My, at then, insurance company offered a rate that was very high. I researched with a local agent and then signed me up with Progressive. The rate quoted was lower than what Progressive charged for my first 6 months. <br/><br/>Within that 6 months, my car was involved in a minor accident. As I was close to a body shop I was comfortable using, I pulled into their lot. The agent I spoke with tried to convince me that I should let their body shop do the work. I managed to get them to approve the shop I chose. <br/><br/>According to the commercials, they make it easy for you to get your car back from them. This was not the case for me. When I have had insurance work done in the past, I picked the car up at the place where I had left it. This was not the case with Progressive. Their advertising makes it look like they will bring your car to you. This was also not the case.
