SedonaLily says "Gillete Oil Control 2 in 1 Facewash + Body Wash" about Procter & Gamble Gillette Oil Control 2 in 1 Face Wash + Body Wash 12 fl oz

P&G's Gillete Oil Control 2 in 1 Face Wash + Body Wash does the job but it is a bit expensive. I can achieve the same results with a cheaper body wash.

I like the scents and it leaves my skin feeling clean but I do not notice anything special about it's 2 in 1 feature. I have normal skin so maybe I would benefit more from the product if I had more oily skin.

This is a good product to buy a) when it is on sale b) when you have a coupon.

I am somewhat environmental conscious and I think the bottle could be more environmental friendly. The plastic is very thick and, in my opinion, could be made thinner so less material is used.

Overall opinion/review of this product: it cleans me and I like that. But I do not come out of the shower and more of a man than I went it because I used a name brand special 2-1 body wash. I say, "Men, buy something a little less expensive and achieve the same results so we have more money spend on the women in our lives!"

One thumb up!
...

SedonaLily says "Degree Women Ultra Clear Anit-Persp. is suitable" about Degree Women Ultra Clear Antiperspirant & Deodorant

Degree Women's Ultra-Clearn Anti-Perpirant and Deodorant lives up to most of it's marketing.

This deodorant comes in different scents, all pleasant depending on how sensitive your nose is or what you are allergic to.

What I like about this deoderant is that it is long-lasting. I feel secure when I wear it, althought I am not a heaver perspirer. I particularly like to wear this deodorant in warmer months.

One thing I do not like about this deodorant is that I do not feel it is "little black dress approved." I am not one to over-do the deodorant by swiping my armpits over and over. But I still end up with marks on my shirts no matter how careful I am. I always put deodorant after my shirt but it magically appear on my sides! It's terrible if I wear one shirt and then later change into another later - then I know I have to get a towel and wipe down my sides as if I rolled around in flour or something. Maybe it's just me...

Overall, I like the smell and results of the protection this deodorant...
...

SedonaLily says "Herbal Essenses Shapmpoo for Wavy Hair" about Herbal Essences Curls & Waves Shampoo

Herbal Essences Shampoo for Wavy Hair that comes in the purple bottle and has purple shampoo is just ok. I have long, normal (not too dry or too oily) curly hair and there is just something about this shampoo that makes my hair left without it's normal "oomph." The scent of this shampoo is pleasant and it also has a nice lather. It is a good value pricewise, especially if you have a coupon or find it on sale. My hair is thick, but when I use this shampoo it makes my hair feel too light for it's texture and length. I feel like my hair is somewhat stuck to my head even though it is not oily and I use little product on it. It does not feel volumized and I do not notice any more definitiion or lesseing of frizz with this particular shampoo. I did recently use one of Herbal Essences 2-1 shampoos (can't remember the name but it came in an orange bottle) and it made my hair feel much nicer and more manageable. Overall opinion: not for me.
...

SedonaLily says "Gillette Venus Ebrace Razor is #1" about Gillette Venus Embrace Women's Razor

Gillette Venus Ebrace Razor is #1!

I love this razor! I shave everyday and when I do it's quick because I need to be in and out of the shower fast. You would think shaving fast might leave me all nicked up and looking like an Oylmpic Soccer Player with scars all over my legs, but not with this baby!

I have tried Gillette's other razors: Breeze, Divine, etc. and they do not campare to the Embrace.

The Gillette Venus Embrace is superior because it has a an easy, no-slip grip. It also has the right amount of "padding" above and below the razor blades to ensure there is no sticky trail or goop hanging between the razor and your legs. Even though I am a daily shaver, the blades last me weeks!

The one downside I can comment on about this razor is the expense of the replacement cartridges. All replacement cartridges are expensive, so at least purchase a razor where the cartridge is long-lasting. At least coupons on run in the Sundays paper pretty often.

I give this razor a definite two-thumbs...
...

SedonaLily says "LONG-LASTING EYESHADOW FROM VICTORIA'S SECRET" about victoria secret VELVETY EYESHADOW POSE

Victoria's Secret VERY SEXY Velvety Eyeshadow in POSE color.

