annpala says "Hard to fit large bowls and pots in bottom rack" about Kenmore Energy Star Elite Dishwasher 13153

I bought a suite of Kenmore Elite appliances at the end of 2007 and installed them in 2008. Although they are all very attractive and work OK, some of the features of this dishwasher are not working out for me. The bottom dishwasher rack has lots of upright closely spaced pins so soup and salad bowls do not stand upright and flop over each other. Also, it is difficult to wash a pot and serving bowls at the same time because there is only one section where the pins fold down. I have to constantly unload and reload items to get them to fit. Also, my dishes do not come out very clean even though I use a name brand dishwashing pillow packet. In fact, sometimes the packet does falls into the bottom of the dishwasher and does not dissolve and I have to rewash the load. Considering that I paid over $1100 for this machine, my old $300 Maytag does a better job and is easier to load. Also, the handle is beginning to loosen and a technician that came to fix my stove said the handle will...
...

annpala says "Honest auto mechanic with reasonable prices and good service" about Sadowski Shell - Lyndhurst, NJ

My boyfriend and I have used Sadowski Shell for auto repairs many times. They give reasonable estimates and will call you if there is any problem and to get authorization for anything that will bring you over the original estimate. They have never tried to soak me for unnecessary work and in fact were very honest about what repairs could be deferred to save money. Recently I pulled up in the middle of the afternoon to make an appointment to have my slow-leaking tire repaired. Tom checked the tire and in less than 10 minutes had someone replace a bad plug. Sadowski is AAA recommended too.
...

annpala says "Great looking refrigerator" about Kenmore Elite Counter Depth 44423 (23 cu ft) Refrigerator

I like the looks of my Kenmore Elite stainless steel side-by-side 23 cf refrigerator with in-door icemaker. It holds much more than my old 15 cf and is easier to find things, especially with the pull out glass shelves. No more science experiments lurking in the back.

The electronic features show that the temperature remains constant and there is no guessing where to set the dial. I like that you can set the crisper drawers for fruits or meat. When set to meat, the meat stays very cold, almost frozen. The veggies have stayed pretty good in the temperature controlled drawer too. I also like the 3 pull out baskets in the freezer.

I don't understand the tilt out feature in the fridge door which keeps fruit and veggies handy but I would have preferred another door shelf to hold condiments and keep the produce in the crisper. The bottom door shelf is useless as it is too slim to hold anything. In the freezer, the door storage is very limited and the placement of the light bulb interferes with...
...

annpala says "Some Customer Svc Reps aren't very customer-service oriented " about Comcast - Cable Company

First a monthly charge appeared on my bill as service insurance so I called to cancel it. A few days later I called to complain my internet service was very slow so the customer service rep said he could tell my inside wires were not connected properly (all of a sudden?) and immediately dispatched someone to "fix them." The tech showed up and said the wires were fine but couldn't figure out why the service was so slow and left. The next month my bill had a $30 one-time charge for service. I called and complained that I was duped and the rep said she would remove the charge. The following month my bill had another charge for $30 instead of a credit. I called today and the rep said she would remove the charge. I said two charges had to come off and she couldn't understand why it should be two. After several times being put on hold she said she could only remove one charge. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was left on hold for 30 minutes. Then another person who was listening in (but...
...

annpala says "Good food, Good Value, Nice atmosphere" about RailRoad Cafe - East Rutherford, NJ

I live near the Railroad Cafe and we dine there several times a year. The food is always good and there is quite a variety of items to choose from. There are specials every night and almost everything I've ever tried has been a winner (with the exception of the Ostrich burger). Their house salad is the best and filled with lots of chopped veggies. Steaks are always tender and delicious. The entree salads are huge and always fresh. There is plenty of parking and the outdoor deck in nice weather makes for a very pleasurable dining experience. Live music on weekends too. ...
