      <description>I was fortunate that USAA membership eligibility was expanded in the 1970s to non-military commissioned officers such as Foreign Service and Public Health Service Officers just as I joined the Foreign Service. For nearly 40 years now, USAA has provided me with exceptional coverage and service for all my insurance needs -- auto and property -- no matter where in the world I've been assigned. One military colleague once said to me that USAA coverage is so good that&#160;anyone eligible for membership would be crazy not to take advantage of it. He even suggested that officers should receive it automatically with their commissions!... </description>
