Reviewer11 says "What an inspiring book :)" about Miles to Go

This book, "Miles to go" by Miley Cyrus was a fun read for me. I'm not a fan of Miley, but I like to read books about celebrities (some of them) and I loved this book. I got it at K-mart for the retail price $24 bucks, but it was well worth it. The book is so inspiring, motivating and refreshingly new. Thanks to a review herat Amazon.com., I now gotta remind myself not to believe all that you read. So that being said, I now kinda doubt it to be true what Miley says in this book (some of it), BUT I still do love the book. It's a very good read. Of course, this is just MY opinion. :) It is enjoyable for kids and adults, particularily for Miley fans. Also, after reading this book, it had inspired me to pick up my Catholic bible and read it. I guess because of some Christian quotes in this book.
...

Reviewer11 says "Original fantasy for kids and adults :D" about Half Magic

"Half Magic" by Edward Eager is about 4 children who were bored with their summer life and wished they could do something fun. One of the children named Jane finds a coin in the crack of the sidewalk and puts it in her pocket. At first she thinks it is a nickel but later the children realize it is a magical coin, only instead of granting full wishes, it only grants half. So they have to wish twice to make a whole wish. The children go on adventures with the magical coin and the story ends with a happy ending.

I enjoyed reading this book and I do recommend it to kids and adults who would like to read something different and enjoyable. There's some parts where it is difficult to understand which made me think that the author was British (because the narration sounded that way) but turns out that Mr. Edward Eager was an American inspired by the British writer E. Nesbit.
...

Reviewer11 says "Light and fun mystery novel for kids and adults" about Harriet the Spy

Quote:

"Amazon.com Review
Ages 8-12. Thirty-two years before it was made into a movie, Harriet the Spy was a groundbreaking book: its unflinchingly honest portrayal of childhood problems and emotions changed children's literature forever. Happily, it has neither dated nor become obsolete and remains one of the best children's novels ever written. The fascinating story is about an intensely curious and intelligent girl, who literally spies on people and writes about them in her secret notebook, trying to make sense of life's absurdities. When her classmates find her notebook and read her painfully blunt comments about them, Harriet finds herself a lonely outcast. Fitzhugh's writing is astonishingly vivid, real and engaging, and Harriet, by no means a typical, loveable heroine, is one of literature's most unforgettable characters. School Library Journal wrote, "a tour de force... bursts with life." The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books called it "a very, very funny story." And...
...

Reviewer11 says "Best Children's Book of all time. :D" about The Ramona Collection Vol. 2

In this second volume, it comes with 4 books: Ramona and her Mother, Ramona Quimby Age 8, Ramona Forever, Ramona's World (boxed set) all by Author Beverly Cleary.

My Review:

These books are the best books there is. It's great for children who will enjoy the simplicity in the narration and the stories and the adventures. It's also great for adults. I found this book at Amazon.com., and I'm glad I did. I haven't read these books when I was young but I'm happy I found them now.

After reading them, I found myself thinking back to my childhood and it also helped me remember a few things like how I used to think when I was in that age. lol! Beverly Cleary wrote these books so well it's as if she wrote as she grew along with Ramona.

I also love the new illustrations by Tracy Dockray because it shows an updated look on today's kids which they can identify and it looks so much better.

I totally recommend the volume 1 and 2 of "The Ramona Collection" by Beverly Cleary. :D for kids AND adults....
...

Reviewer11 says "Wikipedia not as reliable as one thinks" about Wikipedia Encyclopedia

When we need research, what do we do? We mostly look for info on Wikipedia online, but what turned out to be an innocent and helpful act for others turned out to be an attack on me.

What happened?

Last year, I registered under a name I made up called "Legacy 1" and under "City of Heroes" I posted under the "discussion" tab info I was told about "Time cards" from the game stores. To make absolute sure, I personally contacted the game's support "PlayNC" and was told there was. So I added that info to the "Wikipedia discussion" page with the intention of adding the info on this subject for others, but according to "QuasiAbstract" and "Oni Ookami Alfador" they wouldn't accept my findings without "a link to a permanent website." I had proof by email but I wasn't going to give them my personal info to log into my account (in the game) to view it. This led me to believe that "moderators" of Wikipedia particularily these two have abused their authority and took it out on me. Talk about injustice!...
...

