Rebecca531 says "Fantastic Camera- IS is great" about Canon - Powershot SD870 IS Digital Camera Digital Camera

I did some serious research and compared this sd870, the sd750 and the new sd1100's with IS. I LOVED the large screen of the sd870 and sd750 but wanted the IS of the 1100... so, after actually buying all 3 (the nice sales folks said I could try them out and return the 2 I didn't want) and comparing image quality, color etc... I was sold on the sd870. While the IS won't cure every movement, it definitely helps and I am glad I got a camera with it and I am so pleased I went with the HUGE screen. It's amazing. I wish that the sd870 had the image resizing tool in the camera like the 1100 does-- all the 870 has is resizing for websites-- you can't choose where to crop the photo. However, it's no big deal to resize with the editing software so that's just a teeny minor issue. If you're on the fence, go with this...

Rebecca531 says "Pretty Good Double Stroller" about Dreamer Design Manhattan Jogger Stroller Deluxe

After comparison shopping for many months of my pregnancy, I opted to get the Manhattan Deluxe double stroller over the BOB double for the simple fact of price. I've been really pleased with most aspects of this stroller. The seats are large, padded and the straps easy to adjust. Unfortunately a number of pieces of the stroller seem to be literally falling off on a daily basis. I'd like to think this is a fluke and I need to contact the company to see what they can do to remedy this. None of the parts are major (caps to cover screws on wheels for ex) but still, for $450, this shouldn't be happening. If you have 2 kids (I have a 2 yr old and a 6 week old) this is a great, around town, energetic walks stroller. I'm concerned about how it will perform over rough terrain for walks in the woods since the wheels tend to stick and get locked when they are in the swivel mode... Time will...

Rebecca531 says "Decent small SUV" about Hyundai Tucson - 2007

We traded in our 6 month old MiniVan (entourage) for the Tuscon because the gas mileage was horrific on the minivan and with gas prices soaring we needed something better. We wound up with the Tuscon Ltd (with leather, sunroof etc) b/c we bought at years end and that was all that was left. I really don't like the leather but it wasn't enough to not get the car. It gets at least 5 mpg better than the minivan which is a plus. On the negative, it doesn't have great pick up and we have the V6 version. Another negative is with 2 car seats in the back there's NO room for a 3rd passenger in the middle of the back seat and that is a huge downer. The storage in the way back is minimal at best. I guess I liked the space of the minivan a lot more but wasn't willing to break the bank to fill the tank. — I think the Tuscon is probably ideal for a couple without children or with just one child. I find it hard to imagine being able to take this...

Rebecca531 says "Brilliant!" about Graco SnugRide Car Seat

It is hard to describe with words how amazing it is to be able to put an infant in their car seat and then take them still in the car seat and bring them shopping, put them in the stroller etc... My daughter took naps in this car seat when we'd arrive home and she'd fallen asleep in the car I didn't have to wake her to get her out of the car. Just picked up the whole car seat and was good to go. Sure it gets heavy, but so what. I'll take that over having to constantly put a child in and out of a car seat. When my daughter outgrew this I was so sad and it's so much more of a hassle to use a non-transportable car seat. I am excited to get to use it again for my baby who's due in...

Rebecca531 says "Nicer Than My Real Kitchen!!!!" about Step 2 Lifestyle Deluxe Kitchen

My daughter received this last Christmas when she was 16 months old. She loved it right off the bat and as she's gotten older, loves it more and more each day. Each appliance makes cool noises, the stove top makes cooking noises (but not overly annoying noises which is KEY!). It came with TONS of pots and pans. The food baskets are great for little ones to access the play food easily. And the stove LOOKS nice which may sound silly but I didn't want an ugly or overly pink and purple stove in my house. It's totally gender neutral and is the envy of all of my daughter's friends and her 6 yr old...

Rebecca531 says "Terrible Customer Service and Inept Sales People" about Best Buy

My family bought a $1,500 laptop this summer and left it with the Geek Squad to have the anti virus and spy ware software installed as Best Buy recommended. When I brought the laptop home after having this done, it wouldn't start. Turns out the Geek Squad person who installed the new software also deleted a whole lot of necessary software required for the computer to run. — When I returned to the store I got terrible customer service even from the manager (Concord NH) and was told I must have done something to the computer. — I have told all my friends and family never to shop there again. —...

Rebecca531 says "Terrible Gas Mileage" about Hyundai Entourage - 2007

This mini van is advertised as getting 18-22 in the city mileage and above that on the highway. The best I've ever gotten on the highway is 22 and in the city is around 15. I am a mom with 2 kids (well, one is due in March) and thought this was a smart choice. I regret, regret, regret getting this car and if I could trade it in without losing a ton of money I would in a heartbeat. In this day and age a car that gets this kind of gas mileage is...

Rebecca531 says "Great stroller for runners and non-runners" about Kelty Speedster Deluxe Single Jogging Stroller

I looked and researched EVERYWHERE for jogging strollers before my 1st child was born. Kelty is the best value for the money. There are others that are probably slightly more maneuverable but also cost $200-$300 more which is insane. This stroller holds a child up to 75 lbs which is the best in the industry (that I could find). I am expecting my second child in March and will be buying a double Kelty-- I love...
