annick1960 says "Great Movie for kids as well as adults" about Alvin and the Chipmunks

At first, when my kids wanted to go see the movie at the theater, I was not really enthusiastic but went to make them happy. I was happy I went. This movie is a funny movie for kids as well as for adults. We've watched it on DVD at least 5 fives ever since it came out. Great family movie......

annick1960 says "poor customer service" about Home Depot - New Albany, IN

It seems to me that over the years Home Depot has been getting worse and worse. I remember inth 1980's they were great. You could acually find employees who could help you. Now, you have to wait forever to find help and when you finally get someone to help you, they are not even knowledgeable enough. Home depot sucks!...

annick1960 says "Great Victorian Mystery Book" about Cater Street Hangman

My friend introduced me to Anne Perry's books. I was so glad she did. So far, I have read all the books in the "Thomas and Charlotte Pitt" series and also all the "Monk" series. Some books are better than other but overall all of them are good. Those two series take place in Victorian England. Anne Perry has the gift of making you feel like you're in Victorian England, with all its wealth, poverty, and social injustices. Her books are well written and I for one, can't keep her books down. Her stories are mysteries involving policemen in the late 1800's. Most of her books have been best-sellers....

annick1960 says "Best Chinese food ever" about Kowloon Kitchen Take Out - San Jose, CA

This is a take-out place only but worth taking it home instead of eating it there. Best Chinese food I ever had. Fast service, fresh food prepared while you wait. Friendly service. If you live in the area, you have to try it. We lived in San Jose and this was the place for us to eat Chinese food. Since we moved we haven't been able to find anything that comes close to Kowloon Kitchen....

annick1960 says "Not worth the money" about Space Bag

Those space bags... what a joke! You pay a lot of money for something that does not work any better than a regular storage bag. Oh, yes, they deflate and reduce the space needed to store them.... for a while. But soon you will find out that the air got back into those bags and they are nothing more than storage bags. Why pay so much money for something that does not work? I will definitely not buy anymore of those. In fact, I threw them in the trash....

annick1960 says "Closest to real Italian food I ever found in the states" about Vito's Italian Restaurant - Turlock, CA

Coming from Europe, I have a pretty good idea what Italian food should be like. When I first arrived in the States, I was so disappointed to find out that American (even so called Italian pizza) was not at all like the pizza we find in Europe. After many years of searching, I finally found the place where you can eat real Italian food. Vito's opened a few years ago in Turlock, Ca. and the atmostphere is very nice, with murals that remind you of Italy. The service is great. Their pizza is baked in brick ovens and there is not too much cheese. A real delight. And their bread!!!!!!!!!! If you ever go to Turlock, give Vito's a try, you won't be disappointed....

annick1960 says "not that bad! 2 of my fish are still alive after almost a year" about Walmart Any Fish

I too bought fish from Walmart, about a year ago. Actually, I bought a total of 3. One of them did not last very long, but the other two are still alive and well. I think it does not really matter where you buy your fish, as long as you do what you're supposed to do to keep them alive. Fish are fragile and I guess that wherever you buy them, there is a chance of them dying after they get home: change in environment, etc.......

annick1960 says "Only one that works for me" about Flonase Nasal Spray

I have been suffering from allergies for the past 15 years or so. At first, my doctor prescribed Claritin D, but it kept me awake at night, then I was on Beconase for a few years, but I did not really like it because it stung my nose everytime I took it. It did not work that great either. Finally about 8 years ago, after I moved to the California Central Valley and my allergies got worse, my doctor prescribed Flonase. What a relief. I take Flonase all year long and it works great for me. No runny nose, sore throat, sneezing, watery eyes for me anymore. And there are no side effects, no pleasant taste, no medicine dripping in your throat, no stingin in your nose.

When allergies get worse (in spring and fall) I also take plain Claritin that my doctor prescribes and I am mostly allergy symptoms-free... I have also tried Allegra, but to me it was like taking a sugar pill. It had absolutely no effect on my allergies.
...
