The mixer has now been "tested" through several holiday seasons and has performed perfectly each time. I am a heavy baker and some of the items I bake require hand kneading of the dough preparatory to baking. One year, I thought I'd try letting my mixer take on the task, hoping I would not end up with overly tough dough. Instead, the dough was smooth, perfectly kneaded, and ready for shaping and baking.  What a blessing, especially since I suffer from arthritis. I would recommend (and indeed, have recommended) the Kitchaid Mixer to many of my friends.  Some of them have also made the investment......