I'm glad we steered away from Starbucks because it made us go and try some other coffeeshop. We found the true, original "Ice Blender" place. Since Starbucks removed the Mocha decaf and decaf coffees (no brains) my siblings and I talked about trying the "Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf." I even mentioned it here on Viewpoints. Finally we tried it on January 2009, and let me tell you, it is perfect!

The products:

They have pastries, various coffees and teas, and even merchandise like mugs, teas and coffee to make at home. My sister tried three different ones. Chocolate, Mocha, and French Vanilla. My brother and I only got the mocha. and all of them, decaf. I tasted the chocolate and vanilla from my sister and they weren't bad for my taste but I still prefer mocha. Nonetheless, they are all good.

Remember when I mentioned in Viewpoints that my brother told me he heard that Starbucks had copied some place's drinks? Unexpectedly, we found that place. The Coffee Bean. And the funny thing is, the proof......

"Warrior Princess" is written by the author, Frewin Jones, who also wrote the book series "The Faerie Path."

Brief Summary:

Fifteen year old Princess Branwen's life changes dramatically when her brother Prince Geraint dies by the ax of a Saxon, the enemies of their kingdom. Her family including her mother are well-known royalty warriors. Branwen is taken to her father's friend's kingdom for her safety before traveling south to her future husband, but then after meeting a young man, a druid, she learns that her kingdom is in for a deathly surprise. She soon escapes with the druid to her kingdom to save her parents, and there is where her warrior skills are put to use.

My Opinion:

This book is full of suspense and action-adventure pretty much all through the book.

My siblings and I have been going to Starbucks a few times for a treat. Unfortunately, since Starbucks removed the "Decaf Mocha Frappuchino" from their menu, my siblings and I decided to try instead another coffee shop (not yet though).

The Pros:

Free wireless internet

smell of coffee in the store

can purchase coffee bags to make at home

Sell company merchandise like mugs, cups, etc for gifts, fans, or for one's choice

seating available inside and a patio area

Drive-thru

Desserts available and now, a small breakfast menu

Can purchase a very small selection of CDs

Strong Coffee for coffee addicts

The Cons:

Expensive. With a purchase of one Venti (large) coffee worth about 4 or 5 bucks, you can buy a can of coffee or so at the supermarket.

No longer have Mocha Frappuchinos Decaf. I do not know if they have removed decaf cofees but I do know they removed the mocha frappuchino decaf. There are people who can drink regular and also those who can only drink decaf. Without decaf, the coffee is too strong...

...

Of all the games I've played, "City of Heroes" is the best game ever made and the best game I ever played. I love this game a lot! I first got this collector's edition in 2004 and when I came back to the game, I was able to find another one in 2006 or 2007. I have good memories of this game as well as a few bad ones.

In this edition, it comes with "Special DVD Collector's Edition features an exclusive HeroClix figure, a foldout map of Paragon City, 16-page online comic, winning entries from the City of Heroes Film Festival, previews of upcoming NCsoft games (including the City of Villains expansion), and an exclusive in-game item!" (Amazon.com)

The "exclusive in-game item" is the "Power Slide" power and a special cape which you can unlock at level 20 by doing a mission. Since then, there has been many updates and new issues that has made the game more and more better. The best thing is that in "City of heroes" you have so much more options when it comes to customising your characters. You......

For years, my family and I have been using Crest toothpaste and I didn't want to use Colgate, but that all changed when I first used a sample of "Colgate Total" in "Clean Mint paste." I don't remember if I got it from StartSampling.com or Walmart.com, but after I used it, it really did do what the ad said. It leaves my breath clean. Not throughout the whole 12 hours BUT I noticed it did keep my breath clean way longer than Crest. In addition, I use Listerine mouthwash afterwards.

So based on my experience, Colgate and Listerine makes my mouth feel so clean.

I am so glad I tried "Itunes." You can buy and download songs, music videos and even movies and TV shows. I have not purchased movies and TV shows there, but I have bought a few music videos and a lot of songs. Even songs that are rare to find, however, there were some songs I couldn't find that I wanted to get.

At first, when I bought some music videos, I thought I could play them on my DVD player. I later learned I couldn't when I submitted a query to support. What stinks is that I would have to buy some things (expensive) to be able to view the music videos on my TV. I'm grateful though that I was given a refund for the Music videos I had bought simply because I "didn't know that". I've had a couple of excellent experiences so far with customer service so that's another plus, in my opinion.

