anya says "Baker College Online Fits Your Schedule" about Baker College Online - BBA

Baker College Online is an college that offers courses and degrees online. You can complete the courses from anywhere where there is internet access. You can have your required books shipped to your address and you log in the Blackboard to access your courses and communicate with the professor and fellow classmates. Each course is broken into Seminars - each seminar represents one week in class. You have assignments for each seminar and you must post/interact with your classmates a minimum of five days a week in order to receive participation credit. Baker College Online really fits my schedule because I don't have to make time to drive to school and sit in class for hours a day. I can log on in the middle of the night if I want and post my assignments or post a commentary to others. The professors are professional and have work experience in their field. They respond to email usually within 12 hrs. and are very helpful. I recommend Baker College to others, especially professionals that......

anya says "Threatrical Version Not As Good As Stage Play" about Why Did I Get Married?

Tyler Perry has done it again. The theatrical version of Why Did I Get Married scored points, but not big points. I thought Jill Scott's character was a little depressing and needy which explains why she married the man she did. Also, Jill Scott acting could use more work because I felt the part was too big for her. Janet Jackson's Perfect Patty character was annoying but I wasn't sure if that's what Tyler was shooting for. Tyler's character in the movie was a little too forgiving of his wife. The most homest couple in my opinion was the couple that argued. Their acting was good, their problems were real, and their characters had more life and didn't appear as wooden and staged as the others. I recommend this movie to others, but if you really want to see a good version of WDIGM, rent the theatrical version. It doesn't have Tyler Perry in it, but it's still a great play. ...

anya says "Where the pets go" about PETCO

I am a dog owner and I frequent Petco about once a month for my pet supplies or grooming. Petco is a fun place to visit. The store has good, bright lighting and the staff seems knowledgable and helpful. The on-site grooming is always a plus and reasonably priced. I also like their treat bars although it is a little bit expensive than regular bulk pet treats. On Saturdays, they sponsor adoptions where you can view and interact with various dogs and cats that need new homes. I recommend Petco to others if you're looking for a reasonably priced pet store or groomer....

anya says "Home Plus Is Us (and us and us)" about Big Love

I just finished watching season 2 of Big Love. I must say that I didn't think it was as good as the first season. The character development is better in season two and we get to understand some of the thought process and feelings of the wives. On one hand, the family feels the need to hide their "religion" yet on the other hand, they can't stop telling everyone around them about their lifestyle. I think the concerns of the first wife was excellently presented. The viewer needed to know more about how the wives felt about jealously, secrecy, and the need for acceptance. Even though I didn't like this season more, I'm still looking forward to the next season....

anya says "Great for 1st time cruisers - not great for experienced cruisers" about Carnival Cruise Lines - Sensation

I cruised on the Sensation Aug. 2007 with my mom - her first and my second cruise. I knew what to expect and I was completely let down. The ship is old, worn-out, and dark inside. I didn't like not having my cabin available until just before take-off and the safety class. By that point, we had been on the ship for hours and after a morning of travel on a hot day, I really needed my cabin to change and rest. Also, being moved to a different dining room all-together in the middle of dinner so friends and family could sit together made me feel like a third class citizen. As a past-guest of Carnival, I expected a little more than "sorry" and a free bottle of water. I promptly removed their tips from my bill because I was very upset and inconvenienced. The shows are ok, the games were ok, the food was ok - everything on the ship was mediocre and nothing stood out except for high prices of the photos. I did enjoy the casino, the dancing and the sushi bar. The ship is fancy nor is the service......

anya says "Good not great" about Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village - Orlando, FL

I stayed at this hotel twice during my Orlando trips - the last time was for five days. I like the location of the hotel, the surroundings including the food court and the gated access. I like the rooms because I can have a balcony room overlooking the pool area which is very soothing to me. I don't like being nickled and dimed for things like internet access and their expensive breakfast buffet. I also don't like their limited hotel dining option but since there are other restaurants reasonably priced in short distance, I can live with it. This hotel has become very popular within the last few years because my rates seems to increase every year unfortunately. With the location being just 5 minutes from downtown Disney, I expect they will probably increase even more. I would recommend this hotel to others as long as you don't mind paying for internet access and eating outside of the hotel....

anya says "I thought I was going to die" about AirTran

I flew Airtran from Orlando to Detroit with a plane change in Atlanta. The entire experience from booking to the flight home was terrible and I will NEVER fly Airtran again. I booked the flight in March for travel in August for my mother and I. They changed our itinerary 3 times via email until I telephoned them not to change our itinerary again and if they did, I would cancel our flight. Flight day came and I knew the experience was going to be horrible. The staff is rude and unprofessional, the planes are narrow and cramped, and the pilots were young and they flew the plane as if it was a sports car. I have never been on a plane and felt like I was on a roller coaster. The dives, sharp turns, excessive changes in speed - I could feel the pilot speed up and slow down and it was scary. I honestly didn't think we were going to make it safely into Detroit and I felt very sick. After complaining to management, they offered me half off my next flight but I seriously doubt I will take it.......

anya says "Technical Difficulties" about Blockbuster Online

I used to love Blockbuster until about 9 months or so ago. Blockbuster website was easy to use, simple, and straightforward. Then they redesigned the website and it became slow, glitchy, and horrible. I've experienced everything from my queue being locked even though it wasn't maxed out and not being able to add, remove or change the order of movies in my queue - this was AFTER it finally loaded. In the beginning, I loved the fact that I could return my online movies in the store for a new release. Until I noticed that I spent A LOT of time in the stores, nearly every other day and most of the time the movies I wanted were either checked out or the just don't have in stock. Blockbuster doesn't carry older movies in their stores, the new releases are never in stock and the website skips the older movies and new releases in your queue. Most of the time, I found myself having to delete a movie from my queue after 6-9 months of waiting for it to ship. If a movie can't be shipped to be received......

anya says "Loving It" about Netflix

I joined Netflix out of frustration with Blockbuster. The point of my having a mail order movie rental subscription was so I didn't have to burn gas and time going to the neighborhood rental store every other day. I like it that I can log on my computer, put movies in my queue, have them sent to me in the mail by the order of my queue. I haven't had any movies come out of order yet so far within the last 3 months. The only negative I've experienced is a little throttling sometimes when I watch more than 4 movies a week. Netflix will then spend an extra day processing my returned movies. When that happens, I usually watch an on-demand movie on the website. The only drawback to the on-demand instant movies is that they don't always have new releases - usually a lot of the older movies and just only 6,000 or so movies to choose from. All in all, I am very pleased with my subscription with Netflix and I recommend them to others - especially those that don't have the time to drive to a......
