have over 700 songs on it, video, and pictures and I still have over 4 GB left. I liked the size of it and how many different accessories you can purchase for the nano. I also loved how many colors you could pick. The only thing that confuses me is why did they only have this style for one year? I wasn't sure if it had something to do with wanting to keep the accessories the same from the previous years or not. I also really enjoy the iTunes application. It seems I can find any song I would ever want to hear on there...and $.99 per song isn't too much to pay.

The only problem I have ever had with it is it will occassionally skip past songs when they have only played half-way. Not sure if there is some issue with my iTunes that I have to look at or an issue with the iPod though since...
...

baboese says "HATE the battery!!!" about Casio - Exilim EX-Z1050 digital camera

I bought this camera thinking that it would be better for shooting pictures quickly since there was a major delay on my last one. I think it's a bit better, but not that fantastic. It was described as being able to take photos one after another when someone is moving. I have not found that this is true. Now...maybe I just haven't found that button yet, but I don't think so since I can make my way around a camera. Also, I didn't think much about the type of batter other than it would be nice to have a more powerful battery than just having AAs. This one comes with a Lithium Ion Battery which after charged should run quite a long time, although I have found that it typically just runs a few days at best. And there is very short notice when it gets low. It takes probably around 6 hours or so to charge fully, so I would recommend getting another as a back-up. I would actually prefer to have the AA batteries that are less expensive that I could just have on hand for when I'm...
...

baboese says "Surprised at what it DOESN'T pick up." about Dyson DC14 Animal Vacuum

The Dyson Vacuum (Animal DC14) is quite expensive for a vacuum...as are all the Dyson products. I have to say I get quite a bit of satisfaction seeing the massive amounts of dog hair that swirls through the vacuum as I'm using it. Even when there hasn't been a lot of days since I last vacuumed. It has a lot of suction and seems to pick up a lot of dog hair. Although, I have never used a bag-less system before, so I'm not sure if it's better or not. Also, if you have some dirt spilled on the floor or dust, it picks that up very well. Leaves a clean line over where you have been and where you still need to vacuum. That is also satisfying. The one thing I have been continuously surprised about though is that it doesn't seem to pick up much that is bigger than a piece of dirt. Say you have a very small sticker (that is not sticky anymore) laying on the floor...or a piece of paper. I will frequently have to go over such objects multiple times before it has been sucked up. ...
...
