ZX2Fast says "Tired of paying for ink? Get a laser printer." about Hewlett Packard Color LaserJet 2605dn Printer

I got a great deal on this printer. Even at its' original price it is still a good deal. Sure, laser printers cost more upfront and it seems more expensive to keep them running with toner costing $80 or so. If you feel this way, keep track of how many pages you get per dollar in an inkjet. Even if you use the high estimate you get from the cartridge package, you still come out ahead with toner. A laser printer will pay for itself the first time you have to buy toner. I was getting 35-40 pages from a black ink cartridge if I was lucky. So far I've gotten 1400 pages out of my black toner, and it still has 25% left in it. The toner cost $75 compared to $13-15 for the ink cartridge. You don't even have to do the math to see how much cheaper it is to own a laser printer. HP makes the most reliable printer today. The price is good on them to. If you have a home network, this model will work as a network printer. You don't even need a print server, it is its' own server. ......

ZX2Fast says "No matter what I throw at it, it just keeps running." about Ford Escort - 1999

I bought this car in 2000 with 22,000 miles on it. The price was right and it even still smelled new inside. Now it has nearly 180,000 on. It is easy to work on and cheap to fix if you can do the labor yourself. I like that the engine is non-interference (even though shop books list it as such) so that if the timing belt breaks, you won't have engine damage. Just put a new belt on and go.

The automatic's (ATX) are a bit slow. The 130 horsepower Zetec is enough for a car this light, but the ATX just saps so much power from it. The manual transmission (MTX) has an extra gear and sap less of the power. It is certainly more fun to drive and gets better fuel economy if you drive it right. The engine has been used in rally racing for years and it shows. I just keep the oil changed in this car and it keeps on trucking.

Two years ago I added a turbocharger to this car. I run an moderate 7-8 pounds of boost. It makes enough power to keep up with these newer factory turboed...
...

ZX2Fast says "Loaded with features but not too reliable." about Xbox - 360 Console

I like this little box. Lot's of games, lot's of features, lot of value for little cash. But, it does seem to be unreliable. The first generation had overheating issues. They seemed to solve that issue with the 2nd generation of consoles. But, there are other problems. It still is prone to overheating if not properly ventilated. By properly ventialated, I mean it needs a fan pointed at it and you might have issues with it being on most entertainment centers. The disc tray on mine worked great for about two months. Now I have to tap it to get the tray to open. Sometimes it even opens on its' own right after I close it. Some of the Microsoft branded accessories are crap too. Like the charge and play kit. It takes 3 days of playing to charge the controller up. On top of that, the battery gets so hot it makes your hands sweat. I solved that issue with an external battery charger and a couple of spare packs. Now I don't have to smell my hands burning when I play. ...
...

ZX2Fast says "Great, unless you need to use the warranty for the HP Mediavault" about Hewlett Packard HP MV2120 500GB Media Vault 500 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive

Nice amount to storage. Easy to set-up and comes with a software disc to use on each computer you are going to access it with. Some nice additional features like DNS if you want to share your pictures online with your own internet address.

The bad. Well, after two days I could no longer gain access to the vault. After being on the phone with tech support for 2.5 hours, it was determined that the hardrive or operating system failed. Since I had already moved some files to it that are very important to me, wiping the drive was not an option. However, they could send me a new drive with the OS loaded already so that I could copy my files to it. But, they were unwilling to do this unless I left a $225 deposit. They said this is thier policy, but according to the warranty, they can only charge me if I don't return the old drive in 30 days. The warranty says nothing about a deposit or even hints that they have the right to charge a deposit. The tech support person said she...
...
