asiroka says "Great heat balance and easy to clean" about Lodge Logic Cast Iron Pan

The Lodge Logic Cast iron pan is my favoritet hing in my kitchen. It is super durable and cdistributes heat very evenly. It has the ability go give things a nice browning without much added fat. This panalso has pouring spouts on the side which help for expelling bacon grease or transferring the contents to a plate etc.

Cast iron's chief strength comes from its massiveness. It is basically a honkin' big hunk of iron formed into a cooking utensil. This large quantity of metal, once heated, will tend to evenly distribute its heat and stay hot no matter what you put into it. Futhermore, once properly conditioned (which Lodge has done for you here), they are almost as non-stick as teflon.

You can run this pan as hot as you dare without hurting it - works great for steaks, and makes an awesome cheese steak. The pre-seasoned coating works as advertised, and the cast iron gives good heat transfer and VERY even heat across the entire pan. I think I'm going to be using this skillet A LOT.

A handy...
...

asiroka says "Great point and shoot has tons of features." about Canon - PowerShot SD800 IS / IXUS 850 IS Digital Camera

The Canon SD800 has a great lens and produced great images, all in an attractive, pocketable, metal body. The 7-megapixel camera's tiny body is shiny, curvy, and very attractive. But it may be just a bit too stylish for its own good. For instance, the power button is a tiny, illuminated half-oval built flush into the top panel; without actually pressing it, you might easily mistake it for an indicator light or a design flaw.

The SD800 also uses the recent Digic III image processor, which Canon claims improves image quality, performance, and battery life.
Beyond those quirks, though, the SD800 IS is a standard, straightforwardly designed Canon shooter, with a four-way navigation switch, additional buttons, and the shutter-release/zoom-rocker mechanism we've grown used to. The small, all-metal body weighs slightly more than six ounces, and at an inch thick, is just the right size for most pockets. Though small, the camera still has enough room on its body to hold both a 2.5-inch LCD and...
...

asiroka says "Lots of fun for everyone- novice to advanced!" about Nintendo Wii Console

When the Ninetnedo Wii first came out people were unsure of what it was and how it would compete with the Playstation 3 which was much more advanced. Now it has become clear that the Wii has won this battle despite its technical shortcomings. The Wii involves using a control (called a wiimote) that senses your movements to control the game. For instance in Wii boxing you actually punch the air in front t of you and the game recognizes this action. It also recognizes the angle you are punching and what type of punch it is (jab, uppercut, hook etc.) The games include many with the Mario cast of characters, such as classics Mario Party, Mario Kart, Super Mario Galaxy etc. as well as many others. The key thing for the wii is that it is easy to learn and enjoy. It is not a system that focuses on complex button manipulations but uses movements you already know to master the games. The graphics can be a bit cartoonish and the wii does not put much emphasis on making things look realistic. But...
...

asiroka says "Great battery life but prone to problems" about Sony Erricson - Z525A Cell Phone

I have gone through 3 Sony Ericson z525a's and although the phone has a great menu system and battery life, I cannot get past its durability issues. I have experienced the same problem both times my phone broke. The people at Sony Ericson call it "The white screen of death". It is pretty much what it sounds like, the screen turns white and you can no longer see anything but this monotone screen. you can still receive calls but you will never know who they are from or be able to make outgoing calls (as well as do things like set an alarm, check your calendar etc.). After speaking to some customer service people they mailed me a new phone because I had owned this one for less than a year. The shipping was free and prepaid for the return of the phone and was done very promptly. This happened to me again about 8 months later. I did not drop the phone or get it wet or anything like that. I believe this has something to do with them willingly replacing it for free.
Basically the phone is a non-smart...
...

asiroka says "Great school in all areas but money is for sports/graduate study" about University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

The University of Michigan is one of the top public universities in the country. It has great programs for all areas of study but especially excels in business and engineering (for undergards). The Wolverine spirit takes over the school especially on Saturdays when there are home football games. The cost can be a bit daunting for out of state students, however, there are many opportunities for grants, scholarships etc. Living on campus usually only lasts one year as the campus is dominated by crappy student housing. Greek life is of medium strength with about 15% of all students participating in a wide variety of fraternities or sororities.
The University is split into 3 main areas: The Hill, Central Campus, and North campus. there are dorms on each with North campus specializing in engineering, music , and some artistic degrees. The city of Ann Arbor has more to it than the university but it has hard to see a clear separation as the city thrives off the finances of the university and its...
...
