apostlepd says "For professional video editing, this is the bomb!" about Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 Full Version for PC (25520528)

I have this installed on my 64-bit Vista system running a 2.7 Ghz Quad Core with 8 GB of ram and a 8800GT Nvidia Graphics Card.

The program is amazing. It has every customization option a video editor could ask for. While it is difficult to learn at first, once you get the hang of it and figure out what all the tools do, you're going to love it.

You can export in any format imaginable and it has bluray capability. I have yet to export and burn a bluray, but I will soon. Working with Adobe Encore, which comes with Premiere, makes DVD menu authoring an easy and fun task.

Premiere can export your movies in mobile formats, youtube, flash, windows media, quicktime, and on and on...You can't go wrong with this program.

The only disadvantage is the load time for projects that are over 30 GB. We typically have at least 30 GB of video in a project and even on our system it takes upwards of 4-5 minutes to start the project. So be ready...

...

apostlepd says "I love VISTA! It is amazing." about Microsoft Windows Vista

While some people have problems with Vista, my system runs Vista like it's no big deal. Of course, I do have a quad-core processor and 8 GB of ram, but who's counting?

I love the interface and the new styles that have been encorporated into Vista. The user friendly nature of it is easy to learn and use. I have the 64-bit version and it has not had any problems with program compatibility. Every 32-bit software that I load on it works great. The only thing that didn't load was an anti-virus program, but when they released the 64-bit version, it worked great.

Vista is not prone to crashing like some people say. I totally disagree with all of the Apple commercials that are bashing Vista. It is a great operating system and handles my video editing and graphics editing very easily. It handles my workload with office 2007 very fast and I have not had any problems with it whatsoever.

I highly recommend Vista to anybody. Don't be afraid. It's hard getting used to something new, but you will get......

apostlepd says "Amazing brightness and contrast ratio!" about Panasonic Multimedia Projector PT-AX100U-EC

I own this model and the 900U and I am very impressed with Panasonic's products. I have the 900U at home and this one in my youth group buliding at church. The brightness is amazing on this model at 2000 lumens. We have tons of windows in our buliding and even in the middle of the day, the picture looks great. The HD quality, even though it is 720p, is outstanding. Anybody would be impressed at a 106" picture that looks this good. (I just have mine set up at 106", you can go as big as 150" and still have great picture quality)

I highly recommend this and all Panasonic projectors. I will continue to buy Panasonic products when I replace these units. Bulb life is great, too. 3000 hours....

apostlepd says "The PS3 is the best video game system out there!" about Playstation 3 - 60GB

I got my PS3 as a bluray player and boy is it the best bluray player ever. Just as a comparison, my friend paid the same amount for his Sony Bluray player ($400) as I paid for my PS3. But due to the hardware differences (the PS3 is basically a supercomputer) the load time is drastically different. Using the same Cars Bluray, it took 90 seconds to load and display the menu on his player. It took 10 seconds to load on the PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, it's also an amazing gaming system too, if you're into that kind of thing.
...

apostlepd says "Simply the best thing I've ever seen!" about Apple - iPhone (8 GB) Cell Phone

Simply one of the greatest inventions of our decade. This phone does it all. The GPS interface is great. The APP STORE ROCKS. It has iTunes and an iPod build in (duh). The email functionality is great. The touch screen and keyboard work very well. I love the text messaging interface where you can see your conversation as long as you don't clear it. Viewing WORD and EXCEL document and photo email attachments is so fast and easy. You can use it as an external wireless hard drive (with an app). You can pretty much do anything you can think of on this phone. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!...
