Sunshine2007 says "Beautiful on the outside - not so good on the inside" about Chevrolet HHR - 2006

We bought this car a year ago, and now trying to get rid of it. It's beautiful on the outside, looks like a classic car, and we have been getting lots of compliments on it because of its looks. It is gas efficient compared to many other vehicles. But it is cheaply built, and that is its worst drawback. We have had to replace several parts in it already. 300 bucks here, 500 there, it ads up for a car this new, if you don't have an extended warranty on it (and that can also get expensive per month). Compared to our 2004 Impala that ran like a kitten for several years without needing a single part replaced. Since HHR is a newer model, you can only get it fixed at a dealer costing you more, because most small mom and pop service places don't know much about the HHR's. I am holding my breath that it won't fall apart before we are ready to trade it in for something a little higher quality.

BTW, someone mentioned it being safe. Well, ours started having a weird wheel noise just a couple of months...
...

Sunshine2007 says "The friendliest place for homemakers to chat and share knowledge" about The Tea Room

What I like about thetearoom is that it is a friendly place for home makers located anywhere in the world to share information on things that interest them about family, entertaining, gardening, cookings, etc. - all in one comfortable, positive and beautifully designed forum, which is growing every day. It is well organized, pleasant on the eyes and welcoming. Come and join....

Sunshine2007 says "Cute and inexpensive" about Angel Line Jenny Lind Crib

I had this crib when my first born was a baby. It's very pretty and solid, and the price is great. It lasted him through his toddler years when we converted it into a toddler bed. The only drawback of those pretty carved poles is that they were harder to clean around the crevices than plain poles....

Sunshine2007 says "It's okay, but probably not the best" about Evenflo Embrace

What I love about it:

I love the colour and the price is hard to beat! I love the removable cover - easy to clean, and the instruction booklet has its own pocket in case you needed it for something. I like the Z-handle for easy carrying, and because it has a base that stays in the car, the seat itself is easy to move in and out of the car, it becomes a carrier and it's a nice thing to have with a newborn.

Things I don't like:

We had a hard time installing the base. While the level positioner was a great feature, the seat still moves from side to side more than I'd want it to, no matter how many times we tried to re-adjust the car's seatbelt.

I don't like the head support the seat came with. It's a small minus though, because you can always remove it and use a different head support, which is what we did. The support the seat came with was VERY uncomfortable for the baby. It pushed her head forward and wasn't soft enough to accomodate her little head when she was a tiny newborn.
...

Sunshine2007 says "Not bad for the price" about Fisher Price Kick and Play Baby Bouncer

For the most part I like this bouncer seat. It vibrates, it has two settings - child activated and regular, for noises and music, two settings for volume, and three different toys, one with a mirror on it. We started using it with the regular setting, but now my daughter prefers to activate the music and noises herself by kicking the foot pads. Each time she kicks, the toy makes a different sound or plays a tune. The only reasons I didn't give the toy 5 stars are:

1-The three toys cannot be removed in case the baby wanted to hold and play with one of them separately. 2-She is not a big baby, and the toys are hard for her to reach with her hands. All she can do is look at them.

...

Sunshine2007 says "Compact and convenient" about Combi Cosmo Stroller

I got the same stroller, but "desert sun" colour from amazon.com. I was looking for something that's not a cheapo but could get at a good price. When I read the reviews and saw the discount amazon was offering on it, I got it immediately and love it. The best part is that it folds several times and becomes very compact and light weight so you can carry it over your shoulder with a strap. It's great for airports or when you go by car and need the space in the trunk. It also has a sleek stylish design. We have used it in the park and the mall. It's easy to maneuver and my husband who is over 6 feet tall feels comfortable pushing it. I wouldn't recommend it for walking on uneven surfaces like grass or dirt roads, or of you carry a lot of stuff with you and need a bigger basket. But other than that, it's very nice....

Sunshine2007 says "Don't use it as often as I have hoped I would when I bought it." about Boppy Luxe Pillow

People raved so much about a boppy, so I put it on my list of things to get. Many said it was a "life saver" for them. But when I feed my baby I actually feel more comfortable holding her the old-fashioned way, so I don't use the pillow for feeding the baby. But it was indeed a life saver when my older son wanted to hold the baby. The boppy made it comfortable for him and was a great help with sibling bonding. Other than that we rarely use it right now, though I plan to use it more when my baby gets a little older to support her when she is sitting. All in all, I didn't really need it and probably would have bought it if I had known it wasn't going to be used much. However, if you feel a nursing pillow will be helpful to you, but you wish to save money, Walmart.com has a great alternative to a boppy, with a harness added to hold the baby when he/she is using it for sitting support. (The harness folds and hides into a pocket and attaches to either side of the pillow with velcro.)...

Sunshine2007 says "The best water for babies" about Nursery Water Purified Water with Added Fluoride

This is a fantastic product! No need to boil water for formula or worry if your tap water is good enough. This is purified by distilation water with added fluoride to strengthen baby's teeth. It comes in a pack of smaller bottles, which are great for travelling, and in 1 gallon containers. It costs about $1.06 at Wal Mart for 1 gallon jar.
...

Sunshine2007 says "A revolutionary product" about Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottle

Before my baby girl was born, I did a lot of reading about new baby products (because our kids have quite an age difference and a lot of new stuff have come out recently), and Dr. Brown's bottles were the only bottles to get a popularity award from parents/readers of American Baby magazine. That caught my eye, so we bought these bottles for our baby. I know many people complained that they are hard to clean, so I immediately set up a convenient system of cleaning them - I put a basin of soapy water by the kitchen sink and once the baby finishes her bottle I disassemble it immediately and put it into the water to soak until I am ready to clean it.

It may be a little intimidating at first, because it's so different from other bottles with all the new unusual parts, but once you get the hang of assembling it, it becomes second nature.

There's only one thing that bothered me about these bottles. They recommend to mix formula separately and then pour into bottles instead of mixing the formula...
...

Sunshine2007 says "Great!" about Dreft Laundry Detergent

This detergent is not cheap, but unless you are doing baby laundry all the time, it will last for a few weeks. I debated whether to buy it or not and glad we did. The Baby's clothes always come out clean and smelling good. It keeps clothes looking new. It's hypoallergenic, so I know it's not going to irritate her skin....

Sunshine2007 says "Organic but too expensive" about Earth's Best Organic Baby Food

I like that this product is organic, but the price for a small jar (at least at our local store) is too high IMO. I got a coupon in the mail and discovered that our regular store didn't carry Earth's Best. So we made a special trip to the store that does carry it and the price was more than twice as much compared to Gerber and Del Monte.
...
