Quick View: Bath and Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap is great smelling soap that effectively cleanses hands. I find, though, that the foam type seems to run out very quickly compared to the deep cleansing and moisturizing varieties in the same scents. I like this soap but prefer the longer lasting non foaming soaps better.

My Take on Bath and Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

This liquid hand soap comes in 8.75 ounce plastic pump bottles in many signature scents and newer fragrances that Bath and Body Works carries. You can choose from unisex scents to very girly ones to clean, fresh types. The pump soap is fragrant and it is, indeed, a frothy foam. It's very lightweight and doesn't dry my skin. However, I find that I have to pump it several times to get enough to feel as though my hands are really clean. My husband and son also seem to use much more than they would if it were regular hand soap as compared to the foam.

When I rinse my hands, they do feel cleansed and smell great....

I like my citrus, but not so much orange or lemon. I like lime. I much prefer that taste in my cooking, and I'll add lime added to steak is amazing. I have to have a lime in my preferred drink, Rum and Diet Coke. This makes it just that much easier to achieve it.

I can drink a plain Diet Coke, but if I have rum in it, I really want a lime taste to it. Of course a fresh-squeezed lime is preferred, but that's not always doable. Lime-flavored rum works well, with Bacardi Limon being my preferred favorite. Yet sometimes I want a little different taste than just lime. I like coconut rums as well, and I can add Diet Coke with Lime to a coconut rum to make it a different combined taste.

But one of the best reasons I've found to have the Diet Coke With Lime is tha it makes me feel like I'm having a mixed drink without even having to add any alcohol. I can pour myself a glass over ice, and I feel like I'm having a mixed drink. It tastes really similar. It's great for a Saturday night when I'm staying...

I lost my favorite dental floss this past year. It just disappeared from the shelves very slowly, and I'm assuming they're no longer making it. This has me on the hunt for a new floss. What I liked about my other faithful brand was that it said it was like brushing in between my teeth, and it delivered on that promise. It also had a great mint taste to it that complimented well the flavors of my toothbrushing.

Seeing Reach Total Care Floss With Listerine, Mint, in the store, I figured this was finally the replacement I was looking for. It says it slides as easily as Glide floss and that it removes up to 2x more plaque because of its micro-grooves technology. I never would hav thought that there'd be a technology to dentall floss, but this one has supposedly been well-engineered.

By the end of the HBO series True Bloods' first season I had become intensely interested in reading the series of books upon which the show is based, and so I bought the boxed set of (7) books, the second of which is Living Dead in Dallas.

Synopsis

Living Dead in Dallas picks up where Dead Until Dark left off. The book revolves around the life of a waitress, 26-year-old Sookie Stackhouse, who makes her home in the Northern Louisiana town of Bon Temps.

Living Dead in Dallas opens as Sookie finds the dead body of Lafayette, the openly Gay short order cook at Merlotte's the bar in which she works. Sookie soon learns that Lafayette had been frequenting local sex parties and she believes members of the group might know something about her associate's murder so she uses her "disability" to start tuning into people's thoughts as they come into the bar.

Sandra Bullock spends much of this movie explaining football to us. I didn't need the explanations. We're a football family. I'm well-versed on everything about football. We watch our beloved Chicago Bears religiously, my husband coaches youth football, my son is on the high school varsity football team, and my daughter cheerleads for youth football. I didn't need the explanation. Nor did I need her explanation of why her character was helping a kid in need. I understood.

The story centers around Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron), a disadvantaged teenaged boy. His mom is a crack addict, leaving him to his own means. He crashes on the couch sometimes at his friend's house. Quick View: The As Seen on TV Onetouch Automatic Can Opener 29101 is a battery operated can opener that actually opens cans by itself, shuts off by itself, and supposedly lifts can lips up and out of the cans with ease. I found it works on normal sized cans but not on smaller or larger ones very well. It's noisy and slow too.

