Stormy says "Wireless laser mouse with rechargable battery" about Logitech MX-1000

The Logitech MX-1000 is by far, the best mouse I have ever used. The laser technology makes the movement of the cursor smooth and easy. I have owned mine for about two years now, and have not had a single problem with this mouse. It was kind of expensive ($85), but I have saved enough in batteries to offset the price. If you are in the market for a new mouse, this is the one for you....

Stormy says "Store 400 CD/DVD in one jukebox" about Sony - DVP-CX985V DVD Player

The DVP-CX985V jukebox stores up to 400 discs at one time. You simply type in the number of the disc you want, and there it is. What could be easier.

The sound and video is every bit as good as any other DVD/CD player. I use mine for all the TV show series I have on DVD. I can watch All in the Family for two episodes, press a couple of buttons and watch a little Friends, and then watch Soap, all without leaving my chair.

Another nice thing about it is you no longer have to find storage for all those DVD cases that can take up a lot of space.

As I said, the only bad thing is there is no log to keep track of which shows are connected with which number. I had to make my own by numbering a small note pad and writing each disc in. Not a big deal, but Sony could have included something. That is my only negative. I am very happy with my jukebox, and highly recommend it.
...

Stormy says "Great sound without going broke." about Polk Audio - CS-100

This review is more for Polk Audio than the speaker itself. My Polk center channel is about twelve years old. I also have rear speakers from Polk that are also about twelve years old. The reason for the review is I just noticed that I have replaced my TV, home theater receiver, VCR and DVD player in less time then I have owned my Polks. It is something I have taken for granted over the years and it seems like a good time to give them the respect they deserve. I have never had a single problem with any of them, and I like my movies and music loud. They have taken everything I have thrown at them, and keep on performing at a very high quality. The sound is still as clean and clear as ever. If you are in the market for home theater speakers, I would highly recommend Polk Audio. At least give them a look....

Stormy says "Most dependable appliance I have ever owned." about Mr. Coffee 3 Quart Iced Tea Maker TM50P

I have lived in my house for 16 years. One of the first kitchen appliance I bought was a Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker. I don't like canned or bottled iced tea, nor do I like sugar or lemon in my iced tea. I drink about two gallons a week, and it is all because of the Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker. It has been used at least twice a week for 16 years, and has never given me a day of trouble. We have replaced all other appliances in the kitchen, big and small, some more than once. But my iced tea maker just continues like it is still brand new. With this kind of durability, maybe it should be endorsed by Cal Ripken Jr. instead of Joe DiMaggio....

Stormy says "You will never watch live TV again." about Panasonic - DMR-EH55 DVR

About a year ago, I bought my second Panasonic DVR (digital video recorder). I bought model number DMR-EH55 which comes with a 200mb hard drive. I currently have about 100 TV shows recorded and ready to watch.

Other than fast fowarding through commercials, this machine came in very handy last week when I lost my cable for about eight hours. I had plenty to watch.

Another thing I love about this recorder, is that I can record all the new shows and watch them when I want. I am retired, but my wife is very busy, and can only watch TV at certain times. She now never misses a show.

Set up is very easy with the On-Screen TV Guide. The TV grid comes up on screen, you pick the show to record, verify it, and it is done. The only problem I have had was losing the grid a couple of times. It rebuilds itself, but takes a couple of days.

All things considered, I would recomend the DMR-EH55 to anyone that enjoys TV. You will wonder how you ever lived without it.
...
