awshucks says "One of the best and most entertaining TV shows out there!" about Amazing Race

This is an absolutely amazing show. I love reality TV so I love the competition aspect, but I also love that we get to see all these magnificent cities and countries that I can only dream of visiting. I also like seeing the contestants take part in challenges/competitions that are derived from the locations they are visiting. It's a nice way to peek into the local customs and traditions.

I also adore the host, Phil Keoghan. Aside from Anderson Cooper hosting The Mole a few years ago, Phil is my favorite reality TV host. He has a lot of personality and charm, plus you can obviously tell he has a love for travelling and trying new things.

The only thing I haven't liked about the show was the family edition a few seasons ago, but even that was more entertaining than most shows out there today....

awshucks says "Not the best Big Brother season but still good entertainment" about Big Brother 8

I've watched every single Big Brother episode starting from season 1. This wasn't the best season of the 8 (so far) but it was still very good entertainment for the summer. I subscribe to the live feeds and I love being able to see stuff that never makes it to air on TV.

This season had plenty of great characters and personalities - I most definitely had favorites as well as those I loved to hate. I wasn't fond of the America's Player concept where America voted on what the player had to do that week because I felt it was too gimmicky. This is why I much prefer the earlier seasons because there weren't any unnecessary twists - the game was more pure for lack of a better word.

This was still a good season though and as addictive as ever!...

awshucks says "Great show even if you're not a football fan" about Friday Night Lights

I didn't watch this show during the first season because I thought it'd be very football-centric. Finally, after hearing my friends all raving about this show, I gave in and watched the entire season in 2 days. The first few episiodes, particularly the pilot, were definitely more football-centric than I care for but it was necessary to establish the plot and everyone's roles. The show still deals with football, obviously, but they've also incorporated a lot of character building. Everyone is nicely fleshed out and three-dimensional.

The show doesn't use any soundstages and always shoot on location which makes for great cinematography. I really love the feel of the show and how you feel like you're right there in the action, whether it be the football games or in their houses.

I highly recommend this show to everyone. For others out there who dislike football with a fiery passion, give the show a shot anyway!...

awshucks says "Such an addictive show" about Hell's Kitchen

I'm a huge reality TV nut which means I'll watch just about anything. This isn't the most high-brow show out there - in fact, I'd probably list it in the low-brow category. However, it is still a very entertaining show. I like to see what kinds of dishes the chefs will prepare both during the dinner service as well as the reward challenges.

I kind of wish Chef Ramsey would mix things up a little bit at the start and not always make it guys vs girls but that's about the only complaint I have. There are always tons of big personalities on this show which makes for great entertainment....

awshucks says "Nature's Miracle is a miracle!" about Nature's Miracle Stain & Order Remover

Nature's Miracle is just amazing. We have 3 cats and this stuff works amazing when cleaning up after them. We've been fortunate enough to not have to deal with accidents but we use Nature's Miracle when cleaning up after they throw up. One of the cats in particular tends to leave a wet mess and I'm always afraid it'll stain the light-colored carpeting. I should learn to not worry though because Nature's Miracle has always gotten the potential stains and smells out quickly and easily. I don't know what I would do without it!...