"Itunes" is mainly the best place to buy songs because you can save so much money and here's how: before "itunes" I bought CDs that were, overall, cost me a little over a hundred dollars on one shopping......

Reviewer11 says "Best songs from The Cheetah Girls" about The Cheetah Girls - "The Cheetah Girls: One World" Soundtrack

The movie and soundtrack, "The Cheetah Girls: One World" is, personally, the best songs (and movie) than the first two movies. I didn't like the first one and am kinda disappointed on the second movie because it didn't show hardly much about the culture of Spain and ... it just didn't seem that good to me. The first time I saw it, I admit, I loved it but it wasn't until later that it sunk in that I didn't like that movie so much.

But this new movie and soundtrack, "The Cheetah Girls: One World" they really blew me away! Now this movie shows a lot about the Indian Culture and the storyline is fantastic and the visual is absolutely wonderful, colorful and gorgeous. The songs are catchy, excellent and so enjoyable.

I downloaded almost all the songs of this soundtrack and now I cannot wait to purchase the DVD. In the meantime, I have to settle with watching the movie in SP quality.

There's like only 2 songs I didn't like from this album but the rest totally rock. :)...

Reviewer11 says "A new generation of The Beatles " about Jonas Brothers by Jonas Brothers

I have several songs from The jonas Brothers, mostly from the "Camp Rock" soundtrack but from this album, I have like about 3 songs that I downloaded from iTunes. One of my favorite songs is called "When you look me in the eyes." It kinda sounds familiar as if it is a remix from an 80's song but as of this point, I still don't know if it really is.

Many of the songs from the Jonas Brothers sound really good and entertaining, even motivating, depending on one's mood. I love some of their songs and it's terrific that their lyrics are clean. It is difficult to find a song outside of Disney that have clean lyrics. I hope that, when the time comes for them to leave DIsney, they will continue to write and sing clean songs.
...

Reviewer11 says "The purest water my family and I had ever tasted" about Sparkletts - Sparkletts Crystal-Fresh Purified Water

My family and I began drinking Sparkletts since my father was working for Xerox. It is kinda expensive if you have it delivered to your house but we purchase them now in bottled and in packs from stores like Food 4 Less, etc. Sometimes it is hard to find since they run out fast at certain stores but for my family and me, we love Sparkletts the best. it tastes so clean and pure and refreshing.

We had tried other brands before like Dasani (not bad either) and some other one I can't remember at the moment. There were two occasions where my mom and I have tried Arrowhead by both, cooler and bottled, but it tastes so much like tap water.

So there ya go. :) Just sharing my experience. :)
...

Reviewer11 says ""Secrets of my Hollywood Life" is one of my fave books!" about Secrets of My Hollywood Life

The first book of the series, "Secrets of my Hollywood Life" is in my opinion one of the best books I have ever read. It is suprisingly clean and enjoyable for a reader of all ages (beginning age of 12.) It is about a teen celebrity who tires of her glamorous life and decides to go to a private school where her best friend attends and diguises herself as an ordinary teenager. There, she meets her boyfriend and makes other friends who later realize her real identity after her co-star cruely reveals her true identity in front of her whole school and cameras. This book also contains a few details about Hollywood secrets which the main character reveals throughout the book.

The author, Jen Calonita, was the former senior editor of Teen People magazine (which no longer exists) and a journalist of a few other magazines. Jen has interviewed everyone from Lindsay Lohan to Ashton Kutcher. In a past interview with Teen People magazine online, Jen admitted that the main character of her book, Kaitlin......

Reviewer11 says "Proactiv NOT for everyone! ...Ouch!" about Proactiv Solution Acne Treatment

Years ago, I saw an infomercial of "Proactive" and bought it (the kit which included the mask) for my brother and me. Supposedly at that time, it stated in the informercial that it is also for those with "sensitive skin." SO NOT TRUE! Since the first application, it burned my brother's face and also mine. I have sensitive skin but my brother doesn't but we both got the same reaction about this product; "It burns!" IT HURTS! It is not gentle at all. So we stopped using it and I called to cancel the automated shipping and was asked why I wanted to cancel. "You can cancel... no questions asked." Yeah right. Customer support asked me why and kinda tried to convince me to not cancel, (only I don't remember what she had said.)

For a time now, I'm seeing a lot of advertising of this product. Now they have celebrities saying they like it and so forth but we all know that celebrities get paid to say that to attract or convince customers to buy the product.

Proactive Solution didn't work for my brother......
