Suuz says "At long last, some good Bi Bim Bop for pick up and delivery" about Crisp - Chicago, IL

For those of us University of Michigan alumni, that have always been searching for a substitute for the Bi Bim Bop from Steve's Lunch, i might have found the answer...There is a new restaurant called Crisp in town, that specializes in Korean fried chicken ( also quite tasty ), and Bi Bim Bop. It is better as a take out place than a dine in spot. They call their Bi Bim Bop a Budda Bowl, and there are 3 varieties - basically small, medium and large. You can get them vegetarian with or without tofu, or with chicken or Bul Go Gi ( korean beef ). They have different sauces, and brown or white rice. The vegetables are served at room temperature, which i liked. I must say it was really good. I would order from there all the time.
...

Suuz says "The best and sturdiest kids backpack ever!!!!" about Lands' End Zip-Top Cordura

Although i am not typically a Lands End shopper, a few years ago, they sent a seperate backpack catalog, and i was very intrigued...My now 9 year old son had always had character backpacks - a different one every year - they always fell apart. Although the Lands End ones seemed a little pricey, they claimed to be extremely sturdy, and they were actually kind of cute...My son picked a navy blue one and we had them add a little basketball patch ( free of charge ). Needless to say, they weren't lying!!! My son is now in his 3rd year using it!!!! It has gone on numerous plane rides as a carry on; it even went with my son to overnight camp! I have washed it in the washing machine ( and hung it to dry ) numerous times, and quite honestly it still looks brand new. My son is in 4th grade and carries a ton of books, etc., and the bag truly just can't be beat. Well worth the price!!!! Every kid needs a Lands End zip-top Cordura backpack!!!!
...

Suuz says "The best veggie burger in Chicago is at Kuma's Corner for sure!!" about Kuma's Corner - Chicago, IL

Most people would probably not consider me to be the "standard" Kuma's corner customer - it is a heavy metal music playing, biker bar that happens to serve gourmet hamburgers. And let me tell you - not just any gourmet hamburgers - the best of the best ( although i do not eat meat, my husband is a meat afficionado and literally thinks these are the best hamburgers in Chicago! ) Anyway, back to my review, the menu lists 15 different gourmet burgers, all of which you can substitute with a veggie burger or a chicken breast. I had the Matadon which has bacon, cheddar cheese, frizzled onions ( very thin fried onions ) and bbq sauce. I eliminated the bacon and cheese, and added avocado. By the way, all burgers are served on a pretzel roll ( in case you thought it couldn't get any better...). Seriously, the best veggie burger ever! It is truly delicious! It tastes like a real burger! You can get homemade chips( worth every calorie ) or fries or a side salad ( very fresh and...
...

Suuz says "A fabulous Sushi spot in an interesting neighborhood" about Hachi's Kitchen - Chicago, IL

I love sushi! And i love a new , great place to go for sushi. Hachi's kitchen is owned by the same people who own Sai Cafe in Lincoln Park. However, the atmosphere is much more interesting. It is located on California, just south of Logan. It is a funky little building, on a hip stretch of Logan Square. They attract a very interesting and diverse crowd. We always find parking easily. You do need reservations . Anyway, on to the food...SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!!!! Some of the best sushi ever! Their seaweed salad is phenomenal! My favorite rolls are the halloween roll and the dragon roll. The scallop appetizer , the poke tuna, and the yellowtail jalapeno appetizer are delicious as well. Another plus - they pour a very hefty glass of wine. They have a decent list of wines by the glass. Everyone should give it a try!...

Suuz says "Outrageously delicious italian food" about Sapore Di Napoli - Chicago, IL

This tiny treasure is located so close to my house, that my family and i have started going for dinner once a week. They use the finest olive oil, proscuitto, mozzarella di bufala, etc. The pizzas are outrageous! They even have a list of white pizzas. My favorite is the pizza bianco, which features mozzarella, mushrooms, imported italian white truffle oil, and is then topped with proscuitto di parma d.o.p.. I was dieting, and when i reached my goal, this was the treat i had. Well worth the wait and the calories...My children love it too. My son, who is a marinara sauce afficionado, says theirs is the best he has ever had. My husband loves the pizza, the pasta and the calzones. The gelato is so delicious - they will even pour a shot of espresso over it. By the way, they have the best coffee ever. The owner is delightful, as is the waitstaff....

Suuz says "the most flattering and comfortable yoga pants ever!!!!" about Lululemon Yoga Pants

i am so obsessed with lululemon! I am a big exerciser, and i have tried many brands of clothing. Lululemon is simply the best choice for yoga and pilates! They offer many syles and colors to choose from. They fit great. The pants do run a little long, but they do free alterations. They even just did free alterations on lycra tank tops for me - they were too long, so they shortened them. I truly believe that they have a style for everyone. I love that there are so many coordinating pieces. Unfortunately, you cannot purchase the clothes on line, you must go to a Lululemon store. They look great on everyone and are so comfortable. I even wear them when i am not exercising....

I have been on weight watchers for the past few months, so i am always looking for great food for lunch that is low in points...i have been going to Mitchell's restaurant on Clybourn in Chicago for most of my life, and it took me this long to realize it was my perfect spot. I go there almost everyday for lunch now, and i order an egg white omelette with spinach, broccoli, tomatoes and mushrooms and wheat toast. The entire omelette plus one piece of toast is only 4 points. Perfection!!!!!...

In the past 5 months, i have lost 27 pounds on weight watchers. I did it with a couple friends, and i must say it was easy and fun. It is very easy to find food at the grocery store, and on most restaurant menus that work with the plan. It is actually fun to count points. ...
