ashteru says "A miss" about Hershey - Kissables

I've always assumed that Kissables were Hershey's answer to M&Ms. They are pretty enough to run toe to toe with their predecessor, their bright colors making them a fun snack, and keep the chocolate middle from doing the melt in your hand bit. That pretty candy shell, however, is much too thick for the amount of chocolate it covers. The taste of the candy very much overwhelms the taste of chocolate.
...

ashteru says "Not for grown up taste buds" about Betty Crocker Hamburger Helper

Hamburger Helper is great if you are low on time or money, and is very easy to prepare without putting your life on pause. That said, it just isn't' anything special, as there is never enough flavor to determine which of the varied and sundry flavors available it is even supposed to be.
...

ashteru says "I'm not a mom, but I still know what's best." about Jif Creamy Peanut Butter 28oz

I never had any sandwich but peanut butter in my lunch during elementary school, and my mother never used any peanut butter but Jif. She makes me make my own sandwiches now, but I still used the same creamy Jif that she did.

Jif is bursting with peanut flavor, and just the right texture. All other peanuts better I've seen are either runny with too much oil or waxy and dry from not enough. And the smell? Peanuty heaven.

Peanut butter is the one thing we consistently have in our cupboards, and without fail it will be Jif.
...

ashteru says "Definitely a keeper" about Nabisco - Triscuits:Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil

I've long been a lover of Triscuits, and that love has only increased as Nabisco increases their flavor selection. Upon trying the Cracked Pepper & Oliver Oil, I discovered a new favorite. The taste is addictive on its own, and great with a bit of meat or cheese. And as good as they taste, knowing that Triscuits are good for you is even better. It's lovely to not have to pick health over flavor for a change.
...

ashteru says "Dark chocolate and mint, can't be topped" about Junior Mints

Junior Mints have been a favorite of mine since childhood, as they allow me to satisfy my cravings for chocolate and mint and one go. As I got older, my tastes matured, and I began to prefer dark over milk chocolate, putting Junior Mints higher in my esteem.
They're a great snack for TV or movie viewing, as eating them one at a time making them last longer than a candy bar, and a refreshing reward after work or school. The box is resealable, if you, for some reason, aren't able to finish, which is far better than trying to scrunch down the end of a wrapper, making this a good candy to travel with.
...