My Take on the As Seen on TV Onetouch Automatic Can Opener 29101

I bought this gadget when I saw it on a deal a day site for around $11.00 shipped. The hype was that it opened all cans with just a touch of a button, lifted the lids up with its magnet, and took no space on the counter. I liked all that but it turns out that the claims were inflated.

This hand held unit does latch onto normal (vegetables, dog food, fruit) cans and it "walks" itself around the lid. It does seem to lift those lids up with its magnet and the lids nor the can edges are sharp. The unit is noisy and slow though and has a 20 second cycle no matter what the size of the can.

There are many advantages to living in Houston and one of them is that Continental Airlines offers many non stop flights from Houston to were I want and need to go. Much of our family lives in Ohio and without Continental Airlines it would be difficult if not impossible to see our family (with them traveling here or us traveling there) as often as we do. My daughter has flown using their unaccompanied minor system (which is expensive but never messed up); I have flown alone with two preschool children in tow and so far every experience has been excellent.

What I like about air travel with Continental Airlines

at check in they offered my husband a security pass so he could help me get the kids to the gate
they always take excellent care of my unaccompanied minor daughter as she travels back and forth
the flight attendants let ME handle the children - with the occasional helpful suggestion (say about ears hurting)
daily flights back and forth to where we need to go

Psychic powers make people uncomfortable. No one wants to believe that it's possible, and we want to constantly find the trick behind it. So the film <em>The Men Who Stare at Goats</em> that talks about a section of the U.S. military that trains men to fight battles without violence and with their minds instead, it makes us uncomfortable. Shooting people is more comfortable than controlling objects, people, and animals with our minds. The line at the beginning of the movie that tells us, "More of this is true than you would believe," tends to make us even more uncomfortable.

The film is based on the book by Jon Ronson, of his own investigation of the U.S. military's efforts to control things, people, and animals with psychic powers. We're just not sure how much in the movie is true. His part is seen through the eyes of reporter Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor). Looking for a story, he interviews a man who claims to have psychic abilities, then explains he learned it from the military, and points...

Quick View: I am no domestic diva but I love food that is HOT, not warm. recently, I was given a Micro Hot Plate Thermal-Insulating Stone Plate and didn't even know what it was. I found out that it is a very effective hot plate that keeps food hot much longer than simply setting the bowl on a regular hot plate. It doesn't burn fingers either!

My Take on the Micro Hot Plate Thermal-Insulating Stone Plate

This hot plate is 6"x6", a bit small for my taste but will hold a casserole dish or large bowl just fine. It has a smooth marble surface and two handles to carry the plate. To use, you just warm it in the microwave for up to four minutes. The smooth top will be very hot but the handles remain cool.

The bottom also stays cool so there is no worry of burning the table or other surfaces. The plate keeps foods hot for at least a couple of hours. We used the Micro Hot Plate Thermal-Insulating Stone Plate to set a casserole on and it stayed incredibly hot for a long time. We all like hot foods...

There are some subjects you just want to talk about. This review is about one of those topics. Maxi Pads. UGH - I hate that word, and I hate the time of month that goes along with it, but....still. There are some products you come across that are just so 'different' that you HAVE to share your experience. Here's mine.

Always Maxi Overnight Extra Heavy Flow pads. WOOF! I have never in my life seen a maxi pad that is as large as this thing. I mean it is HUGE. GIANT! A surfboard! For the sake of this review, I'm sitting here with a ruler so I can measure the size of this thing. Here it goes.... While still in it's individual wrapper it measures over 1/2", obviously when it's unwrapped it's not nearly as thick. The length of this maxi pad is what I find so unbelievable! I just measured it and it measured at 15" long. THAT IS OVER ONE FOOT of maxi pad that you are supposed to wear while you sleep. Good luck with that! (Oh, also they have wings so they cover...

This review is the for New Moon movie, and not the New moon book.

