awgalindo says "family kingdom is great, old fashioned fun!" about Family Kingdom - Myrtle Beach, SC

while many people these days have turned their eyes to the new freestyle music park (ex hard rock park), other, more budget minded people have turned to family kingdom for a cheaper way to entertain their whole family. the location is 10 times better, right on the beach (with ocean views from several of their rides). the price is unbeatable. the other park has outrageous entrance prices, even if you don't plan to ride or visit the attractions. family kingdom ALWAYS has free entry, and you can pay for rides by purchasing individual tickets or all day wrist bands as reasonable prices. (much more convenient when mom and dad don't want to ride, but simply want to watch their children enjoy a few trips on the carousel!) there are tons of children's rides and plenty of more adult rides. they also have an arcade for gamers, a boardwalk for casual strollers, plenty of snacking opportunities, daily entertainment (elvis is a new favorite, and he sings right next to the boulevard twice...
...

awgalindo says "take if from a local, sea captain's house is fantastic!" about Sea Captain's House - Myrtle Beach, SC

this is one of those places in myrtle beach that i recommend to anyone looking for great seafood. all those huge seafood buffet restaurants just don't cut it. when eating out ANYWHERE, you should always look for what the locals are eating, and your tiny little hole-in-the-wall places are usually your best bet. such is the case here. this quaint little restaurant used to actually be a beach house (right on the ocean). the prices are reasonable (for a young married couple who don't always have a lot of money to spend, if you get what i'm saying). the food is delicious (try the crab cakes, you WILL NOT be dissappointed!!!). reservations are recommended, but if you go out to eat anywhere in myrtle beach without a reservation, you're going to wait, no matter WHERE you go, so waiting here would definitely be worth the wait!!!
...

awgalindo says "Awesome FREE weight loss site!" about Sparkpeople.com

SparkPeople is by far one of the best online communities I have ever come across! Perhaps the best notable quality is that it is ABSOLUTELY FREE. You don't have to pay anything! From the very beginning of my membership, I was getting advice on ways to incorporate healthy eating into my lifestyle. They stressed getting plenty of fruits and veggies and drinking 8 cups of water. DAILY. NO MATTER WHAT! There are plenty of tools to log foods eaten and other goals (like getting enough sleep, certain types of exercise, and even spiritual things like reading a Bible chapter or having silent time every day). There are blogs, articles, and news stories to review. There are exercise videos to check out. And perhaps one of the best features is it's social atmosphere of creating your own profile and joining groups. It's a great way to make friends who share the same goals, and we can support each other and cheer each other on! I initially joined it a few months ago to get points...
...

awgalindo says "Coastal Carolina is a great growing university." about Coastal Carolina University

When i first began at Coastal Carolina University, I thought it was rather big, but I came from a rather tiny high school (with less than 400 total in attendance). But after a couple of years at Coastal, I began to notice some changes. The school was growing, and at a pretty alarming rate! I realized how small the university was when I actually started! Parking spaces became scarce. Classes filled up more quickly, and were much larger than they were when I first began. I chose the school because my parents already had a vacation home in nearby Myrtle Beach. Lots of other students chose it because of the fact that it was at the beach. They considered it a party school! I will admit that I knew of many kids with only partying on their brains. I tried to see things from more of an academic prospective. It grew as a result of both. Myrtle Beach was growing, and the school was growing right along with it. Programs were also becoming nationally accreditted, including...
...
