One has been great - it's a group of people meeting up informally for dinner once a month with no fee to attend. There are always new people joining and no set topic. The other meet-up I attended was just a lecture series in disguise and a "Small Business Guru" trying to get his name out there, sign people up for his lectures, and sell his books and other merchandise. I think the concept is a great idea, especially if you're new to an area or have an interest that none of your friends are into.... The website connects to Google Maps and will give you an aerial view of the neighborhood, with home values superimposed on top of the map. It seems to take into account only the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, however, and not the size of your lot.... I've earned tons of free gift certificates just for visiting websites and taking advantage of free trials, surveys, and buying things I needed anyways. Mypoints also lets you pick which types of email you don't want to receive (i.e. gambling, alcohol, etc.). The only negative is that I've found I've gotten a lot more junk mail after giving information to some of the companies that Mypoints has partnered with, so now I'm a little pickier about which offers I take advantage of. I would recommend Mypoints to anyone who wants an easy way to earn free stuff!...