The day before Thanksgiving, I splurged and took the kids to see the New Moon movie. I rarely pay the prices at the box office, but because I enjoyed all the Twilight books so much I wanted to see the movie. Of course, there was a long line to see the New Moon movie, but we were able to get into the first showing. The theater was packed, but even the pre-teen girls that were there to watch it were quiet and behaved themselves during the film, so I was happy.

For the record, the New Moon book was my least favorite of the series. I found it to be slow and boring, and the characters all annoyed me. While the New Moon moviewas also a bit slow in parts, I thought that the Jacob character was well presented and I actually started to like his character (I hated the Jacob character in the books). It didn't hurt that Taylor Lautner, the actor that played Jacob, was absolutely gorgeous and really buffed up for the movie....

My Take on Colorescience Achromatherapy Gem Spritzer - On The Mend

This product is a green can of spritzer made to be misted on the face whenever it feels dry. The scent is On the Mend which is made with rosemary to sooth taut skin or skin that is dry from chemical peels or just the elements. There are three other scents which use other herbs but all do the same thing. They just have different scents.

Quick View: I love playing with eyeshadow but don't love spending tons of money for one or two shades unless I absolutely adore everything about the shadow. I bought a few one dollar e.l.f. Duo Cream Eyeshadows and like them although they tend to crease and aren't too pigmented, For the price, though, they're pretty good!

My Take on e.l.f. Duo Cream Eyeshadow

These little pots of cream eyeshadow have two shades per pot. I like that since I rarely use tons of any one shade. I found that the colors look deep but apply with little pigment. I can add more but then my lids get a bit sticky. They also have a bit of shimmer to them. One duo, Cookies and Cream, which is a brown and a white shade, is super shimmery. The white is KABAM shimmery but still pretty,

If I don't use primer, these shadows will crease. They end up in the crease of my eyelid and I have to use a finger to get the color back onto my lids. With a primer though, they tend to work better.

Quick View: The whole line of I Am fragrances is vastly different in scent. I have a couple of them and really am not pleased with them. They are very strong, too strong for me. I have allergies and this scent is the least offensive but still can give me a headache if I don't apply very sparingly. Still the three piece set is a great deal for those who like this fragrance.

The fragrance is described as a fruity floral with notes of green apple, orange blossom and vetivert. I don't smell any apple or orange blossom and have no idea what vetivert is. Just Friends did not receive the attention it deserved when it was at the movie theaters. In fact, I never heard of the movie until I watched it on DVD as a rental. However, after watching Just Friendsonce, I ran out and bought the movie and added it to my DVD collection. IT IS HYSTERICAL!!! Absolutely hilarious film that stars Ryan Reynolds (love him!), Anna Faris, Amy Smart, Chris, Klein, and a host of others.

NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW -

Just Friends is an unsuspecting Christmas comedy that the entire family can enjoy together. When handsome and successful Chris Brander (Reynolds) returns to his hometown on an unexpected trip, he is put in the position to be face-to-face with his best fried from high school (who he was secretly in love with). Although Chris arrives back home confident and self-assured, being back in his hometown and surrounding by people he went to high school with, he quickly loses his confidence and is sucked back into his insecure old self. It is hilarious....

When you're sick and have to blow your nose CONSTANTLY, the last thing you want to do is use a rough tissue. Am I right? It just plain hurts! Puff's Ultra Soft & Strong Tissues make an enormous difference when you don't feel good. It's like blowing your nose into a nice, soft, ultra-thin blanket! Seriuosly, they are that soft!

No one likes to be sick. But when you have a nice soft box of tissues by your side, you don't mind having to blow your nose as much. Puff's Ultra Soft & Strong Tissues may cost a little more (hardly anything worth mentioning) but they are better than any discount or bargain tissue. Because they are thicker and stronger, you don't need to use as many at a time. One tissue will go a long way, thus you're saving money in the long run.

I keep Puff's Ultra Soft & Strong Tissues in my house all year long. We have a box in the bathroom and a box on the kitchen counter at all times. We may not always need them, but it's good to know we have them on...
