Prosperity says "Pho Tran's is great to have in Mountlake Terrace" about Pho Tran's - Mountlake Terrace, WA

It was a sunday night and, my brother and I were getting really hungry. I suggested we look for a Pho restaurant nearby. After searching on the internet we found one within a mile of his house. It was Pho Tran's in Mountlake Terrace. Before leaving to the restaurant, JP (my brother), as we will call him, thought it would be nice to take a sauna when we got back. He turned on the sauna, and we headed out.

We drove the short drive, and pulled up into the parking lot. Pho Tran's was located in a small strip mall with just about everything you could want. There were other food restaurants, a bar, and electronic stores. We parked right out front of Pho Tran's and walked inside. As we went in we passed by a couple of odd looking fellows who were talking about how they were not afraid of anything. We ignored them and went inside.

Upon walking inside, the first thing I noticed was how bright it was. The decor was light blue, with mirrors on the walls,...
...

Prosperity says "Home Brewing Kombucha is the practical way to go" about Home Brewed Kombucha

It all started last spring when my friend brought some GT's Kombucha over to my house. I had not tried any in years, my parents used to make it when I was growing up, and the stuff literally scared me. Now being a bit older I decided to try it again, and to my surprise it was great. There were many flavors to choose from. The only problem was the cost, it was up near $4.00 per 16oz. I found myself spending well over $200/month just so I could have some every day. This was getting way out of hand for my budget, and since I knew my parents used to make it, I figured I could to. I began my research on the internet on how to make it and found a great web site, www.kombuchaamerica.com where I was able to get the yeast/microbe sent to me in the mail along with brewing instructions. The other supplies needed were a large styrofoam cooler, a heating lamp, glass gallon jars, sugar, green tea, and vinegar. Once I got all the supplies the rest was easy. Now I brew my own kombucha...
...

Prosperity says "Find a Caffe Ladro near you." about Caffe Ladro - Bothell, WA

I'm sitting here at Caffe Ladro in Bothell, WA, if you know the area you are sure to find it easily. There are many Caffe Ladro locations in the Seattle area to choose, but I don't think you'll find one if you're any place else.
This shop boasted Seattle Best Espresso for awhile, and it still ranks among the top. The baristas are very friendly, and can dress in their own style unlike the bigger chain coffee shops like Starbucks.
This particular location is a renovated garage of some sort and still has the large windows in the front. In the summer they open up the doors. The main area is furnished with comfortable leather chairs and some table and chairs. Outside there is a patio which is covered in snow right now.
Besides having great coffee and employees Caffe Ladro has their own baked goods that are sure to please the appetite. They have everything from cookies, scones, biscotti, and banana bread.
Ladro is always stocked up on the local weekly papers too, The Stranger,...
...

Prosperity says "Change your life in ten days." about The Master Cleanse Program

"The Master Cleanse" is a drink mixture of organic cayenne pepper, organic lemon or lime juice, organic maple syrup, and filtered water. These nutrients distinguish it from being a complete fast and give the body needed energy while at the same time cleaning you out. It is perfect for todays fast paced busy person. Look up these ingredients on-line, they are all very good for you. I used to want to do a cleanse but avoided them because I thought I was too busy and would not have the energy to go to work but I was wrong. While on the cleanse I was able to move furniture, and play sports.

Our body over the years stores up chemicals and toxins which are harmful to our cells and their proper functioning. We never give our bodies a break from their work, we think we're supposed to eat everyday, three times a day, but everything in moderation - right? Yes! The food we eat is toxic, the air we breath is toxic, the water we drink is toxic. Our bodies have systems to fight these...
...

Prosperity says "This is Great!" about hulu.com

The other day while watching a "Family Guy" clip on youtube I happened to look down at the bottom of the screen and see a small website address, hulu.com. It turned out they were the one's posting the clip on youtube, and after further review I discovered that hulu.com had even more to offer. They had movies, tv shows, and more, it was great and all free. It's free because advertisers promote during the movies for maybe 2min per show if not less, check it out and see for yourself.
...

Prosperity says "Don't ever go to Jiffy Lube." about Jiffy Lube - Everywhere, Everywhere

If you're thinking about getting your oil changed at Jiffy Lube, think again. Recently they overfilled my girlfriends car with oil and it broke down. One of their technicians verified that the car was over filled, but they still say it was not their fault and refuse to pay for repairs. If you want a responsible company to work on your car, it's not Jiffy Lube. She is now in the process of taking them to small claims court to pay for damages they caused on her car. It's appaling they would treat someone like her this way, she is the little guy getting pushed around by a bully. She has four kids, is in school, has little money and is going through a custody battle, and now add Jiffy Lube to the mix. Furthurmore they would not get her a rental car so she had to borrow a friends. See you in court Jiffy Lube.
...

