alexssmommy says "Keeps Me Warm....Sometimes Too Warm! " about Patton 1500 Watt Utility heater

I use the Patton 1500 Watt Utility Heater under my desk at work. I did not have much decision on what to purchase so I could not be very picky. In essence this space heater does the trick and keeps me warm. However, the temperature guage is not very accurate. At times, at the same setting it will be too cold, other times it will be too warm. In addition, I have to prop the heater up in order to keep my body warm. The heater in itself does not heat the space....if it sits normally, all I get are very hot feet. With the heater propped up, it should have an automatic shut off feature to prevent fires. Sometimes this feature triggers but I only have to give the heater a slight kick and it comes back on. That does not seem that safe to me. Through out the day I have to adjust the temperature back and forth continuously looking for a comfortable heat. Probably the biggest problem is that it does not heat the area, so depending on the angle, I have a really warm thigh and a really cold ankle etc....
...

alexssmommy says "My Pink Power Pak Gets Me Where I Need to Be! " about Garmin - Nuvi 660

The Garmin Nuvi has made me a proud owner. As of a year ago this Mother's Day, I had never owned a GPS nor used one. However, after a move to an unfamiliar city and a child, a GPS became rather necessary. So for a gift last year, I was awarded with my own personal PINK Garmin Nuvi. Now probably my favorite and most shallow feature of this GPS is the color. I immediately felt special because even still, a year later, I have not seen a pink GPS. I like to stick out from the crowd and this has allowed me to do so. Now of course, shallow characteristics only go so far if the product is not worth it. However, the Nuvi is worth it and then some. It is on time, every time. If I am traveling a long distance with a variance of speed limits, my ETA is always accurate within minutes. Whereas my fiance's TomTom is always off by sometimes 40 minutes! The POI atttributes are very useful as well. Even the attachment to my window is great except for it loosens up in the heat.
...

alexssmommy says "PH Balanced for a Man but This Girl Loves It!" about Gillette Fusion Razor

I purchased the Gillette Fusion razor at a recent sale. Despite being a female, I chose this male razor because the price could not be beat. I was not disappointed. The razor has five blades and a soothing strip. The five blades cut even the most intense areas. I have been using the same razor for the last two months. For every other girl out there, no razor lasts that long! We are just too high maintenance. However, this one has stood up to the test. For only 6 dollars on sale, I still have a spare cartridge left to use when I finally throw this one away. I do not tend to use shave cream and almost always am cursed with razor burn or cuts. However, with the Fusion, i have yet to have that problem. And I do shave in the most sensitive of parts. Whereas the look of the razor does not speak to my girly desires, can you really blame it, since in truth it is a man's razor. When will it be our turn?
...

alexssmommy says "Lots of Ooomph and Shine. " about Bed Head Self Absorbed Shampoo

Bed Head's Self Absorbed Shampoo has made me very happy. As a first time, hair dyer, I purchased this product to protect the chemical treatment while still giving me the volume and body that my thin hair needs. This shampoo did not disappoint. Since using it, I have good hair days every day. My hair is shiny and even though I recently put chemicals in it, it looks just as healthy and natural as before. I have great volume in my hair. Whereas before I would hair dry my hair, then use a straightening iron, then a curling iron, and then a styling gel, etc. Now most times I only blow dry my hair and my hair looks so good, I do not need any other steps. Since the only thing that I have changed is my shampoo, I credit it for the transformation. The only negative about the shampoo is the consistency of the shampoo itself. It is almost like a gel and not something I am used to. When you apply it, you really have to work to get it into a good lather. That can sometimes be a pain when you are in...
...

alexssmommy says "Creativity, Imagination and Comfort All In One. " about Ikea Kura Reversible Bed

The Kura Reversible Bed was a great purchase. I purchased it for my toddler son as his first "big boy" bed. As all Ikea furniture, the bed was a sinch to put together and the final piece is gorgeous and well constructed. At a small $ the value is well worth it. My son loves the cubby hole at the bottom of the bed and often times I find him hiding out below. the bed is reversible, meaning it could have a low bed or a loft bed. It is perfect for a child this age because he can have the low bed but still have a canopy like situation. For example, I woke him up this morning to see that he has strung all of his bedding over the canopy portion of the bed to create a tent. In addition, when he gets over, we will flip the furniture over and he can have a loft bed that all young boys love. What is even better is that once the loft bed is on top, there is room at the bottom of the bed to put a mattress for play underneath or even an overnight guest. I have had this bed for three months and now my...
...
