It tells you when to add water, raise lid and add water. It tells you when it is ready for use and the next cup. Blinks for you to select which size drink you would like and tells time and more! When using the k-cups it punctures two holes in the cup but it does not drip when you remove from the unit to dispose.  I turn my unit off and unplug after each use.   It states in the manual that it vibrates which is true but it doesn't tell you how loud it is! I also noticed that the menu/clock area gets a bit warm to the touch without brewing.  I haven't left my unit on for any length of time to find out how warm it gets.  There are a variety of k-cups available for this unit so you will have not trouble getting various flavor coffees, teas, hot chocolate and there is a filter cup so you can use your own coffee. The unit comes with a sampler of k-cups which was a huge plus.  ENJOY, I certainly do every morning. —... I was very excited. You know women & shoes! :-) When the three crushed boxes in a plastic bag arrived, I still had hope but that didn't last for long. Arouse pumps in Red suede, grey suede and brown. Both pairs of suede shoes had lots of worn areas on the suede, the red shoes had a brown spot in the suede. The "brown" colored shoes, picture attached, were a dark brown. The red suede and the brown both had poor stitching which was separating from the tip and heel. I called about the other three to find out they were "pre-ordered" shoes! This was not indicated anywhere on the site! I hope they are not the same disappointment. Read the return instructions very carefully!  They will send a return label "and there is a $6.95 per item fee that covers restocking and postage back to the warehouse." This also was not indicated on the website.  Thank goodness these were not clearance because "shoes may...
