VPreviewer says "Hang out place, good food too!" about 106th Street Grill - Carmel, IN

Invited here to meet a friend and now I'm a fan!

Adjoining bar allows you to eat in the bar area or at a table in the restaurant.

Food is good, pricing is reasonable. Tables are set up for small or bigger parties which is nice if you've got a group going after work--no massive rearranging of the restaurant so everyone can sit together.

There is a wide variety of drinks, and the pricing is great. Specials run daily so check it out for your favorites.

Good selection of menu items--I've worked my way through the menu to the point where I've had one of everything I believe--the salads are fresh and good sized, the meat dishes served to your specifications. You can also just go for munchies and drinks, and the wait staff is happy to break up your bill if you want separate checks.

Ambiance is great for those wanting to eat with family, or friends, or even date night but it isn't quiet so I don't suggest it for a romantic retreat.
...

VPreviewer says "Overpriced and not very inviting" about Arni's - Indianapolis, IN

We loved the Arni's when it was on 86th and Michigan. It was great fun to enjoy the ambiance of the bikes, motorcycles and other unusual decorations in the restaurant--always something new to see.

The newly remodeled Arni's in this location is just tables and chairs and just not very inviting. The food is the same, but here it just seems 'ordinary' instead of a treat to go eat. I've been there twice--had the taco salad, and a hamburger.

Pricing is probably the same as the old restaurant, but for some reason it now seems overpriced. My favorite combo of a salad and soup seems like a meager portion instead of a bottomless bowl.

Wait staff used to be terrifically friendly--now they aren't unfriendly but they just don't give it the same warm touch as before.

One good change is the addition of Wifi. Now, I'm not one to go out to lunch with my computer, but perhaps they are trying to gain the business lunch crowd instead of the moms taking a break bunch which would explain the changes....
...

VPreviewer says "Locally owned pizza palace, Cub fans!" about Roselli's - Carmel, IN

Roselli's is a small locally owned pizza parlor. At lunch time they have an all you can eat pizza bar for $9 including bread sticks, soda pop and pizza. Service is fast and there is plenty of indoor seating.

At dinner time you can order eat in or carry out. Thin crust pizza is crispy and has plenty of cheese. Eat in drinks are kept filled up.

Menu choices include pasta, sandwiches and pizza.

Two can eat very generously for under $20.

There are tv's tuned to Cub games all during baseball season, and there is even a small Cub decorated private room. The big airy glassed in porch is especially nice in summer--you get the feel of eating out, but not the unpleasantness of bugs, wind and rain.

Negatives are the wacky way of lining up to order your food--there are wait staff there but they only deliver the food--you must order and pay up front before you take your seat. Cheese for the bread sticks is served ice cold and portions are somewhat small but that's not something to discourage...
...

VPreviewer says "Plenty to eat, pretty tasty too" about Golden Corral - orlando, FL

My husband, daughter and I like different foods and Golden Corral fits the bill perfectly. Not all in this chain are exactly the same, but we rarely have been disappointed in the offerings.

My husband is a chicken fan and here he can have it fried, baked, broasted, shredded and even more ways than that. The mashed potatoes taste home made and there are many choices of toppings--cheese, gravy, butter, and more.

My daughter likes mac and cheese, pizza, and more kid food--lots and lots of foods here to fit the fussy eater.

I'm the veggie freak in the family and I can have lima beans, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and of course the more boring corn and green beans. The swiss steak is tender enough to cut with a fork and the salad bar has tuna salad, fresh fruit, caesar and tossed salad and more.
There are always at least two soups--the selection changes but I recommend them all.

During Lent you can find at least two or three varieties of fish on the menu. Check out the daily...
...

VPreviewer says "Adam was the best!" about Macaroni Grill - Indianapolis, IN

Visited this Macaroni grill several times, but our last lunch just this week was absolutely the best.

Ask for Adam to be your server when you call for reservations--he is the BEST thing about Macaroni Grill. The food is great but this server goes above and beyond. He recommended a dish we wouldn't have tried and it was delicious. He made sure our drinks were kept filled, and didn't hurry us along so we could have a great leasurely dining experience.

Our choices were Calamari, spinach archicoke dip, lasagna, chicken and broccoli, and a shrimp/chicken salad lunch special. The shrimp were gigantic and there were plenty of them. The dip was warm and the sliced bread crispy. The warm loaf of bread that came first was very filling and tasty. We had a 4 year old with us, and Adam made sure she had crayons and kept asking her if she needed anything so she felt very important.

The only negatives was that the lasagna portion was somewhat small compared to the competition and the...
...