This eyeshadow has a matte finish and is long-lasting, in my opinion. I have semi-oily , semi-sensitive skin and have no problem with this eyeshadow. I am glad I purchased it because a little goes a long way. Some eyeshadows can cause you to have to dip your brush in them several times before you get the color you want. This is not true for this eyeshadow in Victoria's Secret VERY SEXY collection.

This eyeshadow costs $12.00 (in Tennessee) which is more than I normally spend on eyeshadow. I probably would not have bought it if I did not have a $10 gift-card. But now that I see how smooth and rich of a texture it is, I might have a hard time going back to my three or four dollar eyeshadows.

Other pros for this eyeshadow: quality mirror inside case

Cons for this eyeshadow: no brush included, the case is not easy for me to open (I like something that opens easily because I am always in a rush when putting my makeup on!).

SedonaLily says "Martha Stewart brand Glitter is A-mazing!" about Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter

Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter (available at Walmart and Michael's Craft Stores) is the best glitter I have ever used.

The glitter, although a little pricer than I would likes, is truely worth every penny. The glitter comes in beautiful shades and in two different sizes that I know of.

I recommend this type of glitter to evey crafter out there because it is soo soft. It is so fine. The first thing I thought the first time I used this glitter was, "Boy, would I pay to go to a beach with this glitter instead of even the softest sand I have ever stood in!"

A helpful hint: I like to purchase this glitter at Michaels (for store locations go to Michaels.com) and use a 40% off coupon for a single item which is available to print online and in most Sunday papers.
...

SedonaLily says "VS Cotton Lace Trim Thong has an easy and seamless fit." about Victoria's Secret VS Cotton Trim Lace Thong

The VS Cotton Lace Trim Thong is soo comfy and the lace is sexy. I'm a thong girl and especially like this new addition to the VS Cotton collection (typically, I wear more undies from VS PINK). What I really like about this thong is that it is low-rise and does not creep out of my low-rise jeans or dress pants. I can feel comfortable wearing it knowing that my undies will not be playing peek-a-boo while I go about picking something up, etc.

Here is how the VS Website describes this pair of undies: pure imported cotton, tagless, sleek waistband.

The sleek waistband is a plus for me as I tend to wear form-fitting pants. And the tagless factor is wonderful since I have some other thongs that lack that feature! Grr! Why it took companies eons of years to develop the tagless feature of intimates is BEYOND my comprehension!

Two thumbs up for this type of undie!
...

SedonaLily says "Rich! Not for the non-chocolate lovers!" about Cadbury - Creme Eggs

Cadbury's Creme Eggs are an Easter favorite for me! I must say they really do satisfy a chocolate craving because they are so sweet and sugary. I almost feel like I am getting a cavity when I eat one (although, in my mid-twenties I have never had a cavity). Cadbury Creme Eggs have been my go to PMS craving as of lately (pardon my frankness).

The eggs have shrunk over the past couple of years, however. :o( If you search online there is a late night TV show showing how the size has gotten smaller. The eggs average between $.50 - .$.69 each, which is a bit pricier per ounce than the average chocolate candy bar. I like to look for savings of B1G1 or coupons in the drugstore circulars.

Nonetheless, the eggs have retained their quality and taste. I recommend these to anyone who loves a nice and sweet chocolate candy.
...

Victoria's Secret's Love Spell fragance is a nice light and fruity touch to a beauty routine. It is not heavy, nor does it smell like a fruity bubble gum that makes you smell like a 13 year-old. Whether you purchase the lotion or body wash, I am sure you will love the addicting scent left leaving your skin soft.

One negative thing, in my opinion, is how the regular Love Spell lotion feels on my hands. I like it makes my hands feel when used as a hand lotion. I have no qualms about using it on my legs or arms though. It has a great non-greasy feel that leaves my arms and legs looking moisturized and smelling great!
...

Tide Total Care:

I used this one time because I had a free sample. I was very happy with the scent. I could not stop commenting how good I thought my clothes smelled every time I put something on that came out of the free sample load. I normally purchase detergent that does not carry a strong scent but I was happy with this.

I would purchase it but I think it is too expensive*. It did not do anything exceptional, mind you I just tried one load ,but it is not as if the clothes transferred themselves to the drying rack, then waddled their way over to the dryer to be fluffed, and then folded themselves and slipped into the dressers and closets. If all the before mentioned took place, I could justify paying $12-$15 for a bottle.

