SweetAlex says "The name says it all!" about The First Years Soothie Pacifier

My first child was hooked on this pacifier, so I didn't think twice about getting this brand of pacifier again for my second child. I also got the Soothie brand bottles, which she loves too.

Pros:

Buy these online from the website printed right on the pacifier - or buy them at the store - ie: Babies R Us or Target and skip the shipping.

Website offers the "Wubbanub" which is a Soothie pacifier attached to a small stuffed animal. This makes it easier for baby to find her Soothie on her own. Also gives her something to hold onto while she's sucking.

Comes in different stages, good for newborns, 3+ mos, etc.

Many hospitals use them.

Cons:

When baby drops this pacifier, its round shape sometimes causes it to roll away making it difficult to find.
...

SweetAlex says "This diaper is great - why pay more for the same thing?!" about Target Brand Diapers

I have no complaints about these diapers!

They are way more affordable than brand name diapers and work exactly the same.

Come in small packages and jumbo boxes.

I have used the newborn, size 1 and am currently using the size 2 diapers and have had a good experience with them.

No leaks or broken tabs.

Easy to use.

Cute designs - not like that really matters!
...

SweetAlex says "Exactly the same as Name Brand formula, but half the price!" about Target Milk Based Powder Infant Formula

I was extremely skeptical about feeding my baby Target brand formula, but the price difference of this compared to Similac and Enfamil was too great not to do some research.

Pros:

The numbers and percentages on the nutrition label on the back of the Target formula is exactly the same as Enfamil's.

All infant formula has to meet the same health and nutrition standards.

Even with all the name brand formula coupons I find/receive - the Target formula is still less expensive.

My baby has been using this formula for 6 months and she is growing just fine and hitting all her developmental milestones on schedule...which greatly impressed my pediatrician who was uninformed about Target formula.

Cons:

You can only purchase this formula from Target...which isn't located as close as my favorite supermarket. But I also prefer Target brand diapers and wipes, so it's not that big of a con.
...

SweetAlex says "Love Soothie pacifiers - Love these Soothie bottles!" about Learning Curve The First Years Soothie Baby Bottle

I have Soothie bottles and Avent bottles and my daughter favors the Soothie bottles as well as the Soothie pacifiers.

Pros:

Bottle lid snaps onto bottom of bottle, making it easier to keep track of the lid.

Bottle comes with snack cup which also snaps onto bottom of bottle. For super easy outings with my baby, I fill a bottle with water and then fill the snack cup with the right amount of powder formula so when my baby is hungry, I just snap off the snack cup and pour it right into the bottle and shake. Quick and easy! When my daughter starts drinking something other than formula I can use the snack cup for snacks.

Cons:

Since the bottom of the bottle is flat and has a little ridge (to connect to the lid/snack cup) I have to double check and make sure I get all the formula residue off the bottom when cleaning.
...

SweetAlex says "Comfy nest for your baby to snooze or play in." about Boppy Cradle in Comfort Baby Bouncer

I get a lot of use out of this Boppy chair.

Pros:

This was very easy to assemble with no tools required.

It has a vibrate and sound feature - which was a great aid in helping me soothe my newborn daughter to sleep, but now that she's 6 months old it doesn't really have much of a calming effect on her anymore.

The movable canopy has loops that you can hang any of her favorite toys/rattles from.

You can move the chair from a sitting upright position to a cradle position - great for naptime!

It is super soft and extremely sturdy.

Cons:

The only thing I had to tweak was the depth of the seat for my daughter when she was a newborn. She sunk in so much she really was uncomfortable until I placed a small pillow underneath her to pop her up. Easy to fix.
...