VPreviewer says "Apple has outdone itself AGAIN" about Apple iPod touch Second Gen (8 GB, MB528LL/A) Digital Media Player

Great way to get email access on the run without hauling a full size laptop. Can download NIMBUZZ to use with SKYPE for free cell phone service (need to purchase a mike--try www.eforcity.com for reasonably priced accessories). Lots of storage for music, photos, video, and games. What did I do without my iPod iTouch!...

I received this as a gift and at first glance I wasn't sure it was something I would use. BOY was I wrong! This is an AMAZING device! I actually rarely use it to listen to music--it is so versatile. I listen to books on tape, do my email on the run, lod pictures and videos to watch on the plane , and with a novice background I've downloaded Nimbuzz and Skype to use my iPod iTouch as a FREE CELL PHONE--in WIFI zones. I travel overseas a lot, and I now can keep in touch with people back in the USA for free as long as I stay at hotels with free WIFI! I can't WAIT for the next version--way cool!...

I can't swim very well, but couldn't pass up a chance to snorkel at the coral reefs in Cozumel. Fury's crew spoke excellent English, patiently trained a non-swimmer how to snorkel safely, and provided a great experience.
My ticket was $60 and well worth every penny--trip was about 3 hours--with about 1 hour in the water, and another hour on a private beach with free kayaking. Plenty of refreshments available.
...

VPreviewer says "Value priced and still great fun" about Carnival Cruise Lines - Sensation

Carnival is a good cruise line to start out with--you can pick a shorter trip to a number of locations. If you're not sure you will like cruising you can get a three day 'taste' at less than $200 if you check for the deals.
Crew speaks excellent English, friendly and from all over the world!
Food portions are generous, nice variety of main meals. Dress code is pretty casual even on formal night--take work clothes in black if you're not into tuxedo and promwear!
Many types of entertainment available--from broadway type shows to bingo.
Don't be surprised to hear way more than you care about tanzanite and diamonds no matter where you cruise too.
I recommend Alaska, Panama Canal, Western Carribean. Not crazy about the Bahamas. You don't need to sign up for additional cost 'shore excursions' in most ports--there are many available, but most ports have plenty of free or low cost site seeing opportunities available that do not involve paying more money to Carnival!...

VPreviewer says "Economically priced, but disappointing" about Chrysler Sebring - 2005

This is a four seat convertible priced at the $20K range. I have had an abnormal amount of trouble with the electrical system--having the battery replaced 7 times in 4 years (all under warranty) due to a drain on the battery created by the seat belt warning system. Battery is not easy to get to--under the front wheel. Car handles nicely, and is roomy for a tall driver although the back seat is a bit limited in space. Convertible top is easy to raise (electronic) and lower.
I would not purchase a Chrysler again due to the difficulties with this particular vehicle. While the dealership was always willing to repair under warranty, it is an annoyance to take car in (or have it picked up) and arrange for alternative transportation while it is in the shop....

VPreviewer says "Fun to drive, fun to own--not yet ready for winter roads!" about Mazda Miata 2004

Adorable car any model year--so much fun to drive! Car is relatively 'spacious' for a two seater-- with a large trunk I can transport up to 18 bags of groceries with careful packing (and no passenger in the front with me!)
Car has great pick up, great turning radius, good looking, good gas mileage.
I drive this car 12 months a year minus 3-5 days that there is snow on the ground. Luckily we don't get many days of snow here as this car will NOT drive in even a scattering of snow due to it's lightweight. But as long as you can depend upon another car/neighbor/spouse to cover those snowy days, this car is a great value for the investment. I've had this one 4 years and wouldn't give it up. My previous vehicles were SUVs which were also fun to drive, but this one is just the right fit for me.
...

This is a fun device, but at $250 it probably doesn't do that much more than the competition's under $100 unit. Plenty of storage, very intuitive to use however it is discouraging not to be able to move music from one PC to another without jumping through hoops.
IPOD does freeze up a lot--you must press menu and start to unfreeze which is annoying. Good looking case, but it scratches easily. Most optional 'cases' make it hard to use the cool touch wheel!
...

This computer can be purchased for less than $400 if you watch for it to be on sale. It's available at stores like Best Buy and Circuit City. The base DDR is 512MB (program running memory) but it can be upgraded to 2G for about $80. Hard disc space is 80GB which is plenty for basic word processing, spreadsheets and email. Computer runs VISTA home basic quite well but probably will be sluggish if you try to upgrade to VISTA premium.
Keyboard is big enough to be almost 'full size'--great for 'big hands'. Positioning of delete and tab keys is a bit hard to get used to, but not that great a disadvantage.
This is NOT a gaming computer and it is a bit heavy for someone who must haul it a lot, but for short trips and for portability in the office on a wireless system it is an advantage to have the bigger 15.4" screen. (It has a built in modem also.)
Computer has a read/write DCD drive that is removeable and it reads and writes up to 11 media formats. Adapts easily to most plug and play......
