PhantomJT says "Mind Blowing Experience! MGM does it again!" about Cirque du Soleil - Ka

This mind blowing experience MUST be experienced by all! No matter what it takes, no matter how much it costs - GO SEE KA!

I'm an avid theatregoer, and have worked in the theatre industry for many years in the US, Canada, and the UK. When I heard of KA and saw the original ticket prices I was shocked. No way would I spend that much money to see a show I knew nothing about. Sure - the circus was great...but was it THAT great?

Drop everything now and get yourself to Vegas and see the show! KA will amaze your senses in every way possible...and even in the ways you never thought possible! Dont worry about where you sit in the theatre - any ticket price range/seat will do. Mid-middle centre of course would be best. The stage is massive - you wont miss a thing even in the last row! The experience is mind blowing. The music is enchanting. The acting is outstanding! The storyline is..well...it's okay...but that doesnt matter. It's the visual effects that you care about!

Next time I'm in Vegas...
...

PhantomJT says "The Egyptian Theatre is the place to be in Park City!" about Egyptian Theatre Company

The Egyptian Theatre Company has been a local treat to Park City since the late 1800's. As a live theatre company since then, they've also been known to house the famous SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL each year. Plenty of history surrounds the theatre, and there are a few ghosts that haunt the theatre (Edwina and John).

Professionally run, this theatre recently removed it's Actors Equity status due to hard economic times. Prior to these hard years, the Actors Equity House was famous for producing plenty of live action musical theatre productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar! This particular production was a sell out for each performance and had line ups down the street of people wanting to get a ticket for each performance. It was a the place to be!

The theatre also educates local students with their Youtheatre program which runs throughout the year. Recently, the theatre had turned back into a community run theatre hosting improve events.

Still a non-profit organization, the theatre holds...
...

PhantomJT says "The Apple iPhone changed the way I live my life!" about Apple - iPhone (16 GB) Smartphone Cell Phone

Apples 3G iPhone came out with a bang in 2008, and I expect the newest version (4G due out in the summer of 2009) to break even more records. I havent been much of an Apple lover - I owned an iPod - and that was it. When I saw the first iPhone I fell in love!

This magical device has changed my life! I carry it around with me everywhere I go! Consider having a tiny computer in the back of your pocket that connects you to EVERYTHING! I have a phone, internet, email, games, contact lists, camera, note pad, calculator, and even a music player! What more could you want?

This device, hands down, beats anything else on the market. The free applications (apps) that are available for free download are an amazing bonus too! If you get tired of an application, feel free to delete it and grab a new one! Sick of that silly game you're playing? Need a change of scenary? Delete it and grab another!

Dont leave home with out it! It WILL save your life!
...

PhantomJT says "Always a different experience!" about London Pub Steak Sauce

The good ol' London Pub sauce: a true gem if used on proper foods and in proper quantities. While my wife and I lived in the UK for a year, we had plenty of opportunities to try the famous London Pub Sauce plenty of times. Each time left a different story, a different taste, and different experience!

There are a few pubs out that that use the regular HP sauce from London - which is the generic flavour you can purchase all over North America, but some pubs created their own sauce which left you wanting more.

If you need to try the generic HP sauce, I would recommend you use a small amount, as the taste is somewhat odd. Think of vinegar and BBQ sauce mixed together with a bit of a tang taste. A bold flavor which sticks with you until the end of the night. Add a pint of Guiness and you'll be all set!

I'd highly recommend you visit different pubs asking for their home made brand - as each one tastes slightly different. Some even add hot peppers or hot sauce for that powerful kick to the...
...

PhantomJT says "The newest Phantom of the Opera scared me silly!" about Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom of the Opera movie produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber was a flopped attempt at creating a live stage musical version on film. His first and major flaw was casting Butler as Phantom. Butler could NOT sing. His has no singing ability what so ever. He would never have been casted for the musical stage version - so why ruin the movie version with this sap? Webber cast Emmy Rossum as Christine - a nice fit, although a little young. Her facial expression never changes throughout the movie. A deer in the headlights if you will. Patrick WIlson - Raoul - was the only TRUE Broadway performer in this film and it shows. A perfect match, yet tragic that he had to 'act' with these other members of the unfortunate cast.

Oddly enough, Mme Giry (Miranda Richardson) was the ONLY person in the movie that had a silly accent. Keep in mind, the move takes place in PARIS FRANCE, she was the only one that had an outrageous accent! Everyone else spoke like they were from North America.

Do yourself a...
...
