airysmom says "Shipping is a big rip off" about Pampers Gifts to Grow Program

This program seemed really great whenI first saw it. They had some cool lego toys that I wanted to order and my points accumulated fast. To bad they didn't mention that the shipping on these items was sky high. I wanted to order a little lego things that would be about six dollars in the store. The shipping was 5.60 Why did I save all those points just to save 40 cents? Later they had some really cool looking Mellisa and Doug Toys but again shipping was ridiculous. 8-10 dollars for products that cost 8-12 dollars. I heard that shipping for the trike was not so bad so I thought I'd go to ebay to get enough extra points to get the trike but the points were going for top dollar, very expensive.

Some other bad things about the program are that you can't find out how much shipping it till you have enough points for the item. You also can't transfer your points. While I understand that this helps them to lower the redemption rate it's very annoying.
...

airysmom says "Nice for traveling and when baby can't sit up by thmeselves" about Bumbo Baby Seat

While the Bumbo is certainly not the most needed baby item I found it to be very helpful for several reasons.

One is it's great for that stage where baby can't sit up yet by themselves but wants to see what going on. When they get done with Tummy time sometimes they like to be able to look around.

Another is that it's very easily portable. True she can sit and see stuff in the bouncy seat or swing as well but it's much harder to toss them in the car to go to Grandma' house.

Versus playing on the floor being in the Bumbo leaves her hands free to pick up things of the floor and play with them.

Some problems with it is that her legs can get stuck. Baby girl has chunky thighs and sometime I have to pick her up and then pull the bumbo off her.

Also at six months she can get out of it by herself. Not sure how since both times she did she did while I wasn't looking (sneaky kid) but she did.

One other problem with the bumbo is that if she poops while in it the poop goes everywhere! Up her......

airysmom says "Not the best nursing pillow great for sitting on & propping baby" about The Boppy Company Bare Naked Pillow

If I could do over I would not have bought this for a nursing pillow. It was big and bulky and most importantly offered no back support like My Breat Friend does. After using the boppy a bit I was really sorry I hadn't bought a pillow with back support.

That said it does have it's uses. I used two in the hospital, one for feeding and one for sitting on! It made sitting up much more comfortable post partum. It was also great for propping up baby and letting baby sleep on (only while watching them!).

A peice of advice though buy used, these are way over priced for a shaped pillow. I had three and a cover and only paid fifteen dollars total.
...

airysmom says "Great diapers, great price, Leaks poop less than others" about Pampers Swaddlers

Pros and Cons of Pampers

Pros

If you use coupons they are the cheapeest brand, frequently cheaper than store brands

Never leak urine

Last all night

Swaddlers are soft and nice for little babies

Adjustable for a wide ranges of fits

Cons

Leak poop out the back, as do all disposable diapers

My baby was a skinny newborn and is now a very chunky six month old and pampers continues to fit well. Much better than Luv's whichleak urine all the time and Huggies which leak poop out the sides and back. Although Playskool Brand was nearly as good they were much more expensive. Aside from Playskool I've been sorry everytime I've tried another brand. Besides which I've never had to pay more than 5 dollars for a forty pack of pampers which is much cheaper than most diapers.

I do wish the swadlers went up to higher sizes. The next size up is not as nice and tends to leak the abosorbant stuff. I've been trying to keep my baby in the swaddlers as long as possible for this reason.

They also have pampers points which......

airysmom says "Pretty good flexible swing, but not perfect." about Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

We bought this swing secondhand, in great condition. Our baby girl loves it. She loves to watch the birds flutter up and down and it's great for getting her to sleep when nothing else will.
The nuetral colors of this swing make it great to fit a variety of Decor. One problem with thi swong is though it was advertise as having six speeds it really only has six clicks on the dial, they all go the same speed. When she was a newborn it swung very very fast. I later found out they suggest draping a blanket from the bottom to slow down the swing when it has a newborn in it.

We really liked that this swing could swing both side to side and front to back. However we never found that we actually used the front to back. It didn't seem as safe.

I iwsh this swing had the option to plug it into the wall. Fortunalty we invested in a quality battery charger and rechargable D batteries. Even at 100 dollars for charger and batteries it has more than paid itself off in savings on batteries.

The six music...
...
