Joss Whedon is a genious and it really shows in this wonderful show. There are no aliens, no unchartered worlds, just great characters and great stories. Joss Whedon creates a universe in the future that is familiar to all of us because of it is heaped with references to our past. The world as we know it, is no more. Humans have traveled far out into space and started new worlds on new planets. The even teraformed the planets to be more like earth as we once knew it. Some planets took to the teraforming, some did not. This is the story of a stragely group of people who come together by odd circumstances. They may not always get along but somehow they become a family of sorts. And the series is about many of their adventures. It was cut too short by being cancelled prematurely by FOX. They don't know a good series when they see one. Luckily Whedon didn't quit and he found a way to get more of their story to the public in... It told an exciting story and it did it with great graphic and visual effects. While not historically accurate, it still brought a bit of history into the lives of those that watched it. My son is a history buff and he was very excited to see this movie. He is often disappointed when movies do not stick to actual historical facts, but it did not bother him at all in this movie. I actually went along begrudgingly because I was not interested in seeing the movie. I came out a real fan though. I would not take small children to see 300 because it is a rather gory movie. There is a lot of unnecessary blood and guts. I still give the movie 5 stars though. Action fans will love... We bought it for our anniversary. We love watching movies together and this tv seemed great for that. It has a great sleep timer feature that we often use. The picture is very nice and the sound is great. We actually found a piece of hanging hardware and hung it on the wall in our bedroom. It worked great. I would definitely recommend this tv, especially for the price. We got a very good deal on it.... It fits nicely into my pocket. The texting is easy and it is generally easy to use. The battery does run low rather quickly. The only major thing I didn't like about it is that the screen easliy smudges. I have very dry skin and when I would talk on the phone, what little oil was in my skin would come off on the screen. And it didn't clean off very... I use it daily for work and I sometimes have it on all day into the wee hours of the night. It just "keeps on ticking". It came with decent software and the only real issue I have with it is that it had Vista installed. I am not thrilled with Vista but the computer, its speed and its versatility make up for it in the end. I would highly recommend this...
