Viper9 says "More weights, less room for storage." about Bow Flex Select a weight

I have bought the Bow Flex "Select a weight" dumbbells these are the ones that have the rotary dials at each end of the dumbbell so that you can dial in the amount of weight for each dumbbell. The increments are: 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 & 52.5 pounds. In order to get all of these separate dumbbells you need the space of a small room to store all of them and a rack to hold them all so you won't trip on them when you walk into the room. By having the selector on each end of your dumbbells you dial in the desired weight that you want to work with and then just pick them up and the rest of the weights stay in the tray where you store your dumbbells. Everything is nice and neat you're able to curl with a 25 pound one and then rest and then pick up a second one that you have dialed in with a greater or smaller weight and then continue or just dial in another weight for a different exercise and continue after that. Some exercises call for a lopsided weight...
...

Viper9 says "Zyrtec doesn't do anything for me." about Zyrtec Allergy Medicine

This is my first year to have to deal with allergies so my Dr is on a roll in trying to find something that works for me. I tried Zyrtec and couldn't see that it did anything for me, this isn't to say that it's bad, just that it didn't work with the way that my body works. So for me this medicine isn't for me. If Zyrtec works for you then more power to zyrtec, it isn't for everyone but then not everyone is the same. It's great to read these reviews so that you can decide and perhaps find a name of a drug that someone else has tried and even if it doesn't work for them it may be a name that your Dr just knows and didn't tell you at that time to give it a try. Medicine isn't tried and true a lot of the time it's hit and miss, they try their best but it's all a guessing game as far as which medicine will work for which individual person. The internet provides all kinds of interesting tidbits and information that will at least bring you new names to give to your Dr in trying to combat this...
...

Viper9 says "Helps to reduce the strain put on your Kidney's from Diabetes." about Altace Altace

Alltace is an ace inhibitor that helps in the reducing the affects of Diabetes damage to your kidney's is the way it was explained to me by the Doctor. The only thing I know for sure in the last 6 years that I've been taking this medication is that my kidney's have found a way to overcome the affects of Diabetes. To the tune of actually trying to heal themselves as my checkups have revealed an increase in the function of my kidney's. I found out my kidney's were not functioning properly when I tried to get some Life insurance and then the race was on to try and stop this deteriating function of my kidney's. So after several attempts through the years I've been on alltace which is letting my kidneys actually trying to mend themselves the body is a wonderful contraption. Given the right circumstances your body will try to repair itself with the right medication and follow some of your Dr's orders like losing weight to help repair itself. Albeit not to the prime condition of your youth as...
...

Viper9 says "Have to eat right and take your medicine." about Lipitor Atorvastatin Calcium

Lipitor 40 mg medication is the one that the Doctors have prescribed for me to lower my cholesterol to acceptable levels. This medication also helps me in my fight with Diabetes control as my last rate was 6.1, seems the older I get the more these numbers seem to increase. My waist has suddenly started to increase as well, so I am out walking around a lot more, increased my walking around at work even though it is an all concrete work room floor full of operational equipment. Lipitor was prescribed to me over 10 years ago from Zorcor, Lipitor is doing a very good job of keeping my cholesterol levels below 190. The last cholesterol check in February 09 I was at 145 taking this medicine but once a day. The last 3 months I have cut the pill in half and have been taking it in smaller doses as it has worked for me so well. With the walking and losing some 20 pounds since the first of the year, I should be well on my way in taking less as there is less of me that needs this medication. Just my...
...

This is a review on my experience with a new form of Diabetes medication that I have been using now for the past year. The new medicine for me is 2.5 mg of Gilizide it is a little blue pill that has great lasting power and delivers a big one, two punch in controlling your Diabetes. I was at one time on Glucophage and then it was switched to the generic of Metformin you know the ones with the 1000 mg horse tablets you were supposed to take twice a day. I could never remember to take them the second time so I just took them all at once in the morning. If you do it this way make sure you tell your Dr so that they can prescribe the doeses the way you actually take them, that makes a big difference in how it works with your body too. When I was switched to Gliizide it is actually easier on my kidneys (why doesnt the apostrophe work for this review?, brings up quick find links only). Plus the smaller pill size is a lot easier to swallow, works a lot better with my system I have between 70-110...
...

Miller Geniune Draft Lite has been out for many years, but has just started to gain fame once again as a Lite beer. With the advent of more commercials showing how the other guys stack up with their Lighter versions. They ads show that you get only half of what the other guys have for beer. I've been drinking this brand and style of beer for 10 years or more once I contracted Diabetes. It's always refreshing, taking the edge off after mowing the lawn or going on a 1-2 mile walk in the evenings after the wife gets off of work. Or just enjoying the company of friends and neighbors that stop by for a chat. I've served this beer and have converted several people into making this a regular household beer for them to use everyday, not just on the weekends. Sure other beers everyone can try something new and different with the myriad of micro breweries popping up, just go to a local grocery store chain and there are more varieties than you'd ever thought possible. But to have one with just 64...
...

