a26c331 says "It's just Ok" about Shark Carpet Sweeper

I don't know if this is the one I have. It was purchased by my father off an infommercial on tv and he rec'd 2 for the price of 1 so he gave me one. I guess it's ok. — We have mostly wood floors and for whatever reason it appears that we have ALOT of dirt, I was hoping this would take the place of my electric sweeper since it is more manueverable and quiet. The problem is, it just doesn't do a good job. It will pick up some of the dirt but I can watch it just kind of spin the dust bunnies around and throw them on the floor. I have to empty it alot since it doesn't hold alot of stuff. The upside of this is that it's easy to empty---has a "hands-free" mechanism that work pretty well. I will use it under the highchair after my daughter has had her cheerio feast and it will not pick up the cheerios??!!!! — I think that for the money, this is not worth it. —...

a26c331 says "Not cheap but works" about Playtex Diaper Genie Pail

I received 2 diaper pails for my shower...this one and the Diaper Champ. I used this one first and I liked it and at first, didn't mind buying the refills. It kept the odor out real well and made nice little diaper sausages of all the dirties. However, I ran out of refills and decided to pull out the diaper champ and put it into action. I now use that one. It is easier to use and can use regular bags --not some special refill kit. The diaper genie didn't always work and you would end up with a big pouch of diapers...yuck! So I still have this but haven't forked over the $6 for the refill kit. I just can't justify...

Ok I have used original Simple Green and have no complaints. However, the "apple fresh" scent is by far the worst I have ever smelled. I can't even say whether this product works because I can't get past the disgusting smell. It really really stinks of all the bad odors you can think of... I had to throw it out. I can't bear it. I rewashed everything with the windex and all was better....

a26c331 says "The only one I can find with fluoride" about ACT Restoring Mouthwash -- Cool Splash Mint

This was recommended by my dentist for my husband as his teeth aren't very um, nice. It is very fresh and not too "hot". It is easy to dispense with the squeezey top, and it has fluoride. In my grocery store it was the only one of 4 huge shelves of mouthwash that contains fluoride. It is by far the best out there in my opinion and we use it frequently. AND sometimes it is in Big Lots for like half the price!...

a26c331 says "It works." about Weight Watchers

This is the best way to lose weight in my opinion. You can make it a lifestyle change and keep the weight off forever. It is not a quick fix though. People who need ot lose weight have to realize---weight goes on gradually; it comes off gradually. To do it right, you have to reduce the amount you take in and increase the amount you burn. Very simple premise that many of us (including myself) have a hard time following. WW gives you a formula to help you figure out how much to eat without restricting what you eat. I am all about numbers and this is right up my alley. They offer different approaches depending on your weight loss style. I prefered the point tracking system and I found it fun to find low and zero point options. It is very important that you attend meetings though. I know I know, who wants to sit around in a meeting for 45 minutes talking about weight loss. Trust me, it helps. You get good ideas, you are able to talk about your issues, and the comraderie is very important....

a26c331 says "I always know what to expect" about AirTran

We travel Airtran frequently because they offer a non-stop flight to Orlando which is where we travel to alot (in-laws live there). I have never ever had a problem with them. The only time I ever had a luggage issue was with another airline (flew to Texas-luggage was a day later). I love the low prices, the good size plane, (hate those little prop-jobbers) and the dependability. I think alot of how you experience customer service is all in your approach. We were stuck in Orlando once because of a huge Northeastern snow storm and the people were all very nice and kept us informed the whole time. Too many people are just rude and treat the staff as if there is no other problem as big as their own. I cringe when I see how rude some people can be. I can imagine as an airline employee, that would certainly wear on you and would possibly give you a preconceived notion on how people will behave and react to a problem. Mistakes happen. Weather happens. I always treat...

I love the different scents that Yankee Candle has but they are SOOO expensive that I finally decided to buy a $10 tart burner and buy the tart instead. I actually like this better because I don't have to make a huge committment to one particular scent and I can change it with my moods. The fragrance really carries through my whole downstairs and the price can't be beat. AND many other stores carry them even cheaper! I love the apple scents and the pine scents in the winter and then the linen scents and the citrus scents in the summer. It makes the house smell clean and...

a26c331 says "It really is a balanced newscast. " about Fox News

I think sometimes we associate opinion programs with the news. While Fox has alot of conservative talk-shows (one of the few networks that do), they report the news. The news without interjecting their opinions and slants. I know everyone thinks they do because they are so different from networks, but that is because networks are actually the ones with a slant. If you watch all programs with an open mind, take some time to do your research and form your own opinions, then you will benefit from this network. Both sides need to be heard. I also think that political affiliations help form opinions on this network without taking the time to really listen. I don't think Fox news is right-wing (many of the talk shows are---but the news is not!) I think it just is not left-wing; something we are not used to... A vast difference from the mainstream media. Really. Hannity and Colms is a very good program to watch to get both sides of an issue and they give you a good springboard to...