*I did receive a $1 off coupon with the sample, but come on!
...

e-rewards program is a decent deal to sign up with.

The surveys do not take a long time to do. They always take me less than the estimated time.

The rewards are a ok, there could be more of a selection. Some of the rewards are a bit pricey if you find out what they would actually cost in real dollars. The blackout date after which points cannot be redeemed is a long period so I don't have a problem with that.

I feel I respond to the surveys quickly but have often encountered surveys that have already met their quota.

I have only redeemed my points once but did not incur and problems with receiving my mag subscription.

In three words: easy, not time-consuming, free.
...

My Coke Rewards online point program - I am only sorry I did not sign up sooner!

Anyone that knows me even a little bit knows my favorite drink is Diet Coke with caffeine. I drink it everyday (unfortunately, I had to decrease my consumption due to the rising costs of the 24-packs).

Back to the program, this is a great reward program because points add up quickly. I am just a single person buying for one and I am happy with how my points are accumulating. They must add up really fast for anyone that has a family.

I like that this points program has the option of donating points to a charity or good cause (I must admit, however, that I have my eye set on a new mag subscription).

I mean why not sign up if you are already buying the product anyway? It's a win-win as far as I am concerned.

Note to Coke Corp. if you are scanning for reviews: What happened to the days when I could buy 2 12-packs of diet coke for $5 plus a bit of tax?

Harper's Bazaar Magaine:

I have a subscription to this magazine, but before I had the subscription I purchased it occasionally. I am glad my subscription did not cost me money (I purchased it through redemption points in a program I enrolled in).

I enjoy the monthly features of how to dress your age (20s, 30, - 60s) and the "What to Buy, What to Keep, and What to Store" list.

Maybe my taste is not quite trendy enough for the magazine, but I think most of the ads in there would not even tempt Hollywood (unless it's someone desperate like Lindsay Lohan or one those other "must have attention" types). Many of the articles focus on how to dress for less or how to stay on budget, but how is someone supposed to spend $1,000 on an outfit to wear to the office? That doesn't seem like dressing for less to me. Who has and extra $1,300 to splurge on a "key item" like a bag that will not be in style next year even if it is a classic?!

If a magazine is really going to try to sell themselves as...
...

SedonaLily says "MOSSIMO shorts for juniors/women: Cute shorts at a great price." about MOSSIMO Short Lowest Rise 2.5" Inseam

MOSSIMO shorts for juniors/women at Target.

These shorts are every bit as nice as the more expensive ones I have purchased in the past. The material is not to thin which gives them a nice shape. I am a twenty-something who does not want to dress like a teenager, but also does not want to have the look of a postal worker in uniform shorts; these are the answer. I feel classy, yet not too conservative. They can be dressed up or down.

$14.99 in Chattanooga, TN.

available in a variety of colors

classic, clean lines

button back pockets

lowrise

short inseam of 2.5" but they do not look trashy

comparable to A&F or J.Crew

soft

comfortable

...

Martha Stewart's COOKIES is the best cookie baking book I have ever seen.

Why this book is a must-have (even if you are not an avid baker):

Brilliant, colorful pictures for EVERY recipe

Wonderful recipe division. i.e.: soft and chewy versus cakey or crunchy

Easy to follow directions

Some of fancy recipes are not extremely difficult

Book cover is so nice that I use the books as a display in my kitchen

Diverse assortment of recipes: everyday through special occasion

...

SedonaLily says "Right On!! Dan knows his stuff!" about Dan Ariely - Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions

Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely.

I randomly picked this book out of the new arrivals at my library. Let me tell, I could not put this book down.

It has so much information and insight into how we make decisions everyday. I have read a lot of insightful books, but this takes the cake. Here is why:

packed full of information, but easy to read

not so easy to read that you feel being talked down to

Dan takes you through his experiments with exceptional ease

eye-opening studies that will keep you thinking and engaged

I have a B.S. and M.B.A., but I found this book to so much more helpful than almost any assigned reading or assignment I ever had. This book offers perspectives that can help people make better decisions in all areas of their lives.

This is not a self-help book that over-analyzes peoples' psyche. Instead, it shows you why you make the choices you do and helps you understand how to not fall into a self-destructive pattern.

Some topics it covers:

why "Free" things make us make funny...

...