Prosperity says "The best cup of coffee" about Coffee Percolator

The question posed today is, "how do you make the best cup of coffee?" As far as I know there are four basic ways right now, not including cowboy coffee. Most people probably still use the drip method with the filter and all, and obviously the home espresso machine is taking over because let's face it, it always makes a fresh cup given the operator is competent. But what I'm here to talk about is the french press v/s the percolator, most people are probably familiar with the french press with it's push down handle that filters the coffee through a screen. No doubt it does make a nice cup of coffee but one flaw is that in the glass presses the coffee gets cold too fast, and they break easily, but now there are insulated presses that are metal. But what about the percolator, this forgotten coffee maker, first of all they are metal and durable and can be taken camping. They don't filter the coffee through a screen but the coffee sits in a chamber and is constantly doused with recycled...
...

Prosperity says "Whistle While You Work" about Pandora Radio

www.pandora.com is a great alternative to AM/FM radio, it is over the internet and has no static like normal radio can. Unfortunately I cannot compare Pandora Radio to Satellite radio but unlike satellite Pandora is free. On Pandora you can type in and artist or a song and it will create a music station catered around what was entered, it's so great. You'll be amazed at the variety in their song bank, so check it out, but one word of caution---don't say you like a song on their thumbs up or thumbs down rating feature. The reason I say this is because the will overplay the songs you choose and you will lose the benefit of the variety that is offered.
...

Prosperity says "My Night at the Green Frog" about Green Frog Acoustic Tavern

There's a little bar in downtown Bellingham, WA for all you out of staters, that has live music every night of the week, how good it all is now this I don't know, but what I saw sunday 3-16-08 was pretty good. It all started when an old friend I hadn't seen in four years told me he had been playing drums with a guitar player he thought was pretty hot, as in good at guitar.
They started around 8:30pm and played mostly old blues covers, it was a good show composed of vocals, acoustic guitar and a modified drum set. The guitar player was good but many of his melody notes were not clear, but that is to be expected on an acoutic for a good but young player.
My girlfriend and I were at a bar called, "The Green Frog Acoustic Tavern" located on 902 N. State St. #104, it is a nice place with a good beer selection and mexican Coca Cola. Check out www.acoustictavern.com for upcoming shows.
...

"The Artist's Way," by Julia Cameron is a book designed to help blocked or stuck artists of any kind rediscover their inspiration. In this age of where money is king it can be hard for people to believe in art and know that it is a worthwhile venture, the problem being the difficulty in making money at it. For me the book has been very helpful with all of it's exercises and ways of thought that challenge me, but it's main goal is to get you off your butt, out of your head, and into action. That part has been slow coming for me, my main goal was to compose music but the book has brought me into new areas of art, now I'm writing a lot more and drawing----go figure. This book is a must for anyone serious about believing again---but you must do the work.
...

Vemma, what is this stuff, well it claims to be the most complete vitamin supplement on the market. It looks good in writing, it has magosteen, aloe vera, green tea, and many trace minerals but what does it really do? I've been taking it for over two years now and I can't tell if it works, I guess I'm not dead yet so maybe it's doing something, not that I was terminally ill before. If you do some research on mangosteen and it's paricarp you'll see many proclaimed health benefits, one of which is the reduction of fungus like athletes foot, but why is mine not gone? Does this stuff work? I'm continuing to take it and buy it for around $60/month with the hope that all that clinical research was not bull--you know what. So here's to Vemma :)
...

So I was watching 'Return of the Jedi' the other day and realized at the end that Darth is the true Jedi. Now this may seem strange to many of you who love Luke Skywalker, but listen to my point. Remember back in the earlier movies where Anakin was supposed to be the greatest Jedi ever, well in the end he turned out to be. How many other Jedi's could have gone to the dark side and still had the power to come back to the good. Plus remember that a true Jedi could not act out of anger or else that was the power of the Dark Side, but it was only a Jedi like Anakin who had to go to the Dark Side in order to be able to use anger to kill the emperor, whereas Luke would not have been able? So now you see why Anakin was the great Jedi he was supposed to be.
...
