      <description>We bought our Prius to replace a 1990 Dodge Dakota truck, so there was a definte change in the type of driving.&amp;nbsp; I was driving 50 miles one way to work then, so the more than doubling in miles per gallon was noticed right away (gas was about 1.70/ gallon then). &amp;mdash;  &amp;mdash; The one aspect of the Prius that surprised me was its acceleration.&amp;nbsp; It's not a sports car, but it will get up and go much better than my truck with a bigger engine ever would. &amp;mdash;  &amp;mdash; There are two negatives we have with the Prius, but neither would stop us from buying another one.&amp;nbsp; First are the blind spots.&amp;nbsp; The combination of the rear view mirror and door frame (front window support) make it hard to see out that side.&amp;nbsp; We've had several near misses at four way stops where we looked, saw no one, and as we were pulling forward discovered someone else was already there.&amp;nbsp; Now that we are aware of it, we make sure to do a triple look before pulling out.&amp;nbsp; Also, the... </description>
