am1375 says "best for longer trips" about Jet Blue Airways

I fly all the time for work and for pleasure. I started using JetBlue a few years ago for my cross-continental trips and fell in love. The snacks are great, the planes are comfortable, and hey, you can watch TV! Then I decided to use them for shorter trips...between NYC and Chicago. Awful, awful! They book their flights so close together that they can rarely make the turnaround. Every time i've flown them on this route, there has been a delay of at least 1.5 hours. I think they just have unrealistic expectations of everything working competely as planned. If one minor detail is affected, their whole schedule falls apart. Use them for long haul, but not for...

am1375 says "Can't live without my Lappy!" about MacBook - Apple MacBook Pro

After 3 years with a g-4 powerbook, it was time to upgrade. I can't tell you how impressed I am with the improvements Apply has made on their laptops in the last few years. First of all, it was worth it to switch from the 12" to the 15". I wanted the 12 because I am on the road so frequently, I though it would make it easier on a plane. However, the current aspect ratio means that the screen is wider, not taller. This makes it easier to multitask! The new power cords are mag-safe, so you don't have to worry about tripping over it. I had definitely bent my last power cord, and it's nice to know i don't have to worry about that anymore. Also, the track pad is very sophisticated. You can set it so that you have two fingers on the pad and click, it is the equivalent to a right-click. Much easier than holding control as you used to. Similary, you can scroll up/down and left/right through a document using two fingers to steer, more like the new iphone. No more scrollbars for...

am1375 says "Get rid of microsoft" about Apple iWork 2008 Full Version for Mac (MA790Z/A)

I just bought my second mac - a new MacBook Pro, and decided to try the new iwork suite. I already have office so can easily switch back and forth. However, I find that just like the Apple programs better. The navigation is simpler, and the shortcut keys are almost always identical, so no relearning. The Pages program has SIGNIFICANTLY better functions with graphics and tables. If you need to make data dislays, it is so, so simple. It looks great. So far I've had no trouble passing files back and forth with microsoft users, as long as you export to word before you send. It holds format, and even track changes! Totally recommended. Haven't used numbers and keynote as much...

am1375 says "Ahhh...to be dry again" about Certain Dri Antiperspirant Roll On for Excessive Perspiration

Honestly, I'm a huge sweater. It's a problem, and I'm constantly trying to hide it with black shirts or something. I saw this product and decided to give it a try. I'm very happy with the results so far. I've been using it about a week, and while I'm not 100% sweat-free under my arms, it is a significant reduction. I have every reason to believe that if I continue to use it, it will improve. Definitely follow the directions in the box - don't apply after a shower or first thing in the morning. Swipe a little bit under each arm in the evening, and let it dry completely without touching fabric or your bed or anything. I still use a deodorant in the morning to help me through the day, but there is real...

am1375 says "Tidying Up Shop" about Norelco BodyGroom

I bought the Norelco BodyGroom mainly because I thought their promotional website was hilarious. If you haven't visited www.shaveeverywhere.com, please do. Anyway, it is very reasonably priced, and very effective. I don't use it on a very regular basis, but maybe once a month or so. I find that it is best when used dry, before a shower. After the shower, apply moisturizer to the newly trimmed areas and all should be fine. It provides a very nice, even look, so you don't look crazily groomed, but everything is just a little neater....
