I purchased this Hotpoint microwave oven over 28 years ago, and the darn thing just won't quit. Well, actually, about 4 years ago it did stop working. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, so I just hit it with a rubber hammer and it started working like new again. It is time to remodel this old kitchen, and I will hate to have to update the microwave, but I am sure that I will get another Hotpoint Microwave oven. If you are in the market for a new microwave oven, I truly and honestly think that you should consider a Hotpoint Microwave Oven. The life span of mine will probably never really be known. I am sure that I could get several more years of use out of it, if I wasn't planning to remodel my kitchen. I will probably use all Hotpoint appliances. After 28 year, Hotpoint has probably improved on their microwaves. In that case, you can't go wrong with Hotpoint. I hope that this review has been helpful. Good luck and happy cooking.