This restaurant is the best for a great Top Sirloin their seasonings they put on this steak will make you want to eat it without A1 steak sauce. The top sirloin is typically not the best cut of steak but at this place it's better than the ribeye's that they serve and the price is right for them as well. You get all of the dinner rolls you can eat and they come hot right out of the oven with cinnamon butter. Plus you can eat and throw peanut shells right on the floor or into your own special little tin bucket sitting on your table. The beers are served in a 23 oz cold glass that makes them especially good when you drink one of these down. The Cowboy cut Top Sirloin is 16 oz and you get 2 sides with that as well. The service is second to none, you should call ahead and get your seating as it fills up everyday that they're open.
...

The Evergreen restaurant is the simply the best place for your buffet style needs with 10 different kinds of sushi a day, a great mongolian BBQ, all kinds of soup, peel and eat shrimp. For an extra $$'s you can add crab legs to your dinner buffet and they're all-u-can eat as well. The salad bar is enormous with baby octopus in a slightly warm/hot sauce served cold, to calamari salt & pepper rings, some sort of pizza and sugar donuts, plus the usual Chinese fair. From the General Tsu's spicy chicken to beef and broccoli everything here is super. My favorites are the sushi, donuts, stuffed mushroom caps, mushrooms in a brown sauce, mussels with hollandaise sauce, seafood delight with shrimps and mock crab meat, and stuffed crabs. It's a 3 plate minimum for me when I dine at this restaurant.
...

The range cafe offers a new and unique dining experience far from ordinary. My wife especially likes their oatmeal for breakfast as it's in a good size bowl and then it's topped with Cinnamon ice cream right in the center of the oatmeal. The price is a bit steep for oatmeal at around $8.00 but getting ice cream for breakfast is priceless. If you're there with a group of 8 or more then you're taxed with an 18% gratuity but the service is very good even when we were there with 26 people.
...

Our Carnival experience was not as good as we had hoped. We've been married on the Royal Carribean cruise line after we docked in St Thomas, VI. Then we went on a family cruise with Norweigen cruise lines and this last time was with Carnival Cruise lines with 5 kids, and 2 girlfriends along plus the wife and I. The overall comfort level wasn't there like on the other two ships, the wait staff weren't friendly all of the time, if you bought regularly from them then they were more apt to be friendly towards you. Our waiter at the dinner time had an attitude and didn't really want to be there as it was his last week on board and he was going to retire. Some of the other tables their people didn't show so those waiters had that time to themselves our waiter wanted us to do the same so he could lounge around. It got so bad I had to go to the Maitr'e D and then it didn't get any better because he had someone help him when their table didn't show up. It finally got better after we went to the...
...

We picked up this little heater to use in our 24' 5th wheel camper that we purchased this year. We didn't want to constantly use the propane heater, we go to campsites that we rent electricity from. We decided to get a little space heater and this heater was the one that we chose. It's really good if the temperatures don't drop to below 35 degrees or so. After that it doesn't have enough power to sustain itself below that temperature. So we went back to Wal-Mart and purchased another exact one and when the temperature dropped down to 18 degrees outside we were able to maintain 70 degrees inside the camper! With both of them on and pulling electricity from the campsite we were really roughing it camping out in our 5th wheel. The outside water hose froze from the camper to the faucet, we put on a spare hose and poured hot water on the outside faucet connection to get it to flow again. Two of these small heaters did the trick for us and we're very happy with the thermostat feature where they'll...
...

Viper9 says "Yellow Corvette hard to miss & hard to pass!" about Chevrolet Corvette - 2004

This yellow Chevy Corvette turns more heads around to look at it than the Mitsubishi Twin-turbo red AWD car I had previously. I bought this one used from a dealer in Houston who stood behind the car when it acted up within a couple of weeks. Seems it had an oxygen sensor go out on it to the tune of $550.00. They paid for all of the repairs from Corvettes of Houston truly a Superb dealer. The car is a stock 350 cubic inch which develops 350 horsepower to the rear wheels. When you take off the traction control you're able to smoke the tires for about as long as you want to power brake the car. You'd better hold on as the car will take off quite fast after that if you're not ready for it. That traction control really does it's job on this Vette. I also have the heads up display, the Bose sound system and the Z51 handling package with a brown (saddle) interior, with a removable center top so it's close to a convertible that you can get without a 'T' in the center. The top fits neatly in the......

Viper9 says "Best Gas Mileage of any car on the market right now!" about Toyota Prius - 2005

The 2005 Toyota Prius has an actual gas mileage of 45 on the highway and about 50-55 city driving in town. The only drawback is that when it drops below freezing then the gas mileage will drop also. The dealer claims that's inherent because it takes the on-board computer 10 days to adjust itself from the climate in New Mexico to say Nebraska during the winter months. This Feb 2008 we saw gas mileage lowest of 28-35 mpg, then once we came back to New Mexico it was once again 45 mpg. I just wish they had a lumbar in the seats of the Prius as this is our primary over the road vehicle. We had previously owned a 2002 GMC Yukon, a 1999 Dodge Avenger, a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000 GT-VR4, and now have a 2004 Chevy Corvette....
