akaivyleaf says "Not enough heat" about DeLonghi Safeheat Compact Ceramic

This just wasn't what I expected. I don't know whether to blame the device and take it back, or blame the high ceilings in my house. I do know that I've set the thermometer on the device to high and it can stay on continuously and never reach the high temperature.

I like the remote control feature, I don't have to put my feet on the cold floor to turn it off in the middle of the night.

It doesn't radiate heat for a long distance, you can stand inches in front of it and not feel heat. Wonder if my device is defective?
...

akaivyleaf says "A Geocaching Must Have" about Garmin - eTrex Legend HCx GPS

I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Garmin eTrex Legend HCx. I upgraded from the Legend to this device. It serves my purposes well for Geocaching every day (hopefully). The battery life is great, I've had to replace batteries about once a month since purchase. The ease in connectivity with my computer really has impressed me the most. I would recommend this device for any geocacher, from novice to advanced....

akaivyleaf says "a lifesaver, for a serious at home baker or chef." about KitchenAid Stand Mixer - Classic Plus

I put off buying my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer for many years because I believed it to be cost prohibitive. But once I went ahead and made the committment to buy it, I've not been disappointed. The mixing bowl holds all of the ingredients at once and the variable speed of mixing allows you to slowly add liquid to dry ingredients and assure an event mix. I like the various attachments that are available, as well as the variety of color choices to match any decor. You will not be disappointed with your investment in this mixer. I fully intend to pass my down a generation or two....
