arimoonchild says "I loved Claddagh when it first opened, but it has changed." about Claddagh Irish Pub - Lansing, MI

I want to start by saying that one of my favorite summer activities is sitting on the patio of Claddagh and drinking cider before a movie. The bar is excellent, with a few exceptions, and I have never had a problem with the service. The menu has gone through some changes (finally!), as well as the inside atmosphere (oh no!). I've been driven out by the most obnoxious DJ's ever, and food is still heavy and only minorly more creative than it used to be. Sure, sometimes I love a nice heavy meal. Its comfort food, and it has its place, but the biggest changes are usually just the prices. You'll still find me on the patio this summer, but I think I'll eat dinner at home first.
...

arimoonchild says "The Vibe is an excellent automobile, but not that great in snow." about Pontiac Vibe - 2007

My husband and I decided on a Vibe because we needed the room for camping gear, but I didn't want a huge car. I like the ability to fold down all the seats, giving us plenty of room for furniture, christmas trees, camping gear (not all at once), and any other items I would NEVER have been able to fit in my old Malibu. It drives smoothly and gets great gas mileage. I have three big complaints though. First, the headlights are not very good. They don't cover enough area to see well. Second, strong winds knock the car all over the place. I've learned to compensate, but it is annoying. Third, and most important, is that this car is HORRIBLE in snow. The first winter I had it, if the snow on the road was thick, it would start sliding into a 360 for no reason. I ended up putting two huge bags of cat litter in the back, and that helped. Snow also tends to get really packed in the wheel wells, which may have contributed to the spinning issues. I still love the car, but...
...

arimoonchild says "Gorgeous color and sparkle, use alone or with lipstick!" about Nars Greek Holiday Lip Gloss

I had been considering the Nars 'Greek Holiday' lipgloss since I'd seen it in a magazine, but didn't really think $24 for lip gloss was a good deal. Then I visited NYC over the weekend. I was wandering through Saks when I was stopped at the Nars counter. I tried a few things, but the product that stood out was this lip gloss. It was just so perfect! It only has a neutral, vaguely pink color to it, but loads of glimmer. It worked well alone, and I've tried it with a couple of different lipsticks, and its still fabulous! I was also surprised at how long it lasted. I'm still not crazy about the price, but I was on vacation, so I splurged!
...

arimoonchild says "Best Blush EVER!" about Nars Blush - Orgasm

I love this blush. I'm pretty pale, so color stands out on me quite a bit. Nars Orgasm blush is really the best I've found. It is a very natural pink with a hint of peach, and a lovely shimmer. A little goes a long way, and I've had the same compact for a year, even using it every day! It is rather expensive, but because it lasts, it is worth it!...

arimoonchild says "The only time my husband notices my eyes." about Almay Intense i Color Powder Shadow

I have been using the Almay Intense I color for brown eyes. I'm pale, strawberry-blond and very sensitive. I've had no problems using Almay's eye products. I was worried at first that the colors would be too much for my pale self, but as long as I use a light hand with the dark brown in the crease, I'm good.

I normally wear a pale champagne color on my eyes, but I'll pull out the Almay when I have more time to get ready. I've found that whenever I wear the Almay colors, I get complements on my eyes.

The applicator provided is absolutely useless. I toss it immediately. I used to use the coordinating liner and mascara, but I didn't really care for them.

...

arimoonchild says "The perfect shade of pink for my lips" about Smashbox O-Gloss Intuitive Lip Gloss with Goji Berry-C Complex

O-GLOSS
Intuitive Lip Gloss With Goji Berry-C Complex

Wandering through Sephora (as I tend to do whenever I go near one), I found this gloss from Smashbox. It goes on clear, and then gradually turns pink. I was a bit nervous, as I normally avoid pink lip gloss. Its just so junior high (insert annoying giggle here). I found the concept of body-chemistry adjusting gloss interesting, so I gave it a go. I tried just a little, and really liked the shade of pink it turned. It looked quite natural. So I bought it.

I've done some experimenting and found that if I use too much, I get this horrid hot pink color that looks like I dipped back into my old tube of wet 'n wild. So as long as I remember "less is more" I get a really nice shade that works well for the 'natural' look. The color also lasts a long time. It is almost like a lip stain. Even after the gloss is gone, some pink stays. I like that, as I usually lose all my lip color on my coffee cup.

I wish it...
...

arimoonchild says "It changed the way I eat when camping!" about Coleman Roadtrip Grill LXE 9949-750

My husband and I go camping once a year, for 10 days. Its not true wilderness camping, but we do stay in a tent. We used to spend the week on cold rations, eating out and warming cans of Chef Boyardee in the fire (ick). Last summer we bought the Coleman Roadtrip Grill, since it looked more useful than a standard camp stove, and we could use it at home too. We bought the stove top accessory also, so we could do more than just grill.

It was a dream come true! We were able to cook real meals. All of our friends kept using it too. The propane lasted longer than I expected, and you can buy an attachment to use a big propane tank instead of the little cylinders. Cleanup was pretty easy, though th drip tray got pretty gross. I had trouble seeing when it was lit, as the blue flame is hard to see on a sunny day. It doesn't grill as well as a regular gas grill, or anything like the charcoal I'm used to, but it was far superior to hot dogs on a stick over a fire. We...
...

arimoonchild says "Loved cleanser and moisturizer, but exfoliating gel too harsh! " about Murad Acne Complex Starter Kit

I have really sensitive skin, and have issues with adult acne. I bought the Murad acne kit hoping to find something that would work with both of my issues. Most products are good for one or the other, but not both. I really like the cleanser. It makes my skin tingle and feel refreshed, and it isn't harsh. The exfolliating treatment gel was another story. I only used it once a day, as I knew there would be some irritation. It cleared up my acne very well. Unfortunately, the second morning after using it, I woke to find my face swollen and red! I had to discontinue use. The spot treatment didn't bother me as much, though I did notice some pinkness. The moisturizer was fantastic. It really had the perfect amount of moisture. It didn't leave me feeling oily, or too dry. I actually wrote the company about my reaction to the treatment gel, and they sent me samples of a moisturizing acne treatment gel, and while it isn't as effective as the exfolliating gel, it...
...