I like the lotion and the handsoap of this particular line. I must say it works alot better than I thought it would. It seems like avon kept coming out with new stuff but nothing changed. This line is a keeper. I wish they offered it year 'round. The hand soap leaves my hands feeling smooth and lightly scented (like) and the lotion doesn't leave me with that greasy residue feeling after I have put it on. So, the price is right and it works great. What more can you ask for? —...

a26c331 says "Has everything but expensive" about Babies-R-Us

I can't say that I hate this store because I love browsing and seeing all the baby stuff. I like their selection of clothes but I think they are too pricey for as long as the kids will wear them...Alot of the things that they have can be purchased at target or Baby Depot for less. However, it is a good place to register as they will have everything you need to raise a baby. I do wish they had more selection of premie sized clothes. My daughter wore them for the 1st 2 months and she was limited to some jammies and onesies. (she was still cute) — The furniture section is very nice. I like the choices and that they are not all partical board crappy pieces. But there again, very pricey. Maybe I am picky but I think that things for babies should be more affordable for us new mommies that decide to stay-at-home. I am willing to pay for quality but when the same identical things are on sale at Target for less I think they take advantage. — Good in-store clearance...

I love granola and I love peanut butter so I love these! I don't think they qualify as health food, but you never know. There are usually coupons for them in the paper or online.
I suppose it is a personal preference but I think this particular beer tastes odd. It leaves a weird after-taste and it definitely isn't up to Sam Adams quality.

My daughter will chew on this but for short periods of time. The vibration seems to be too much for her. She prefers the cold on her teething gums. I have put this in the fridge but it just doesn't get cold like those liquid-filled rings that she loves. Quite frankly, when she is in full-blown teething mode, the one thing that will calm her down is her "keys". I made her a set using a bunch of different key chains (no keys). She likes the metal rings for whatever reason. That and a dose of infant tylenol does the trick! She does like to shake this teether though because of the rattle piece on the other...

This website provides step by step directions and tips to doing your taxes. You just follow along and when you are all done, you can e-file (free if you made under $54000 or meet other criteria). E-filing is by far the quickest way to get your tax refund without paying ridiculous fees for a "loan". It is alotsimpler than people may think and if you want, you can go through the whole program and then print it out to look at rather than hitting transmit to send to the IRS. It helps find all those little things you wouldn't normally think of and maximizes your deductions. One year I used Turbo Tax, H&R Block and a 3rd site that escapes me right now but all 3 sites gave me a different final result. That didn't make me happy. (So I went with the highest refund amt!) but this particular site was recommended through the IRS website and is very fool-proof. ...

I can watch this movie 86 more times and still love all those classic moments with "Doc" Holiday (Val Kilmer---hearts) and Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell---hearts). Not only is all the hotties in it (Sam Elliott is Wyatt's brother and for the guys, Dana Delaney is the love interest). We all know the story of the OK Corral but this version is so entertaining. I absolutely LOVE Doc Holliday in this--sarcastic, witty and fearless. Val Killmer was never better. (Even as Jim Morrison in the Doors) Yes it's not historically accurate, but it is by far the greatest movie ever. You don't have to like Westerns (I don't) and about every 5 lines is a "one-liner" that you will use over and over. Not a boring scene in the whole film. Just watch it, you won't be...

I must confess; I used my husband's razor in the shower. He uses the Fusion (not the power one) and loves it. I have gone through every women's razor out there with none that make me happy. I HATE the strips of gunk (moisturizer) that they all feel we need. I want a multiple blade razor that lasts. That is why I use this one. I ended up buying my own. It shaves super close every time; each blade lasts at least 3 months; I never nick myself, and one swipe is all it takes! Yes the cartridges are pricey; but they last alot longer than other razors I have used. THe case holds extra cartridges in it so they are always there when it is time to replace. Also there are frequently coupons for it in the paper or on line. Ican't imagine using any other razor ever...

This store is alot like Big Lots in my opinion. It does have alot of great bargains if you are willing to look. My favorite thing to do is go directly to the clearance rack to see the latest mark-downs. They really knock the prices down on this scratch and dent stuff. I got a set of pretty napkin rings for $.37 because one was broken--I took it home and glued it back together. Also got a set of notecards for $.57 because the package was open. Lots of household goods at pretty good prices. Mixed nuts and olive oil are the best prices I have seen. However, it also has alot of junk--bad quality furniture, bed sheets etc. Depends on what you are looking for. Good prices on books, picture frames, storage containers, wooden hangers... you name it; they have it. Go on a weekday for smaller crowds. Oh also good for gift...

I served this wine (Grower's Blush) at my wedding and EVERYONE loved it. I have alot of friends who "don't like wine" but this is mild enough for everyone to enjoy. It has a semi-sweet fruity flavor with a nice soft finish. I love to support our local wineries in upstate NY and I think the Finger Lakes region provides many wines to rival the higher priced varieties from Napa and France. All the labels are artwork done by Walter S Taylor (a fascinating story behind this family) founder of the winery. The price can't be beat and I encourage everyone to try a Bully Hill wine today!
