At first when you put it on it feels great and just like lotion it absorbes well into the skin but I noticed as the day went by the odor which I thought would disappear during the day - did just the opposite it seemed to get stronger! The smell did get on my clothes as well but luckily it did wash out. i did get the "subtle" tan but that was it-subtle- a good one for winter when one doesnt want to appear to tan- as for the moisturizer it seemed to dry my skin out so I had to use another lotion for my now dry... The ship is one of the larger ships but has the small shipservice with every attention to detail- we had the best time. Everything was perfect from the food to our rooms to the extreme cleanliness of the ship! There was so much to do for everyone including the kids-we went ice skating, laid by the pool played golf (simulated and minature) they had a show every  night that was well worth going to! This trip was so good that as soon as we got back from the second we booked the third one - on the same ship! I highly recommend this cruise line whether on the Mariner or another ship.
