I own Gravelys,however, they are much older than this. They are the two wheeled L based models.These 8000 Series do not use the traditional Gravely Drive Train like the 424 and the 430 did. The older Gravely used a two speed planetary transmission with a planetary forward and reverse. The swift a matic had a two speed differential. The 8000 Series used a shuttle transmission. Like the 424 and the 430 the engine was in the rear. There were four speeds forward and reverse. Gravely Dealers experienced problems with the shuttle transmission. I know of one dealer who quit Gravely because of different problems he was having with Gravely Products as a whole,basically shoddy workmanship.</p>... Have become friends with Nicki I have purchased a sisteen inch Craftsman Chain Saw here a few years ago. My most recent purchase has been four B.F. Goodrich Tires for my Dodge Caravan. I've also purchased  a pair of Craftsman Wire Strippers and a Propane Torch here. I liked the technical data that accfompanied the receipt for the tires from the automotive department. </p><p> </p>...
